  2. 06[20:58] * Altea barges into the other squad's dorms. "Marcus!"
  3. 03[20:58] * IDphone ([email protected]) has joined #TSABIC
  4. [21:00] <Ikiryo> Marcus is, fortunetly, used to Alteainteruptions so he doesn't even move from the couch where he's reading. Unlike Delta, who falls out of her seat.
  5. 01[21:00] <Altea> "Hi Delta. Marcus, we're going on a date tonight! Somewhere fancy! So make sure you dress up, kay? I'll be back at 8 to pick you up!"
  6. 06[21:00] * Altea leaves.
  7. [21:02] <Ikiryo> Marcus looks up and idly checks the time.
  8. [21:02] <Ikiryo> Delta looks like a hurricane just came through.
  9. 06[21:05] * Altea goes about her daily routine. Physical Therapy, workout, borrowing Tazzari's notes, the usual stuff.
  10. [21:07] <Ikiryo> Things go mostly well, physical theraphy wise she's nearly completely recovered as much as one arm can be.
  11. 06[21:09] * Altea shows up fifteen minutes early cause she's EXCITED. A nice dress, picked out by Rhi for both it being pretty and also being able to put it on herself with one hand. Though it's also strapless, so there's Rhi's influence. Nothing crazy frilly or anything, just a nice blue dress that runs down to her knees, with gold earrings and more makeup than usual.
  12. [21:09] <Ikiryo> Rhi helped her put the makeup on.
  13. [21:10] <Ikiryo> Her words about the first attempt included 'Racoon Whore'.
  14. [21:10] <Ikiryo> Marcus is there waiting for her in black trousers and a white button down shirt, rather well tailored for his slim figure. Rhiannon likely helped there too.
  15. 01[21:11] <Altea> Likely so. She wraps her arm around him and gives him a kiss on the cheek. "You look great."

  18. [21:12] <Ikiryo> He smiles and kisses her back. "You look amazing."
  19. 01[21:12] <Altea> "Thanks." She blushes a little. "Ready to go?"
  20. [21:12] <Ikiryo> "As soon as you tell me where we are going."
  21. 01[21:13] <Altea> "Oh, yeah, some fancy restaurant Rhi told me about."
  22. 01[21:13] <Altea> "What was the name again?" She thinks.

  24. [21:16] <Ikiryo> Blackbird Bar and Grill. Rhiannon reccomended it, it's a very fine dining place on the edge of the beach that serves meals Rhi thinks Altea will like.
  25. 01[21:17] <Altea> "Blackbird Grill, by the beach."
  26. [21:18] <Ikiryo> He nods. "I've never seen it." He smiles. "I"m sure it will be great."
  27. 01[21:19] <Altea> "Hope so! Rhi told me about it. Ready to go then?"
  28. [21:20] <Ikiryo> He leans in, giving her a kiss on the cheek. "Sure."
  29. 06[21:21] * Altea smiles, taking his hand in hers. "Let's go then."
  30. [21:23] <Ikiryo> The seating for Blackbird is actually out over the water on a bright white deck overhanging the ocean in the open air. Floating magical lights provide illumination around the table and professionally dressed staff head between them. It's a very different dining experiance to kitties.
  31. 06[21:25] * Altea sits at the table, looking at the menu and ordering a drink. "This place is so nice! I wonder if there's something I could use at work..."
  32. [21:27] <Ikiryo> "Oh?" He orders a drink of his own and a moment later, they both have them.
  33. 01[21:30] <Altea> "Well, just thinking a bit about trying to improve our customer experience. But now's not really the time, right?"
  34. 01[21:30] <Altea> "So how have you been? Things have been so crazy lately..."
  35. [21:31] <Ikiryo> "I was watching the talk show last night with you...you did really well."
  36. 01[21:31] <Altea> "Thanks. I tried real hard."
  37. 01[21:31] <Altea> "That was such a mess though. That thing that hit me took like three whole hours to heal."
  38. [21:32] <Ikiryo> "...what took time to heal?"
  39. 01[21:32] <Altea> "Oh, did you see the thing about the guy pulling out a mass based weapon and trying to kill Hecate?"
  40. 01[21:32] <Altea> "He hit me with it one time."
  41. 06[21:34] * Altea orders an appetizer of burnt ends nachos.
  42. [21:36] <Ikiryo> "Did you tell anyone?"
  43. 01[21:37] <Altea> "Alexa. She pulled it out of me when we got back to the dorm."
  44. [21:37] <Ikiryo> He reaches over to take some of the appetizers. "...a mass based weapon shouldn't be able to hurt you like that."
  45. 01[21:38] <Altea> "Yeah, I thought it was weird too."
  46. 01[21:38] <Altea> "Guess I just wasn't ready for it." She also eats.
  47. [21:38] <Ikiryo> "You might want to get someone to examine that weapon." He shakes his head, looking worried.
  48. 01[21:39] <Altea> "I will. Are you alright?"
  49. [21:42] <Ikiryo> "...just worried about you right now." He smiles at her.
  50. 01[21:42] <Altea> "I could tell. Part of the reason I got this all set up, you know? I saw how hard you pushed yourself after my fight with Hugo."
  51. [21:45] <Ikiryo> He bites his lip. "I don't want you to get hurt again."
  52. 06[21:46] * Altea scoots her chair closer to put her arm around his shoulder. "I don't know if that's something you or me can stop."
  53. [21:46] <Ikiryo> "I want to try at least." He leans into her.
  54. 01[21:47] <Altea> "That's why I love you, but it also makes you kind of dumb." She smiles. "You don't do me any favors running yourself ragged either."
  55. 03[21:50] * IDphone ([email protected]) has joined #TSABIC
  56. [21:51] <Ikiryo> He sighs. "Maybe not...but I want to be there to help you."
  57. 06[21:53] * Altea grins. "Now that we can do."
  58. 01[21:55] <Altea> "Want to know what I want to go into when I'm done training?"
  59. [21:56] <Ikiryo> "Hmm?"
  60. 01[21:56] <Altea> "I think I want to go into the Tactical Instructor Corps. Like Lt. Strommons."
  61. [21:57] <Ikiryo> "...really?" He looks suprised by that.
  62. 01[21:57] <Altea> "Yeah. I think that's what I want to do."
  63. [21:58] <Ikiryo> "I think you'd be good at it but...why?"
  64. 01[22:00] <Altea> "Just thinking about things in light of everything that's happened. The galaxy is crazy and we need good people to stand up and fight for what's right, but we also need people to train the new generation. Teach them what strength is, what's right, and how to believe in yourself and your...beliefs."
  65. 01[22:01] <Altea> "And so I want to do that. I want to keep those new cadets under my wing" She waves her left arm for emphasis "and make sure they're gonna do the right thing. Like Ms. Strommons did for us."
  66. [22:01] <Ikiryo> "...wow." He smiles at her, seeming impressed. "You've really thought about this."
  67. 06[22:01] * Altea nods, beaming. "Yep! And it was easier than most thinking!"
  68. [22:02] <Ikiryo> He chuckles. "If you want to do it, I'm sure you'll be great."
  69. 01[22:02] <Altea> "Thanks. Have you thought any about the future?"
  70. [22:11] <Ikiryo> "Some...but I don't know." He shakes his head.
  71. 01[22:11] <Altea> "Well, don't rush. We have time."
  72. [22:12] <Ikiryo> "...yeah, everyone else knows what they want to be however. Me? I don't know." He sighs.
  73. 01[22:12] <Altea> "Most of them also have a head start on you."
  74. [22:13] <Ikiryo> He chuckles. "I suppose..."
  75. 01[22:14] <Altea> She pulls him close. "Take your time. You'll figure it out. It's not like knowing this now means I change courses or whatever."

  77. [22:16] <Ikiryo> He nods and gives her a quick hug. "This is getting a bit serious."
  78. 01[22:18] <Altea> "Yeah, though I think we've been together long enough for it to make sense."
  79. [22:18] <Ikiryo> He steals a small kiss. "Want to order now?"
  80. 01[22:18] <Altea> "Yep! I know exactly what I want."
  81. 06[22:19] * Altea orders the Porterhouse, Medium Rare.
  82. [22:19] <Ikiryo> "Oh?" He raises an eyebrow, putting in an order for the surf and turf.
  83. 01[22:19] <Altea> "The biggest steak on their menu."
  84. 03[22:20] * IDphone ([email protected]) has joined #TSABIC
  85. [22:20] <Ikiryo> He laughs. "Now I know you are nearly all better."
  86. 06[22:20] * Altea grins. "Like some idiot Belkan with a magic stick could keep me down for long."
  87. 01[22:21] <Altea> "Oh, though speaking of, when we went back to the Caledfwlch facility, a dragon in a portal told me how to unmake the Kinslayer Spear. We need to figure out a good time to make a trip back to Francisco."
  88. [22:22] <Ikiryo> He nods. "Alright. How long do you think the visit will be?"
  89. 06[22:22] * Altea shrugs. "I guess it kind of depends, but the actual thing I was thinking of would probably be a day, so just add travel time?"
  90. 01[22:25] <Altea> "Maybe an extra day to see everyone."
  91. 02[22:25] * IDphone ([email protected]) Quit (Ping timeout)
  92. [22:25] <Ikiryo> "Maybe mid-semester break?"
  93. 01[22:25] <Altea> "That's a good idea."
  94. [22:27] <Ikiryo> The food is soon deli...wow, that IS a large steak.
  95. 06[22:28] * Altea grins. "Thanks Rhi!"

  97. [22:31] <Ikiryo> Marcus chuckles. "I think you've found a new love~"
  98. 01[22:32] <Altea> "Nah, it's nice and all, but it's gonna be gone sooner than you."

  100. [22:34] <Ikiryo> "I'd hope so." He digs into his own prawns.
  101. 06[22:34] * Altea also digs in.
  102. [22:35] <Ikiryo> The food is really, really good.
  103. 06[22:38] * Altea takes a bit, but polishes off the steak.
  104. 01[22:38] <Altea> "That was good. The hardest part was cutting it to be honest."
  105. 01[22:38] <Altea> "That's why I stopped doing that."
  106. [22:38] <Ikiryo> He smiles. "You could have asked me to do it for you."
  107. 01[22:40] <Altea> "Where's the fun in that?"
  108. [22:40] <Ikiryo> "It would help me feel more useful." His smile gets a big cheeky.
  109. 01[22:41] <Altea> "Oh? You want to be useful?"
  110. [22:41] <Ikiryo> He nods.
  111. 01[22:42] <Altea> "Then order us some dessert, yeah?"
  112. [22:43] <Ikiryo> "Alright then~" He quickly orders a large dessert for Altea. Fortunetly, he knows what Altea likes.
  113. 01[22:43] <Altea> Fortunately indeed.
  114. 01[22:46] <Altea> One large dessert later, and Altea is just leaning on her boyfriend, taking in the scenery and the mood.
  115. [22:48] <Ikiryo> The waves washing in and out in front of them as Marcus supports her.
  116. 01[22:48] <Altea> "This was perfect."
  117. [22:49] <Ikiryo> "I'm glad you think so...it was nice to spend time with you."
  118. 06[22:50] * Altea smiles. "Same goes for you, though there's one more thing."
  119. 03[22:50] * ID_Work ([email protected]) has joined #TSABIC
  120. [22:51] <Ikiryo> "Oh? What's that?"
  121. 01[22:51] <Altea> "Well, when I got the transportation set up, I set up one more thing. We can either go back to the dorms...or we can go somewhere private."
  122. [22:51] <Ikiryo> He blushes brilliantly...but smiles and leans in to kiss Altea
  123. 06[22:52] * Altea kisses back. "So, dorms?" She teases.
  124. [22:54] <Ikiryo> "Somewhere private would be nice..."
  125. 06[22:54] * Altea grins. "I'll tell the driver then."
