TURBULENCE

One of the NSA's most complex surveilence program is TURBULENCE. Turbulence is a huge world wide metadata collection and analysis architecture used by the NSA, CIA, any any other intelligence agency that are in the five eye alliance. it uses many frameworks sch as QUANTUM and xkeyscore and tons of other tools. We the omerta will attempt to document these tools and thoroughly explain how they work to the best of our ability.

TURBULANCE has multiple systems it uses in order to function as the worlds largest metadata collection and analysis system.

    turmoil passive collection (prism etc)
    turbine - actice collection of communications(QUANTUM)
    tutelage - active defense
    tumelt - was mentioned in an NSA quantum slide but purpose is unclear

turmoil

turmoil is turbulences passive collection system using prism and other collection systems
the NSA collects from a variety of sources. one of these sources is rampart which the NSAs SSO claims to collect 3tb per second of data through fibre optic cables
there appear to many different rampart systems and at least 1 per country for example:

    rampart-a appears to be a general fibre optic cable data collectioon system
    rampart-m is for access to undersea cables
    rampart-t is for collection from land based cables and is also used in cooperation with the CIA
