Growing Up

It's so upsetting to think about how normies equate growing up to going back on everything you believe in, throwing away your entire personality for the sake of work ethics, and giving up every passion and hobby you ever had. I don't understand how somebody could just be ok with sacrificing all of this just to be wealthier than others. What does it matter if you won't be able to enjoy any of the money that you have?
