  1. "Are you sure about this?" Drifting Flowers on the Breeze asks. Gardenia wants to laugh. The idea that a lunar could be so full of fear. She truly is too young for the Lotus.
  2.
  3. Gardenia closes her eyes and nods, lacing her hands behind her head before opening her eyes once more. She hardly looks like a servant anymore. A daring rogue, free and unfettered. "I am."
  4.
  5. "How will I know it's the time?" Breeze asks, the young changing moon nervously wringing her hands in her short rag like dress.
  6.
  7. Gardenia places both hands on her shoulders and offers a gentle smile. "When I remember her, and when I remember Starlight, when I have lost my faith, show me."
  8.
  9. Breeze opens her mouth, and then closes it, she opens it once more, and her lower lip is quivering. Her smooth and beautiful features are smudged with dirt, tears gather at the edge of her eyes. "And what if I don't make it!? It could be months, years even."
  10.
  11. "More like centuries." Gardenia says with a sigh, before looking into Breeze's eyes. "But I know you can do it. I have an eye for growth after all."
  12.
  13. The sylvari winks, and the lunar dries her eyes. She pushes her shoulders back and smacks her cheeks with both hands before shaking her head. "We will meet again."
  14.
  15. Gardenia lets go and gives an honest laugh. Laughing in the face of the Maidens, the Sun, The Moon, and all that she knows will stand in her way. "Whatever it takes."
