[19:49] Skoll's golden eyes lock on Yuri as he sees him passing by. "... You." Skoll speaks with distain, hand reaching towards the spear behind his back. "You were there when Veronica was taken away... Either you'll come peacefully with me? Or I'll bring you in by force."

[19:51] Yuri's motions did not seem to stop much, especially not when the threat of being brought in by force was made. A few words slipped from his lips as he picked up some speed.

"She's already free, I've got other things to take care of!"

An excuse certainly, but one made with an attempt at a swift escape.

[19:54] Skoll manages to catch up to Yuri, stepping in front of him with his spear raised.

"... Last chance. You are coming with me whether it is through peaceful, or forceful means."

[19:55] With his way out cut off, the young man found himself force to draw his blade. His left hand reached up to his shoulder, grasping upon the massive weapon before a shake of his head is given.

"I can't fail here. I'm sorry."

Ethereal wisps that beckon the spirit realm itself are brought to life, swirling and twisting about his frame as he draws from this other plane directly - from magi long gone. His grip tightens. He's ready. More than ever.

[20:00] With Yuri resisting, Skoll finds himself having no choice but to use force in order to bring him in. The man's eyes flash with a bright, pale blue color, giving him a sight into the spiritual, causing him to notice the power Yuri called forth from another plane.

A question for another time. Now? He has to bring in Yuri to question about Veronica's whereabouts. With a quick swing of his spear, he'll give himself a shallow cut on the back of his arm, and blood starts floating up, swirling around him... And his spear's edge, hardening to give his spear a longer reach.

"I can't fail, too."

[20:11] {Won Dangerous RPB against Skoll Beo}
[20:19] A flurry of blows were exchanged in-between the both of them. Between the sight of blood flying in his direction and his blade creating sparks when it clashed with his spear the young man found himself more pressed than he thought was possible. This wasn't an easy opponent. Why did he have to go out there all on his own?

He should've listened. He should've kept his word.

He felt as if his back was pressed against a wall as more and more blood dripped from his person. His body was weary, his mind filled with the reminder of what failure could bring. Death. Death was what they had said. No matter how good of a person he may have been.

Blood came rushing his way in the form of a rather violent, tangible beam. It crashed right against his frame, leading to his circuits being overloaded with mana, burning more and more and more. The blue shroud surrounding him roared in all of its azure glory, leadinghim to leap through the attack, cleaving down Skoll as he finally reached him and forcing him down to the ground.

Breaths, heavy, yet he stood victorious above the spiritually-aware man. A hand reached down to him, gripping him by his collar to lift him up. Energies simmered.

"I.. told you- You shouldn't have gotten in my way. Now I don't have a choice."

He hauled him up.

[20:24] Skoll gave it his all in this battle, channeling everyone he got to try and bring Yuri down. A close fight indeed, but one that would eventually prove to be the man's downfall.

As Skoll poured most of his blood into a condensed beam, what he did not expect was Yuri charging through it, and still having enough momentum to bring his heavy sword down on Skoll, making Yuri the victor of this bout!

Too injured to keep on fighting, Skoll plummets down while spitting out his own blood, hand barely having enough strength to keep holding on to his spear. The glow in his eyes vanish, returning to his normal golden eyes.

As he gets lifted by Yuri, there is but only one response, uttered within groaned breaths.

"There is... Always, a choice."

[20:25] Yuri says, "I choose to be happy."
[20:25] Skoll Beo asks, "... With the demons?"
[20:25] Yuri says, "With the one I love."
[20:25] Yuri says, "I despise the demons."
[20:27] "I ain't gotta clue how to respond to that, because if you got even stronger, then that just means I can't. Those kids are gone, so the things I fear most for aren't around anymore. No need for me to be here any longer."

Cless knew his own capabilities, and knew he wouldn't be able to stop someone as powerful as Blaidd was, especially because he looked much more competent than he did compared to their first encounter.

Even with him aging and becoming stronger, this one was superior in almost every way.

"Would probably fall."

[20:28] Tyranny smiles.

"Then save your strength for when I fall upon Myllenoris. You have a year left."

He was already going to leave, and he really had no desire to simply beat his strength into someone while his mercy still goes. They had a year, he would not break his own code.

He only fought when others came to him.

[20:29] On his way back from the hunt Yuri came across a battle that was boiling up, though the most important part of the event was neither the battle, nor the fact Cless was in danger, but rather Jianyu observing on the side. Hauling a semi-conscious Skoll on his shoulder the Radiant moved up near the fortune-teller.

"I lied. I didn't stick around. I... got you a gift, instead."

A smile is given their way.

[20:30] He's the same as always.

And he doesn't seem to notice them. Jianyu still felt in some sort of trance, like they witnessed the passage of years and their childhood upon seeing the Durages after all this time.

Did he miss them?

Of course he didn't.

But even knowing that, they turn east. "Do play nice with him, Tyranny." Of all the deaths wished, Cless wasn't one of them.

As they began their departure, the appearance of Yuri with a man over his shoulder stopped them.

A gift.

"Oh." Jianyu turned- A familiar man, beaten by the Radiant. "Hmmm. What to do with him? I wonder if he has any worth to Myllenoris. Come along."

Once more, east.

"Cless, dear." They glance back to the Knight, their'best friend'. "If they want this man alive, tell them to deliver five-thousand coin to me."

Off they go with Yuri and Skoll.

[20:34] It seems he was let off the hook for now. Within his vision, however, had been someone he hadn't seen in quite some time. Jianyu, someone he viewed as his own very best friend, and someone he knew so much about.

Yet, their time apart more than likely left that friendship frozen in time. Cless didn't know what Jianyu had been up to, but seeing as they were with Yuri, who had an unconscious Skoll with them, he could tell what was happening.

"You really fell this low, Jianyu... Askin' for money for someone's life."

A sigh escaped his lips. Who knew that he shouldn't have trusted Jianyu all those years ago? It wasn't as if he despised them for acting like this, but he disliked the fact that Jianyu succumbed to their own hatred of Drakanites and fell down the wrong path.

"Looks like I couldn't save you. Sorry for breakin' my promise. "

[20:37] Jianyu kept walking, they had no intention on a confrontation with Cless. Even when like this, when viewing the life and journey of another as nothing more than coin and gain, they do leave him with some words.

"You're still my best friend." Though spoken with a grin slight and sly. If not pursued, they were goin with the Radiant and a man who could only be labeled as a...

[20:38] Jianyu Xi asks, "**gone???"
[20:40] "Am I? I think the same of you, Jianyu. I just wish you ain't walk down the wrong path. "

Yuri was amongst them as well, which was something peculiar to see. Someone who was as nervous as Yuri and stuttered all the time ended up becoming like that too? A 'gift'? Was Skoll's life viewed so little that they treated him as if he was a play thing, a life that they could just cast aside like nothing?

"I dunno if I can just let either of you go, though, especially when you're draggin' an unconscious Skoll..."

This wasn't a question. Why was he so hesitant to do anything in this predicament? Was it because of his own past with Jianyu, and how close they have been for most of Cless' own life? He cared little for his own life, as long as it was 'thrown away' saving someone else's, yet this was different.

"Tch..."

[20:40] Yuri says, "..."
[20:40] Yuri says, "I'm the one dragging him."
[20:41] Cless Durages says, "Yep, but you're bringin' him somewhere... Alongside Jianyu... Same thing, you know what I'm sayin'."
[20:41] Cless Durages asks, "How'd you forget I ain't as smart as either of you?"
[20:41] Jianyu hums as they walk.

[20:43] Skoll barely manages to retain at least some form of consciousness, still having awareness as to what is going on. Enough to notice Cless ready to fight and risk his own life for his own mistakes.

Through groaned breaths, Skoll tries to speak to Cless, finding it too difficult to raise his head to meet him eye to eye:

"... Run..."

[20:44] Actually-

Jianyu stopped in their tracks. An idea arose. They didn't want to babysit some grown man, make sure he was fed and had water. No.

Instead, they turn to Cless, arms outstretched.

"Come here," Strange. Icy hues locked with his own. "Come give me a hug and I'll let him go."

Are they lying?

Lips gently curl as they spare a glance to Yuri, brief yet commanding in a way.

It returns to Cless.

[20:44] Jianyu Xi says in telepathy, Strip him of his vaulables. Everything.
[20:44] Yuri says, "..."
[20:46] Yuri seems to understand an unspoken message from that glance alone, and nods. While he may have found himself jealous over Jianyu's proposition it was clear that there was something else at play here. He wasn't going to meddle in all of that - no. He trusted them. He had to.

They knew how much he feared everything else.

Skoll was soon lifted up from Yuri's shoulder and brought to lay on the ground, and before Cless could realize what was happening the spiritually-attuned man was being stripped of his valuables. His belongings. His equipment. His weapon.

Anything that had value, really.

Perhaps Jianyu expected the world not to pay for this man.

[20:50] A simple price to pay. In fact, it wasn't a price at all to someone like Cless, especially when he still valued his friendship with Jianyu. His silver optics still having that same unwavering trust in his friend that he had for his entire life - as if his very life could be trusted in the hands of Jianyu.

"That's it? Alright. "

Honesty was the best policy. Why hide behind lies? Nobody would hide behind lies in this world, especially someone who he had such faith and trust in, that being Jianyu. His weapon would temporarily be casted aside, to show how little hostility he wished to exert towards his Shengese friend.

Closer and closer. The distance between the two of them closed, and his arms lifted up. Being much taller than Jianyu, standing at 6'2, he'd wrap his arms around Jianyu, bringing them in for an embrace, not paying attention to what else could occur from this.

[20:51] A moment of hesitation came when Yuri looked upon a certain amulet. Perhaps... perhaps this one could be excluded. This one felt like a memory more than valuable in terms of coins. The wolf-shaped memento was returned to the blood magi.

[20:54] "Mhm."

In exchange for this man's life- A simple hug between childhood friends. He was the first of people, one who took abuse after abuse until he weaved his way into their heart all those years ago.

Arms remain outstretched, Cless drew closer. It made his weight ever apparent to them now. The years did justice to him. Memories flash of a chubby boy who wanted to help.

He's the same, just taller, a staggering foot taller.

Their head cants up when arms wrapped around their petite frame. Thin arms move to wrap around him, head resting at the Knight's chest.

Was he blind to the robbery that occurred? Jianyu hummed quietly, eyes resting as though nothing else was present. Like it's years in the past and the two were still within a now abandoned city.

Dainty hands slid down his back before they pulled away, price paid.

"Take him and leave."

[21:00] The warmth Cless felt was no different from the past. When Jianyu's arm slid away, the Shengese was able to converse with the Durages without having words depart from their lips.

What was it that echoed in his mind? Maybe it was just his own imagination, so it was pretty easily dismissed. It was just a few words that sounded similar to what he was told in the past.

"Yeah, I did Jianyu. Just wish you weren't like this, you know what I'm sayin'? Can't change it, though. I know I can't. "

Frustration was lucid in his expressions. Now kneeling to grab his sword, he sheathed it once more, before rising to his feet yet again. A very thin smile was seen on his countenance, but even when approaching Skoll, he looked hurt in some way.

Two people he trusted in, switching sides at a moment's notice. A sad day, wasn't it?

The eldest Durages boy once again fell to one knee on the ground, lifting up the body of Skoll, throwing him over his shoulder. It looked like there was nothing else to say to either of them, but he didn't leave without saying one last thing, even if it wasn't relevant.

"See you around, Jianyu."

[21:02] Yuri let Skoll to be taken care of by Cless while he moved to stand at Jianyu's side. Emotions stiffled. His words did come forth, however, perhaps giving a bit of clarity to some people.

"Tell your sister I couldn't lie to myself anymore."

That I wanted to be happy.

Those thoughts had already been given out.
