  1. As usual, take it with a grain of salt. If another translation from a reputable source comes out and differs from mine in anything, theirs is likely the correct reading.

  3. >FUWAMOCOの爆誕BAUBAU だいあり~!

  7. >Fuwawa Abyssgard
  8. The Demon Guard Dogs' facilitator, from the first twin vtubers in Hololive Productions. Always eager to tease her younger sister Mococo, she's a mischievous onee-chan.
  9. >Mococo Abyssgard
  10. The Demon Guard Dogs' rambunctious child, from the first twin vtubers in Hololive Productions. Although she's free-spirited and may fall asleep during streams, she's a very dependable person.

  12. >FIRST ISSUE: Guard Dog or monkey...?
  13.
  14. Hello, Famitsu readers! From Hololive English -Advent-, the twin demon guard dog sisters, together we're FUWAMOCO! Active mainly on YouTube, we're Vtubers! We stream a variety of games, including visual novels and retro games on original hardware. We also host a morning show, and sing nostalgic japanese songs in karaoke. We do lots of different things! Maybe it's a little confusing, but Fuwawa Abyssgard is the older sister, Mococo Abyssgard is the younger sister, and together we're FUWAMOCO!
  15.
  16. We grew up as Demon Dogs in the Northwest Passage, in the Makai, so japanese isn't our native language, but we're currently living in Japan! All the guard dogs in the Makai speak dog, so we naturally BAU BAU a lot! BAU BAU can mean "thank you", "I'm sorry", "I love you", there's lots of different uses. Everyone should try using it in your everyday lives too! It's very useful!
  17.
  18. Unlike most other vtubers, we almost always stream games together! We've always played together since we were kids, after all! Usually Mococo plays the game, and Fuwawa gives advice (also known as backseating (laughs)), this kind of style. So when our viewers (ruffians) give us all sorts of advice and tips it makes us really happy! We think of games as something to be enjoyed all together! We firmly believe that games are a key part of what made us into who are today.
  19. Mama Puppy (our mama) played games the entire time we were in her tummy too, so we've been loving games since before we were born! At that time, Mama Puppy was super into "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past"! Together with Mama Puppy and Papa Puppy, we'd play Zelda, Mario, Pokemon, we grew up playing japanese games as a family. That's why japanese games are very precious and special to us. We have memories of us all squeezing together in front of the Nintendo 64 to play "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time"! Even in the middle of getting really scared of the Skulltulas and Redeads, we'd all solve the puzzles together. It was soo much fun!

  22.
  23. The big reason why we started studying japanese was that we wanted to play games with no english version! Recently, we've been playing the nostalgic retro gaming masterpiece, "Donkey Kong Country 2" on the Super Nintendo! We actually started playing "Donkey Kong Country" shortly after our debut in Hololive Productions! So we just decided "let's play 2 as well!" And we can confidently say it's unlike any other "Donkey Kong Country 2" playthrough.
  24.
  25. Just like the first game, you can play "Donkey Kong Country 2" in two player co-op. Controlling both Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong, you set out to save Donkey Kong from the evil crocodile, Kaptain K. Rool. Since you're playing as the two characters, having two controllers is essential. So it's a perfect fit for us! Mococo plays as Diddy Kong, and Fuwawa plays as Dixie Kong. If we don't cooperate, we can't clear the stages, so team work is essential! But... it can also get pretty chaotic! (laughs)
  26.
  27. "Donkey Kong Country 2" is the most popular among fans, but it's also said to be the hardest in the series! So even though we may not be very skilled gamers (but we won't lose to anyone when it comes to enjoying them!), we always do our best! As we mentioned previously, we like playing retro games on original hardware! So we play with the japanese version on the SNES! We don't really know why, but the american cartridge we had suddenly stopped running... BAU BAU...
  28.
  29. In "Donkey Kong Country", if you turn off the power, you lose all of your remaining lives. So we aaaaalways leave the SNES on as we play it. It's been on for many months now (laughs). The Super Nintendo is a really strong console, isn't it? We're Demon Guard Dogs, but whenever we play Donkey Kong we scream SO loud that we sound more like monkeys... The Ruffians are always saying that "FUWAMOCO scream so much during Donkey Kong that it's basically the scariest horror game ever!" (laughs) Mococo gets so fired up when playing Donkey Kong, that I even broke a chair once...! It's so much fun, though, that I don't really mind breaking one or two chairs!!
  30.
  31. We'll continue doing our best trying to save Donkey Kong from Kaptain K. Rool in "Donkey Kong 2"! Let's have lots of fun together playing games, writing many new memories into our diary! And that was FUWAMOCO! BAU BAU!
  32.
  33. >RECENTLY LEARNED JAPANESE
  34.
  35. Since Japanese isn't our native language, we're learning new words every day! We just talked about it, but the impetus for us starting our japanese studies was wanting to be able to play any game! But even to this day we're always learning! Recently, we learned the word "Denmoku"! That little digital tablet you use to pick songs in karaoke! We really love singing, so in the past we used to go at least once a week! Since joining Hololive Productions, a lot of people have been listening to our singing and our voices. We sang YOASOBI's "Kaibutsu", SPEED's "White Love", and in our 3D Birthday LIVE, along with Shirakami Fubuki-senpai, Houshou Marine-senpai and Omaru Polka-senpai, we sang a live version of "Let's Go Onmyoji", we'd be really happy if you listened to them! And we also have our original song, "Born to be "BAU"DOL" available to sing in karaoke! It's a very cute and energetic song, with lots of "BAU BAU", it'll definitely get stuck in your head! We'd be really happy if you could try singing it some day!
