- Description: The trio were looking to “take a life”, when they spotted Christine outside her home smoking a cigarette. “She’s the one” Cates declared, as he pulled his SUV up to her home and asked to borrow a lighter. After Cates handed Christine her lighter back, she began to walk away. Boney then handed Cates a .45-caliber pistol, which he fired at Christine, striking her in the back 5 times.
