  287. Spamming the use of commands both to other users and commands as a whole or anything similar.

  290. Using unsupported mods to cause game crashes.

  293. Using names similar to any current living or deceased political leader.

  296. Creating another account to get around a temp ban / perm ban.

  299. Driving in the dark without lights is forbidden.

  302. Attempting to use desync in order to cause damage to another users truck is forbidden.

  305. Ping Issues
  306. If your ping is over 650ms to the server you will be disconnected from the server in order to avoid desync issues for others.

  308. Overtaking
  309. This is a very simple howto guide on how to overtake (and be overtaken) properly.
  310.  
  311. The first thing you should be aware of is DESYNC. Basically, what you see on your screen is not always what the other players are seeing. This might cause (unintentional) ramming in many situations. To counter that effect, here's some practical information that you should always follow.

  313. When overtaking
  314.  
  315. - Start your overtaking maneuver when you are at least 60m from the truck in front of you (you can always check the distances using the <TAB> key).
  316. - Stay in line
  317. - When you checked that the other driver is 100m behind you, you can start foldind back.
  318. - Alternatively, if you see the other driver turn its lights on, or hear him honk 2 short times, it means that you can fold back safely from his point of view, even if you're not 100m ahead. In that case, it's nice to thank him using the left-right-left-right blinker signal. Note that high beams would normally be used IRL, but cannot be seen for now in the MP game.

  323. - If you're riding at 90 km/h, it is nice to speed down a little so the other driver has a chance to overtake you.
  324. - When there's enough distance between you and the overtaker (60m should be enough), turn your lights on (or honk 2 short times if it's night time and your lights are already turned on) to signal that he can fold back safely.

  329. Administrators reserve the right to kick or ban you from the Euro Truck Simulator 2 Multiplayer servers at any point if they deem your behaviour unsafe to yourself or other network users. We ask that if you are banned that you create a ban appeal and not private message any member of the staff team.

  338. A: We have attemped to develop this mod in the past, but personal problems and programming problems didn't help it. So we had to cancel it. We weren't to happy about that, because we had a lot of fans.

  363. A: Yes. Upgrading trucks will be just like in singeplayer mode. You will start with the most basic truck, and you have to earn your upgrades. The truck will have the skin of the company you work for.

  366. A: We have plans for 1000 people.

  368. Q: Will there be something that we can talk in-game?

  385. Troubleshooting Guide
  386. I was banned? If you received a permanent network ban, this will last for the entire Open Alpha testing, the ban database will most likely be cleared after this testing period.

  388. My game doesn't launch This could be caused by multiple things. Firstly you should try to relaunch the game. If it still doesn't launch try and reinstall the multiplayer client, you could also try and restart your steam client. If this problem persists, please write your question to this tutorial.

  390. Will there be any updates? Most likely during the open alpha there will be no updates, however if there is a big bug discovered that may cause a wide scale error patches may be issued.

  392. Do I need to run singleplayer?Not at all, you will need to press on the "Play ETS2MP" application either found on your desktop or the installation folder for the multiplayer client, this will launch your game.

  447. Hi, i bought the game. And i hoped that i can play etsmp . But i cant. What ever i do, that going to say " Euro truck simulator 2 - steam has stopped working " . I dont have any mods , i delete all my users and start everythng new and its still saying it . I dont understand, i have all good, with the game. I can play single player well. It work. But when i wanna start multiplayer, then game loading and if the line going to end then screen going black and then come the window " Euro truck simulator 2 - steam has stopped working " . 2days i try to solved it but i dont have any ideasanymore. I have windows 8.1 . Please, someone help me. I dont know what to do .
