  1. Welcome to ESL Australia.
  2.
  3. Today we are happy to announce, in conjunction with the launch of ESL Australia, a new future for Counter-Strike in the Australian community.
  4.
  5. Over the next few days we'll be announcing information on the competitions we'll be running and details about what ESL plans to do for you, the community. Right now though we'll be announcing the administration panel that will be in charge of everything CS:GO at ESL Australia.
  6.
  7. For the moment we have recruited five administrators to help oversee any and all CS:GO operations. Please welcome the following:
  8.
  9. Jake “Rocky” Ward
  10. Tom “Silent”
  11. Stuart “TotalEclipse” Slater
  12. Liam “HYPER” Miller
  13. Stephen “f0oster” Mills
  14.
  15. At the moment no specific roles have been assigned, but this is the start of ESL's CS:GO administration team.
  16.
  17. Below you will find we've drawn up some questions for some of the administrators, and they have gladly taken their time to answer them.
  18.
  19. Liam “Hyper” Miller, how do you feel about such a prestigious company like the ESL expanding to Australia, and how do you think it will affect the current E-Sports industry within Australia?
  20.
  21. Having ESL come and work with Australia is probably the best news I have ever heard in terms of E-Sports. I am extremely excited to start working on the up-coming seasons and hope Australia E-Sports is bigger than ever in the near future.
  22.
  23. I am hoping ESL will do wonders for Australia in terms of the current E-Sports industry. I would love to see Australia become recognised from all around the world and wish that we can have teams compete in the major tournaments for any game internationally. I think ESL will bring the competitiveness back in terms of the Counter-Strike series, with CS:GO releasing in less than a week, I would be a happy man if I saw a majority of the teams making the switch, or even before the release date (which I have seen) to prepare themselves for a new era of Counter-Strike.
  24.
  25. Tom “Silent” with the launch of ESL and the upcoming release of CS:GO, how do you see coverage of E-Sports changing in Australia?
  26.
  27. Firstly Stu, I'd like to say that I'm super excited for both the release of GO and the launch of ESL. I see both of these developments as a much needed fresh start for competitive E-Sports (especially within the CS franchise) and think that there's a great deal that can be made of this opportunity.
  28.
  29. I personally will be involved in the coverage of CS:GO and look forward to seeing the game take off in Australia. The potential to tap into new audiences and take gaming to communities who haven't been exposed to our E-Sports world is awesome and I hope to be able to share my passion with everyone.
  30.
  31. Look out for shoutcasts, regular interviews with the best players and organisations, competition predictions and results and plenty more. I would also emplore anyone interested in submitting content of their own to get in contact with me as I'm always looking for keen marines who want and opportunity to cover the sport they love.
  32.
  33. Stephen “f0oster” Mills, with the arrival of the ESL and current hype surrounding CS:GO. Do you see ESL's Wire Anti-Cheat making a significant impact on the attitude of the overall Counter-Strike scene here in Australia?
  34.
  35. Personally, I'm very glad to see that the Australian scene will be graced with ESL's Wire Anti-Cheat technology. One of the lifelong concerns in the Australian scene has always been the publics lack of confidence and trust shown towards the anti-cheat systems put into use. Because of this doubt, I believe that the Wire is exactly what our scene needs. A powerful anti-cheat tool that ensures our leagues will always be as fair as possible.
  36.
  37. As an Administration team at ESL Australia, we're very excited to announce our confidence in the ESL Wire Anti-Cheat system and we firmly believe it is one of the more effective Anti-Cheats being used in professional and competitive E-Sports. With a strong international reputation and its sophisticated foundation, there's no doubt that the ESL Wire client will help to even further level out the playing field in our online tournaments.
  38.
  39. So that concludes the introduction of both ESL Australia's brand new admin team, and some information on the future of Counter-Strike within Australia.
  40.
  41. Thanks for reading,
  42.
