- >BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
- >The sound of your alarm clock jars you awake
- >You groggily twist in your bed and glance over at the time
- "Ah, shit.."
- >It looks like you're going to be late.
- >You scramble out of bed to get ready for school, quickly changing into your warmest clothes and scarfing down some cereal before grabbing your favorite winter coat and heading out the door
- >Once you step outside into the brisk air, you have to stop and just admire things for a bit
- >The way the morning sun gleams off the gentle snowfall. The light winter breeze that sends shivers down your spine. The crunch of your boots in the snow.
- >It's perfect.
- >Out of the corner of your eye, you see your dear childhood friend waving at you
- >She's standing outside her house with a somewhat pouty expression on
- >You've made plans with her to go walking today, since winter finally rolled in.
- >You cross the street to stand beside her, the whistling of the wind and the crunch of your boots being the only sounds heard
- >Sayori crosses her arms in an attempt to look angry
- >But she really just looks adorable when she's mad.
- >"I've been waiting out here in the cold for ten minutes, y'know!"
- "Sorry.." you say
- >"Meanie.."
- >"I actually got up on time today to walk with you and everything.."
- >You bring a hand up to scratch the back of your head apologetically
- >She's right. It's not often that she gets up in time to walk to school with you, let alone in time on a weekend to take a morning stroll with you.
- >You open your mouth to say something when Sayori interrupts
- >"..But I'm glad that you're here now, Anon~."
- >You smile.
- >Sayori was always the best at being cute, even when she didn't mean to
- >It's then that you notice something off about her
- "Wait a minute, aren't you cold?"
- >She's shivering.
- >"E-Eh?" she asks
- >She's wearing a sweater with the sleeves disconnected at the elbows, her school uniform skirt with black leggings under it, and a pretty plaid scarf to go along
- >It looks nice, but not terribly warm.
- >Sayori blushes and puts her pointer fingers together in her iconic nervous pose
- >"W-well, I thought you'd like it~.. and.."
- >Without another word you take off your coat and slip it onto her
- >It's too big for her, but it should keep her warm.
- >Her blush deepens and she makes a feeble attempt to protest
- >"Anon, no, I don't deserve this-"
- "I do like it." you interrupt.
- "But I like you better when you're not freezing, Sayori."
- >"B-but won't you be cold now?"
- "I'm not worried about me right now. I'll manage."
- >A small smile takes form on her reddened face
- >Suddenly she jumps at you in a hug, wrapping her arms around you
- >You're caught off guard at first, but you give her a hug back after a few moments
- >The two of you stay locked in eachothers embraces for what seems like a blissful eternity when Sayori abrubtly pushes herself away from you
- >It doesn't look like her blush can get any deeper
- >"I-I'm sorry, I shouldn't have.." she says while looking at the ground
- "Hey," you say. "It's fine.
- >She looks up at you, little tears beggining to form in her eyes
- >"A-Are you sure..?"
- "Yeah. C'mon, let's get going."
- >You and Sayori head out in the snow, walking side by side
- >Maybe you'll take her to the park today. Or to visit her favorite coffee shop.
- >You just want to make her happy.
- >Your thoughts are interrupted by Sayori tugging on your sleeve
- "Hm?"
- >"C-Can I hold your hand?" she asks sheepishly.
- >"I kinda forgot my gloves.."
- >You wordlessly take hold of her hand, letting yours warm hers up
- >You walk hand in hand with Sayori in a peaceful silence for a while before she speaks up again
- >"Anon?"
- "Yeah?"
- >She looks at you with a happy sparkle in her eyes
- >"I love you, Anon."
- "..."
- "I love you too, Sayori."
