Magical Burst 0 (Pariah's)

[00:20]	Bartleby	It is another fine day at Our Lady of Belgradire High. Its a warm spring day though there is a curious amount of girls that have been out sick lately. Stranger still the each of you receive a note from a secret admirer asking to meet on the roof after school.
[00:22]	Dorothy	is very hesitant to even bother with such a strange note. She's tried these sorts of blind dates before... They never work out.
[00:23]	Dorothy	lingers inside the doorway at the top of the stairwell, seeing if anyone is even there in the first place.
[00:24]	Miaka	is walking up the stairs alongside her sister Diana, still flipping out about the note, as she has been since she got it.
[00:24]	Bartleby	The roof appears to be empty from the stairwell
[00:24]	Miaka	Diana, who is this? Why did we BOTH get notes? Do you think whoever gave the notes has a sister fetish or something?
[00:25]	Diana	...Maybe they are twins.
[00:25]	Angelica	marches up the stairwell and past Dorothy, hardly even registering her existence. She looks around the roof, eyes bright and hopeful, and suddenly her whole presence dulls.
[00:25]	Diana	that would be interesting, don't you think so?
[00:25]	Diana	smiles.
[00:25]	Dorothy	notices all these other girls coming up the stairs at the same time. What...?
[00:26]	Dorothy	keeps against the wall, heart sinking into her gut. Some kind of setup, probably...
[00:26]	Bartleby	"Ah, you're all here. Good." A mysterous voice echos over the rooftop
[00:27]	Diana	Hm?
[00:27]	Diana	turns-
[00:28]	Miaka	yelps in surprise and throws her book in the direction of the voice!
[00:28]	Angelica	looks straight up into the sky, then turns around and looks at the other girls.
[00:28]	Bartleby	hops onto a ventilation box. He is an ivory pale frog with no eyes and strange reg designs over his body. Above him is a circle of eyes floating in place. The ocular halo drifts lightly in a rotation, the eyes blinking and glancing out of unison.
[00:29]	Bartleby	"I knew you would answer the call. I am rarely mistaken."
[00:29]	Angelica	then turns her eyes to Bartleby.
[00:29]	Dorothy	hears a not-very-comforting voice up on the rooftop. "All here" doesn't even include her, apparently... She slides down against the wall, sighing and paying no attention to what's going on outside.
[00:29]	Angelica	"Ah, a messenger of Satan."
[00:30]	Angelica	reaches into her shirt and pulls out a rosary, holding onto it tightly.
[00:30]	Miaka	boggles at the strange looking frog.
[00:31]	Miaka	Y-you look like something from one of my Japanese animes!
[00:31]	Diana	grabs her sister's hand tight.
[00:31]	Diana	S-stay calm. I'm sure it won't do anything unless we provoke it.
[00:31]	Angelica	glares at Miaka.
[00:32]	Angelica	What are you doing here? Did you send me this note as a mean prank?
[00:32]	Miaka	isn't even paying attention to Angelica, staring at the demon frog.
[00:32]	Bartleby	"Dorthy, you received the note as well. Show yourself, as I see you there anyway. And Angelica, your accusation is comical. For I offer the chance to do God's work."
[00:32]	Angelica	looks surprised.
[00:33]	Diana	You don't look divine to me...
[00:33]	Dorothy	hears snippets of conversation, and suddenly her name?! She peeks her head out of the doorway and sees... a thing.
[00:33]	Angelica	...So, you aren't here to challenge my faith in the Almighty? I'm not a modern day Job?
[00:33]	Dorothy	's heart flutters strangely. W-What...?
[00:34]	Dorothy	inches herself out of the doorway but does not yet join the rest of the group. A strange mixture of caution and curiosity.
[00:35]	Diana	Sister... Let's get out of this place. It's too bizarre a situation.
[00:35]	Miaka	Y-yeah...
[00:35]	Diana	begins to back off.
[00:35]	Miaka	also backs away
[00:35]	Bartleby	"The shapes of angels may be strange to mortal eyes, Diana. Such as the Ophanim."
[00:36]	Angelica	takes a few steps towards the frog.
[00:36]	Bartleby	shoots his tongue out and shuts the door when Dorothy gets out of the doorway
[00:36]	Diana	Wha-!
[00:36]	Miaka	Ah-!
[00:36]	Miaka	is knocked on her bum as the tongue whizzes past her.
[00:36]	Dorothy	stumbles and falls onto the ground, terrified!
[00:36]	Angelica	"It's true that God works in mysterious ways, and his messengers have strange forms... So, you've come to reward me for my constant service to the Lord?"
[00:36]	Dorothy	"Ah-aaah!"
[00:37]	Dorothy	scrambles backwards and keeps her back to the wall, taking off her backpack and clutching it in front of her like a shield.
[00:38]	Diana	leads her sister to somewhere out of sight, or at least with a cover. Observing this from afar is the best method for now...
[00:39]	Bartleby	"Indeed, Angelica, I offer a reward for services rendered. If the services are rendered. I will grant any wish you desire."
[00:39]	Angelica	's eyes light up.
[00:39]	Angelica	"Any wish!?"
[00:40]	Diana	...Wish?
[00:40]	Bartleby	"Any. Does that not interest the four of you?"
[00:40]	Dorothy	is freaking out. Weird frog... eyes... tongue... no, no no no, it's a dream, and she's just too confused to wake up is all...
[00:40]	Miaka	peeks out from above the air conditioner that she and Diana are hiding behind
[00:41]	Dorothy	shivers behind her backpack, blotting out the image. Wrong... Wrong wrong all wrong, please don't hurt me...
[00:41]	Diana	spots the terrifying girl.
[00:41]	Diana	Miaka... should we...?
[00:41]	Diana	directs her concerned gaze at Dorothy.
[00:42]	Bartleby	"I give a tool to each of you with which you may strike at the heart of demons. Give me the oblivion seeds from their fallen forms for disposal and you shall recieve your due reward."
[00:42]	Angelica	takes a few more steps towards the frog.
[00:42]	Bartleby	opens his mouth and sticks out his tongue. Hanging on it are four pendants with a rune on them. The same rune is one the tip of his tongue.
[00:42]	Miaka	..
[00:42]	Angelica	"I'll do it! Anything for the kingdom of God!"
[00:43]	Dorothy	doesn't know what to think. Can't, can't be a dream... a hoax. Must be a hoax. New reality television show...
[00:43]	Bartleby	lays the four pendants on the ground.
[00:43]	Dorothy	doesn't know if she wants to be on a show that jumps out of nowhere...
[00:43]	Miaka	has her curiosity piqued and walks out from behind the air conditioner, approaching Bartleby.
[00:43]	Angelica	grabs for one of the pendants.
[00:44]	Diana	Wait----!
[00:44]	Diana	is about to stop her, but the same curiosity cause her to went along with this in the guise of trying to stop Miaka.
[00:45]	Bartleby	[The pendant glows when Angelica takes it and she transforms into her magical girl form]
[00:45]	Miaka	stumbles backwards.
[00:47]	Dorothy	has been peeking from behind her backpack on and off, but mostly off. Suddenly, she thinks she feels something. Lights...? Perhaps, music...?
[00:47]	Angelica	now has two bulky shoulderpads with ornate, golden crosses on them. Her skirt grows longer and whiter as tights form around her legs. Finally, she gets a breastplate that forms almost perfectly to her chest.
[00:49]	Miaka	Wh-wh-wh-whaaaaaa?!
[00:49]	Angelica	A cape unfurls from her back as she grips a beam of light, striking the air with it as it becomes a lance. Finally, a headband forms around her head, and two cartoony angel wings *pop* onto the sides.
[00:49]	Dorothy	can't understand... She misses most of this "transformation" and only watches closely at the very end. What on Earth...?
[00:50]	Angelica	strikes the air a few more times with her lance, her eyes ablaze.
[00:50]	Diana	stands there, mesmerized by the sight.
[00:50]	Diana	...an angel, descended.
[00:50]	Dorothy	cannot think of what sort of reality show would take such elaborate measures... But it can't be anything else. There's no other possibilities that she can think of.
[00:51]	Angelica	"Magical Knight Cutie, protector of God's people!"
[00:51]	Angelica	strikes out at the air a couple more times, completely focused on her new armor and weapon.
[00:51]	Diana	.....
[00:51]	Bartleby	"Ah, I had forgot to introduce myself. I am unfamilar in dealing with humans, I apologize. I am Bartleby the Observer."
[00:51]	Diana	.....pft.
[00:51]	Miaka	sees what happened and instantly puts two and two together.
[00:52]	Miaka	I-I want to be a magical girl too!
[00:52]	Miaka	runs over and picks up her own pendant.
[00:52]	Bartleby	[Miaka becomes the magical girl]
[00:52]	Diana	MIAKA! Have you ever think things through for once----
[00:52]	Angelica	keeps striking at the air, completely oblivious to what everyone else is doing.
[00:53]	Diana	is too late, however. Miaka has transformed before her very eyes.
[00:53]	Dorothy	watches these oddities transpire intently now. She won't miss this one; she has to find out what's going ON here!
[00:55]	Miaka	is surrounded by a starry night sky, and throws her arms outward as a suit of power armor begins to fly out from beyond sight and clasps onto her, segment by segment, working up her arms and legs until she's fully armored.
[00:56]	Miaka	raises her arms and a giant assault rifle larger than she is tall appears in her hands, which she spins behind her back easily before her helmet drops from above with a resounding 'CLANK', completing her outfit.
[00:57]	Dorothy	rubs her eyes. This... no, this can't be... what... IS it a dream? Nothing in dreams make sense, after all...
[00:57]	Miaka	brandishes her rifle as the starry background fades, looking down at herself and taking it all in.
[00:57]	Miaka	This...
[00:57]	Miaka	is...
[00:57]	Miaka	AWESOME!!
[00:57]	Angelica	turns around and smiles at Miaka.
[00:58]	Angelica	"Isn't it!?"
[00:58]	Miaka	jumps up and down, causing the roof to shake a bit. The armor is obviously TERRIBLY heavy, but Miaka moves as if it is weightless to her.
[00:58]	Diana	Whah-!
[00:58]	Diana	slips from the tremor.
[00:58]	Diana	Hey!
[00:58]	Miaka	Ah... sorry-!
[00:58]	Diana	I always tell you about being level-headed in every situation!
[00:58]	Miaka	Sorry! Sorry!
[00:58]	Diana	You can't jump in and do.... things!
[00:59]	Miaka	begs forgiveness from her sister, even as she now towers over her at nearly 10 feet tall.
[00:59]	Diana	You haven't even heard about the description!
[00:59]	Dorothy	is slowly backing towards the door. This is insane, completely insane... Must get away, get away before something bad happens, something bad IS going to happen at this rate...
[01:00]	Miaka	But, this is so cool! What's the worst that can happen!
[01:00]	Miaka	Look! I HAVE A GUN THAT'S BIGGER THAN ME!
[01:00]	Bartleby	"With your soul made form you may fight the demons and wrest the oblivion seeds from them."
[01:00]	Diana	turns to Bartleby.
[01:00]	Diana	doesn't even have to ask. the monster in question tells her the info.
[01:01]	Diana	...fight? ...with demons?
[01:01]	Angelica	hoists the lance up on one shoulder as she walks towards Dorothy.
[01:01]	Diana	turns to Miaka. Obviously angry, and... crying?
[01:01]	Bartleby	"Yes. Monsters that nest in your world and rob mortals of their energy."
[01:01]	Diana	Look! This is why... this is why I told you to think things through!
[01:01]	Angelica	"Don't I... know you from somewhere? Church? The Young Christian Athletes?"
[01:02]	Diana	Now look what you have gotten yourself into!
[01:02]	Dorothy	notices someone coming for her. There's no time to run away... she can only curl up into a tight little ball and not make eye contact...
[01:02]	Miaka	Don't worry! I can't lose like this!
[01:02]	Miaka	I mean... watch!
[01:03]	Angelica	raises a brow as she reaches the girl. She lays on her side and pokes the side of Dorothy's head.
[01:03]	Miaka	aims out into the empty school field and fires a single round from her rifle. The bullet leaves a crater the size of a small car.
[01:03]	Angelica	What's the matter? You're saved, right? There's no reason to fear God's work!
[01:03]	Miaka	And this thing is /automatic/!
[01:03]	Diana	----!
[01:04]	Diana	's hair is blown away with the wind.
[01:04]	Diana	Still!
[01:04]	Dorothy	is closing her eyes shut and shaking her head.
[01:04]	Diana	grabs the 'thing' that frog leave on the ground.
[01:04]	Diana	I can't let you do it alone!
[01:05]	Dorothy	"No... n-no, no, please, please leave me alone... I'm-m sc, I'm scared, I just want to go home, please..."
[01:05]	Bartleby	"Miaka, you should do well to not make your power known to others. Such as making large holes in their things."
[01:05]	Bartleby	[Diana transforms as well]
[01:05]	Diana	You said magical girl, right? So be it. I will take this, whether it is a bless or a curse!
[01:05]	Angelica	sits up and looks down at the girl. She nods and pats Dorothy's head, stroking her hair softly.
[01:06]	Angelica	"Come on, it's okay. There's no reason to be afraid, just open your eyes and look up!"
[01:07]	Diana	is engulfed with rose vine. The thorny vine lashes around her body, tearing her old clothes to shred, while manage to cover the necessary parts. Starting with her hands and arms. It forms into a metallic arm guard and gloves with a green hue.
[01:07]	Dorothy	is not comforted and balls up even tighter.
[01:08]	Angelica	humphs.
[01:08]	Diana	's leg is also equipped with a long leg guard with a scaling like that of an ancient dragon. Her breastplate covers up from her waist to her chin, but purposely left her forearms area open.
[01:08]	Angelica	"Things won't go away if you just curl up into a ball, anyway! You're just putting yourself in more danger!"
[01:09]	Miaka	Ahh... sorry...
[01:10]	Diana	pull a long rose from her hair, in which it transform into heavy halberd like that of an ancient celtic era. It made a loud 'clang' as it hits the ground.
[01:10]	Diana	...for you, I will fight.
[01:10]	Bartleby	"One last piece of advice. The tools glow near demons, use this to find them. You will not need search far to locate one. I will observe your progress."
[01:10]	Bartleby	hops towards the door
[01:11]	Dorothy	is losing a large portion of her ability to reason right now. Strange flying armors and sparkling lights out of nowhere... This does not bring her joy. Not here. Not like this...
[01:13]	Angelica	sighs, and decides that if she can't reason with the girl, she can at least watch her and make sure she doesn't get hurt.
[01:13]	Diana	Wait. Frog-thing.
[01:13]	Diana	I still have many questions to ask you.
[01:13]	Bartleby	"Yes?"
[01:13]	Bartleby	stops but does not turn around
[01:14]	Diana	When will it end?
[01:14]	Bartleby	"...When you stop. I will grant a wish every thirteen oblivion seeds."
[01:15]	Diana	...thirteen oblivion seeds, huh.
[01:15]	Diana	You said a wish. What is an extent of those wish?
[01:16]	Bartleby	"Only your prudence and imagination."
[01:16]	Dorothy	should be thinking right now, thinking about amazing things... but she can't. This, this isn't... can't be... must be, something else... She just wants to go home...
[01:16]	Miaka	A wish...
[01:17]	Diana	...what if we want to quit?
[01:18]	Bartleby	"Simply cease tracking down the demons, if you no longer want your wildest desires fulfilled."
[01:19]	Diana	...
[01:19]	Diana	That is all.
[01:20]	Bartleby	"You will do well. But of course, it is why I seleted you."
[01:20]	Bartleby	opens the door and hops away
[01:20]	Angelica	is too busy sitting by Dorothy and admiring her lance to ask any questions.
[01:22]	Miaka	Hey, wait! How do you turn this off!
[01:22]	Miaka	suddenly de-transforms, having thought 'I don't want to wear this right now.'
[01:22]	Miaka	...oh.
[01:23]	Diana	put the sharp edge of her halberd in front of Miaka.
[01:23]	Diana	You are in for some big scolding, Miaka.
[01:23]	Miaka	H-hey! Careful with that!
[01:23]	Diana	Who else has made that pact?
[01:23]	Diana	looks around.
[01:23]	Dorothy	catches only bits and pieces of the girls' questions and explanations. None of it makes sense. Demons, wishes? It's all one big jumble of paranoia to her in this instant...
