TL;DR - Purlek's usage of server funds for personal gain is illegal and a waste of everyone's time.

Hello everyone, let me preface this by saying what has just happened. I have removed editing and deletion features for several of the users on the forum in the interest of keeping the thread up.

The first thing I want to express is an apology for the way this is going to happen. I don't know ultimately the results of this decision. I'm doing this because I have run out of the willpower to support our host.

I was asked to work on a spreadsheet of donations and expenditures back when I first became a server/web tech. The first thing I found out - BestRP pulls in an enormous amount of money in donations. The second thing I found out - a huge portion of the money was being spent by Purlek. From January 1st to June 2nd, the community donated $2207.07 (+/- ~$150.00). During this time, $1500.00 (+/- $150.00) was spent by Purlek. The majority of the money went to two places: Personal Bank Account and Valve/Steam. There are tons of smaller charges for humble bundles, music album purchases, and subscriptions to games and web services such as World of Warcraft, Spotify, BYOND.

The next major concern is the usage of funds to buy Shell Booter access for DDOSing servers and people. At one point, Purlek was rather proud that he managed to get one of the servers to change their title from 100% LAGFREE! to 99% LAGFREE! Of course, his method was basically to shoot very tiny high wave bursts to make it feel like the server was stuttering rather than being completely wiped out. He's also DDOS attacked various players some related to SS13 and some unrelated.

Whenever I've spoken to him about activities, he's promised to stop. I never received more Paypal PDFs after June/July so I couldn't continue to track his spending. However, we recently met this past month to discuss expenses. Currently we're at about $75/month on server costs, but the total monthly expenses are around $140. This is only what he's told me, so I cannot personally confirm it.

In the last couple months we had a night where Purlek's girlfriend, Wolfiri, became a moderator on r/ss13. Immediately the server was turned off and Purlek stated that he was not turning it back on. He refused to hand it to either EmmanuelBasil or myself because it was his and he's not sharing. After a lot of deliberation, we managed to convince him to turn it back on.
Of course, I took extensive backups immediately after the server shut down, just in case he wasn't going to turn it on again.

I have waited so long to come forward with the information for two reasons. The first was that I originally believed him when he said he'd put at stop to all of this. Second is that EmmanuelBasil asked me not to make a rash decision or blow the lid on the server.

I have now looked through our expenses from July 1st to October 6th and have the PDF attached below.
Of around $1100 from July 1st to October 6th, roughly $475 was spent on personal expenses.
