  1. Read Suicide Notes
  2.
  3. Read suicide notes.
  4.
  5. (names, hobbies, food liked, humanization)
  6.
  7. Read out the name of the dead. Their hobbies. Their favourite food. Their favourite movies, games,
  8. animes, cartoons, music genres, etc. etc.. Make them seem human, because they were, before they
  9. died. Make it clear that what's loss in debating about living people as if they are some abstract
  10. topic, is lives. Tell them about their friends, about their families; about how they feel about them
  11. before and after transition; about how they feel about them while they were alive, and how they feel
  12. now without them. Make it clear that the next dead person could be anyone's friend or family member.
  13. Make it clear that the next person could be anyone. Make it clear that trans people dying means
  14. people dying just because they are trans.
  15.
  16. ...
  17.
  18. Read suicide notes.
  19.
  20. (read during bills, read during unjustified debates, etc.)
  21.
  22. Read them during bill proposals and votings. Make the weight of the decision felt. Make it
  23. undeniable that what is being proposed can harm people. Read stats along with the notes. Read them
  24. during unjustified debates on nasty talk shows and stacked conversations. Make it clear what, or
  25. rather who, is, or rather was, being talked about. Keep going if interrupted. Keep reading sternly
  26. if shouted over. Push through.
  27.
  28. ...
  29.
  30. Read suicide notes.
  31.
  32. (only present legitimate stories; don't delve into uncertain ones)
  33.
  34. Make sure that all stories are legitimate. Check with friends, families, doctors, therapists, and
  35. journalists. A battle of emotional fabrication would be a losing one in a land with hostile media
  36. and megaphones. Make sure that no doubt can be cast about the dead, and have rebukes for defamation
  37. ready to easily pass to those unsure.
  38.
  39. ...
  40.
  41. Read suicide notes.
  42.
  43. (stories to tell, when low on suicide notes, or when the current situation does not warrant it
  44. ... but most things affecting trans people right now do warrant it.)
  45.
  46. Sometimes, it is too drastic to bring up suicidality. Go by relevance and proportionality. Ask: why
  47. did they die? If it is relevant to the bill or debate, then put the weight of their sins upon their
  48. shoulders. Otherwise, some nicer success stories, along with stats, about e.g. the efficacies of
  49. medicine would be fine, as well. Tell simple stories about people just living their lives, having
  50. their days. Bring cis women and have them calm cis men by talking about their trans friends. Bring
  51. cis women and have them shame cis men who white knight over them by hurting others. Have employers
  52. talk about their employees who are trans. Have sergeants talk about their soldiers who are trans.
  53. Have people talk about their friends, neighbors, coworkers, lovers, children, parents who are
  54. trans. Have them talk about the things they enjoy doing together, the troubles they went through
  55. together, the beliefs they share with each other, and the dreams they hope upon each other.
  56.
  57. ...
  58.
  59. Read suicide notes.
  60.
  61. (where to source notes, and other stories.)
  62.
  63. There are many, but it is probably harder to find verifiable ones. It may not be a good idea to post
  64. a form online, since trolls may use it to post false information and spread doubt. It would be best
  65. to find people who know others who are, or were, trans. Ask them, and then ask them for others who
  66. might know. Once trust is built, ask people to spread awareness and direct those with stories to
  67. you, so that you may share these stories. Along with this, ask trustworthy journalists, medical
  68. professionals, and organizations. Ask them to do the same.
  69.
  70. ...
  71.
  72. Read suicide notes.
  73.
  74. (relevance, e.g. to bill, to topic. Make defamer feel the weight of responsibility)
  75.
  76. Each word of defamation should be met with its consequence. Each bill proposed should be met with
  77. its natural conclusion. Make them feel the weight of responsibility. Make it clear to everyone what
  78. is happening, and what will happen. Make it clear who allows it to happen, and who is pushing for it
  79. to happen. Make it undeniable. Bring up statistics. Explain the methodologies used to conduct the
  80. studies, as well as the reputation and trustworthiness of the sources. Draw comparisons to
  81. historical events, and bills in the past. Mention how bills targeting autonomy results in reliance
  82. upon illegal avenues, which harms more people. Bring up abortion bans.
  83. Mention how treatment that shirk science has hurt people in the past. Bring people who have been
  84. harmed by conversion therapy, and have them share their experiences. Bring the friends and families
  85. of people who died after conversion therapy, and have them share their experiences.
  86. Bring up statistics.
  87.
  88. ...
  89.
  90. Read suicide notes.
  91.
  92. (contact your senators, tell them to do this. Some should send the entire thing,
  93. some should send only the simplified instruction snippets.)
  94.
  95. Contact your senators. Tell them to read suicide notes. Send them this, as a pamphlet, as a paper,
  96. as a brochure, or as anything else. Contact your debaters. Send them this, as an e-mail, as a
  97. message on discord, or as anything else. Help them help. Hold them up to standards. Some may not be
  98. able to live to it, but have them try. If they are unwilling to read through the entire thing, then
  99. send them a summarized version. Summarized instructions are given below. A more detailed version is
  100. given below that.
  101.
  102. ...
  103.
  104. Read suicide notes.
  105.

  108. 1. Acquire notes and stories from trustworthy sources.
  109. 2. Read notes, highlighting individual's favorite hobbies, shows, games, food, etc.
  110. 3. Bring up relevant stats.
  111. 4. Bring up effect of old, similar laws targeting other minorities.
  112. 5. Assure everyone that we fight for the rights of people, including people who are trans.
  113.
  114. ...
  115.
  116. Read suicide notes.
  117.
  118. (more complex instructions)
  119.

  121. medical or mental health organizations.
  122. 2. Prepare notes and stories expected to be relevant to bill/debate coming up.
  123. 3. Read the notes, highlighting the humanity of the individual, mentioning their favorite hobbies,
  124. shows, games, food, etc.
  125. 4. Keep reading even if you're being talked over or interrupted. Keep on reading.
  126. 5. Bring up relevant stats, highlighting its origin from a trustworthy institution and sources.
  127. 6. Mention how these laws mirror historical ones, and the harms caused by those.
  128. 7. Assure everyone that we fight for the rights of people, including people who are trans.
