- Lots of good stuff this time. I don't know how much if it you'll be able to use until this "reboot" is done (some of them have Flintstones in them) but I'm pretty proud of most of these.
- I've put all of them in a ZIP file for convenience. The file was too big to attach to an email, so I put it in a dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/naj038yrauj4csn/High%20Quality%20Video%20Game%20Rips.zip?dl=0
- The contents of the ZIP file are as follows:
- 1. final rush high quality rip - This is a mashup of Final Rush from Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and is basically a really bad pun. I basically mashed it up first with The Final Countdown by Europe (the "Final" part), and then with that Russian folk song that I can't remember the name of (get it... Rush... RUSSIAN... hahahahaha please stick my head in a vat of fine piss) followed by Flintstones. After that, it starts playing guitar feedback (a reference to the fact that there's very quiet guitar feedback at that point in the actual Final Rush song if you listen closely) which grows to be insanely loud... and I won't spoil the rest. This one is probably the least good of the ones in the folder; partially because it was the first one I did, but also because SA2B doesn't store its music as MIDI data (it's just streamed straight from an audio file), which made it incredibly difficult to edit the Russian song and Flintstones in. If you listen closely you can still hear the old instruments in the background, but with my somewhat limited expertise there wasn't anything I could do about that.
- 2. flintstones boondocks - Okay, this one I'm REALLY proud of. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the Boondocks TV series, but the two main characters always refer to the grandfather as "Grand Dad". As a reference to this, I mashed up the title screen of the NES Flintstones game with the Boondocks opening theme. For some reason they sound very slightly out of sync at some points, at least to me, but that's probably because the songs simply have different internal rhythms - I made sure the tempos were synced up exactly, so maybe I'm just nitpicking. (To be clear: This is meant to be uploaded as the Title Screen from Flintstones on NES, not as Boondocks.)
- 3. fnaf circus suicide mouse - This is just the opening section from the infamous suicidemouse.avi creepypasta video, which sounds like it could have come right out of FNAF, followed by the screaming from the same video as a jumpscare at the very end. I put this down as being the Circus theme since that's the one that keeps getting uploaded, but you could honestly put this down as anything from FNAF and it would work just as well.
- 4. fnaf filthy frank - This is a version of the Circus theme running gag on the channel where, after the record scratch, it cuts to audio of Filthy Frank from one of his greenscreen clips insulting the viewer. I could have sentence mixed him to say something related to the channel, but I felt it was good enough as-is, and sentence mixing him would make it too similar to Chad Daddy anyway. (Also, I'm bad at sentence mixing :P .)
- 5. fnaf hank hill - This is another FNAF Circus theme gag, only this time it cuts to this bizarre clip that me and my brother did a few months back of us doing a really creepy mpression of Hank Hill singing the song "I'm Proud to Be an American". The clip itself (without the FNAF circus part) is on my soundcloud page: https://soundcloud.com/ingx24/im-proud-to-be-an-american-cover-by-hank-hill
- 6. funky danny phantom - The bass line of Funky's Armory from DK64 sounds very similar to the bassline from the Danny Phantom theme song. This one has some slight audio distortion on the Danny Phantom song due to it being slowed down; again, my limited expertise prevented me from doing anything about this. It's not that noticeable, and I'm sure I'm just nitpicking again, but I wanted to make sure you knew that I knew it was there in case you noticed it.
- 7. Super Mario Bros. Castle Ridley - This joke is so obvious that I'm honestly surprised no one has done it yet. This is the Castle theme from SMB1, except the bass line has been changed to the Ridley's Lair bass line from the NES Metroid (with the harmonies adjusted to fit). (To be clear: This is meant to be uploaded as the SMB1 Castle theme, not Ridley's Lair.)
- 8. tourian mussorgsky - This one may need some explaining. As it turns out, the Tourian theme from the NES Metroid (and, by extension, the one from Super and Zero Mission as well) is an exact copy, note for note, of the second theme from the piece Gnomus from Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Well... almost. There are 2 notes that are different by one half step, both of which are on upbeats and simply change a "down a fifth, up a tritone" motion into a "down a tritone, up a fourth" motion, which is so insignificant that I honestly suspect it was a copying error. All I did here was take the part of the Mussorgsky theme that the used and extend it to the end of the phrase and into the next one. I have 2 versions in the file, one that ends with the Flintstones theme and one that does not. It's your choice which one to use, and you could even use both at some point if you really want to fuck with people (which seems to be a theme on the channel right now).
- That's it for now, although I'll likely have more in the near future. Hopefully they're all up to snuff and will be a valuable contribution to the channel. Cheers!
- -Steven
