Kingdom Hearts: Rewrite

Rules:
	- Must include all worlds/characters from said games
	- No new worlds/charcaters

Kingdom Hearts 1:

Overall, the majority of the elements stay the same in this game, except for more Disney focus and inclusion of the characters into the story, as well as foreshadowing/establishing upon future games.

Dive into the Heart:

Sora takes the plunge, and lands on those nifty stain-glass levels, but instead of choosing a weapon, it’s going to reference Ven, Terra, and Aqua’s armor SINCE VEN’S HEART IS IN HIS BODY (this is gonna be real important). Sora picks Ven’s stuff, fights the heartless, and wakes up.

Destiny Islands:

Basically the same, more friendship stuff, maybe make Kairi into a better character, possibly reference BBS trio like “We gotta go out to other worlds, just like those guys back then…” as a better reason to leave the island. But then Heartless show up and mess up everything. BUT, Ansem shows up, AND DOES NOT WAIT THERE FOR 60 SOMETHING YEARS, because he’s ultimately drawn to the darkness lingering in Riku’s/Sora’s Hearts (i.e. Terra and VANITAS, respectively). Basically Ansem is leading the Heartless to worlds to ensure they nab the Princesses, and cause he really likes Darkness. But being bound to the Realm of Darkness, he latches onto Riku and starts to possess him to free himself.

Disney Castle:

Literally the same, maybe have Mickey allude to more of the BBS shenanigans.

Traverse Town:

So Traverse Town has more Disney characters around, specifically from worlds home to the Princesses of Heart, cause there’s never enough reason to include more of those, like the summons, you can interact and talk with them.

FF dudes have been working with various Disney characters to repel Heartless from their world, as well as try and figure out how to stop them, Merlin and others have been trying to reconnect to other worlds to search for “the great master” (Yen Sid) for help, but with no luck.

Cutscene of Villains still radical, possible reference to Pete being absent still recruiting other villains to cause.

Wonderland:

Sora and gang rescue Alice from some Heartless, while the Cheshire Cat warns them of more on the way. They’re captured by The Queen of Hearts, who demands to know why so many Heartless are appearing in their world. They try to explain, but Alice is snatched up by Trickmaster. Sora defeats the Heartless boss, but Alice is nowhere to be found. Cheshire Cat sneaks along with Sora on the Gummi ship.

Deep Jungle:

Before landing, The Cheshire Cat appears and spooks the gang, causing them to crash-land. Sora gets stuck with The Cheshire Cat, who disappears when Sabor attacks. Tarzan pops in and helps out. They ask Tarzan for help, but just end up following him. Go to camp and meet Jane and Clayton with Donald and Goofy. Clayton sees the Keyblade and flashback to villains (or Pete) trying to recruit him if he sees it. During another Sabor attack, Clayton kidnaps Gorillas to lure out Sora, Clayton is defeated, and Tarzan deicides to tag along with Sora in order to protect his world, and see other humans.

Traverse Town (2nd):

So Sora returns to Traverse Town with Tarzan, and explains to Leon about the keyholes. They try and look for it, but the Heartless show up and continue to cause havoc. Sora defeats the Opposite Armor and seals the Keyhole.

Olympus Colosseum:

Hades summons several fighters in order to defeat Sora and gang, including Cloud (and maybe some other FF or Disney Characters who haven’t shown up before, but could be a one time thing here). Group meets Hercules, and enter tournament when Hades captures Donald and Goofy, saying they’ll have to win to get them back, or else. Sora wins after fighting against Hercules, but Hades summons Cerberus and flees, with the heroes in hot pursuit.

Agrabah:

Maleficent talks with Jafar about their plans, Hades shows up and explains how the heroes beat him, Jasmine overhears, but The Cheshire Cat pops up and helps her escape.

Sora and co., along with Hercules, meet Aladdin, but are surrounded by Heartless, summons Genie, saves day. Jafar pops up and kidnaps Jasmine and takes lamp. Cheshire Cat’s mouth appears and says to follow him to get to Jasmine.

So after Jafar is defeated, Aladdin frees Genie, and comments that he wants to go save Jasmine. Donald says no, but Sora is like, “no man, who are we to deny someone trying to help their friends.” But suggests they go Traverse Town instead, and meet up with Leon and Merlin.

Traverse Town (3rd):

Returning to Traverse Town for general supplies and dropping off other heroes.

HalloweenTown:

So I’m switching things up a bit and putting this one earlier FOR GOOD REASON, later on. But this plays out the same too, and Sora mentions they should head to Traverse Town if they ever need any help.

Atlantica:

Basically the same, BUT, instead of leaving the world, Monstro shows up and swallows Sora, Donald, Goofy, AND Ariel, and leaves for the next world. King Triton freaks out and uses his trident to reach out to Traverse Town.

Monstro:

So, now, the 4 are stuck inside Monstro, where they meet Pinocchio and Geppetto. Ariel helps out Sora and the others through various parts of Monstro (such as diving in water and stuff). Riku can still show up, thinking that Ariel is a Princess of Heart, and trying to capture Pinocchio. They defeat the Heartless inside Monstro, but Captain Hook attacks and captures Sora and the others.

Neverland:

On Hook’s ship, Sora and gang are locked away by Hook, who’s taking them to Hollow Bastion, but Peter Pan shows up to rescue Wendy, and frees the others. Geppetto and Pinocchio fight off Mr. Smee in a funny battle, and the others fight Hook. Just as Hook has them cornered, King Triton arrives with help from the other Disney Characters in Sora’s Gummi Ship, and fends him off. Riku escapes to Hallow Bastion.

Also a nice little scene of Ariel being able to see the human world and fly around, cause she deserves it.

Traverse Town (4th):

With everyone back in Traverse Town, Sora tells Leon about what has happened so far. The other Disney characters help the FF characters with plans to prepare to take back Hollow Bastion. Sora, Donald, and Goofy elect to go first to save Kairi and Riku.

Hallow Bastion:

Basically the same, up until Sora frees Kairi’s heart. Now since this a HUGE critical moment in the series that basically creates a bunch of other characters, here’s how it’s going down.

SO, Roxas and Naminé are created when Sora stabs himself, BUT he also releases Vanitas, (who will be at Castle Oblivion since that’s where Ven’s body is, but he won’t be able to get to it).

Kairi wakes up, tries to save Riku, but Ansem takes over his body and watches the Heartless pour in. Cheshire Cat frees the other Princesses and they escape in time, with Beast holding the Heartless back as they flee.

So, Sora instead remains a Heartless for some time (instead of fighting Shadow Sora in Neverland, also bears some traits to Vanitas). Now apparently there’s a Heartless Manufacturer that actually creates Emblem Heartless, so Sora goes to shut the Manufacturer off, saving Beast in the process. Sora starts seeing Ven’s memories flash before him, as well as Roxas and Naminé being tinkered with, since they all share hearts and bodies.

Leon brings the others to the outskirts of Hollow Bastion, where they meet up with Kairi and The Princesses of Heart, who sense the growing darkness rising in Hollow Bastion, and begin to despair at the loss of Sora. But Kairi (actually doing something) inspires the others to gear up and fight their way back to Hollow Bastion, and Kairi awakens the Keyblade (thanks in part to Aqua’s magic, but also to Sora freeing her heart, THUS allowing her to share).

So Sora and Beast destroy the Heartless machine, with Sora slowly starting to regain his form. The others show up and almost attack him, until Kairi goes in for that sweet, sweet friendship hug to seal the deal. Kairi gives Sora back the Keyblade, (which turns into Oathkeeper) and together they march towards Ansem. Ansem gloats that it’s too late, and makes his way to Kingdom Hearts.

Sora tells the others he has to go on and stop Ansem, and promises to come back, Kairi says they’ll always be one, and helps the others fend off the Heartless in Hollow Bastion.

End of The World:

Sora, Donald, and Goofy all head to fight Ansem, basically all the same, Ansem gets defeated, Riku and Mickey close the door from the other side, but Kairi doesn’t go back to Destiny Islands. The worlds are restored, and all is well. It doesn’t make sense for only Kairi to go back to Destiny Islands, and not Sora. (Also why does Kairi show up at all?) Instead, Sora returns to Hollow Bastion and reunites with Kairi and the other Disney Characters.
