Vagabond head ramblings

Tinten Ruthar, later known in his short Alternian life as Vagabond Raggeyed, the Deserter, and in his pre-scratch adventure the BARD of HASTE, is a troll who loves his freedom. For him this simply means being able to lead a carefree life going where he chooses and doing what he wants. He rarely thinks or cares about the future. In fact, the future scares him.

Pre-scratch this became a love of wandering and adventure, permitted by the lack of responsibility of a lowblood. And he couldn't be happier. Loyalty wasn't a big concern for him, but why wouldn't you stick by your friends?

Post-scratch it made him seize the opportunity to escape from a life of slavery to the life of an outlaw. He resolved not to lose that freedom again and would kill without a thought rather than risk being turned in. He was terribly conflicted with joining Riskshot's merry trolls. On the one hand they were doing practically the same thing he was at the time, he owed them for getting him out of being captured, and saw a kindred spirit in Riskshot. On the other, he didn't see that much of a difference between being bonded by loyalty and love, and to chains and whips.

Leaving the group was, more than testing Riskshot's word and seeing if she would get together with the Sentinel in his absence, to test himself if he could actually do it. He had always intended to return and had he been able to make it would have happily stayed as long as he could knowing he was there because he wanted to be.
