Game story affected by difficulty

Easy, easier to recruit everyone on your team

Hard, more factions form

I have an idea for an RPG

It's a Japanese high school, but there are factions in the school where everyone is at war with each other.

The gameplay and story is totally dependent on the difficulty setting.
On easy mode, it is easier to recruit members into your group and there are less  factions.

On hard mode, it'll be harder to convince people to join your group, and they'll be more factions to fight against

I haven't come up with why everyone is fighting each other but I think this is a really good setting
