Bastelanleitung: Decoration of paper - origami flower
For this decoration of paper you need the following material: paper, compass, ruler, cutting mat, cutter, glue, hot glue gun, punch

For each origami flower you need a paper strip 13 cm x 2 cm. The fold pattern is engraved on each strip. I used the top of a circle and worked on a cutting mat with grid. First a horizontal line in the center of the strip, then the vertical lines at a distance of one centimeter, and finally the diagonal lines in the upper half.

Tip: For many origami flowers of the same color, it is recommended to first plan the lines (across several strips) and then cut the strips.

Now the folding starts. First, the strip is folded like a concertina.



As shown in the photos, the diagonal lines must then be folded down at the folds.




Now the ends of the paper strip are glued together by overlapping the last centimeter.




Then comes the most difficult part: the ring is now put together to form an origami flower. The side with the diagonal folds is outside. The flower is then fixed on the back with hot glue to keep it in this form. Finally, punch out a circle and stick it in the middle of the flower. If all the flowers in the different colors are finished, you should think about how you want to arrange the individual flowers and colors. Here you just have to try out what you like best and play with the colors and shapes.



To join the individual flowers, you must cut out one square (1.3 x 1.3 cm) for each side bordering another flower and fold it diagonally. The half square is then glued to one side of a flower so that the outer edge of the flower lies on the diagonal fold. The other half of the square is then glued to the next flower. This is repeated with all sides that border a different flower and in the end creates a beautiful decoration made of paper.
