- [Character 1 - Arami]
- {That Breton woman with the Warchief; I thought you were his wife?}
- He gave me his word, swore upon malacath that he wouldn't betray our kin by embracing that seducer.
- He gave me his word, on our oath and the blood of his ancestors, he swore to never fall for that seducer.
- Yet his son betrays us all by descending on the breton, more times than I know.
- A glutton.
- We have to get rid of her, she casts an air of ill fortune on us all.
- {Or get rid of the firstborn..}
- Silence! You don't want to anger that beast. Such a waste to see another fall to his wrath.
- {We should allow her to return to the Bretons}
- She carries with her knowledge of our plans, an ear on every word spoken in that tower. We are already at massive risk here.
- We are already against the wall here.
- {We don't need to kill her, we can just sneak her out without them knowing.}
- Perilous is the peaceful path, I doubt it would succeed. We are made up of passionate men, young, wanting. The worst of them will take to her scent.
- I am shielded from their desire through our code and my husband's judgement.
- However, her departure, without her death, can happen. A way to cover her from sight and smell. I will need certain ingrediants.
- The night moths, spotted them on our way up the river. They are essential for this concoction. The potion must be strong enough so that it lasts 'til she's beyond our reach.
- {Luna moth? I know just the type. Tell me where to go.}
- The moth lures all who come to see it, it wont be hard to spot against the black of night. Grab it and bring the wings back, I'll do the rest.
- Its wings lures all eyes against the night's sky, you should have no trouble seeing it. They are found to the east, within the marsh.
- Bring them, and I'll do the rest.
- {Here, a wing from the moth.}
- All is ready for the potion, we'll have this over with in short time.
- They'll think it's just another ritual, they'll pay no mind. Only when the bretons start screaming do they take interest.
- Now, a moment please. The brew needs focus.
- The ritual was already underway, the boys are none the wiser - they never were interested in my rituals until I started burning Bretons.
- Spare me a moment as I make the brew.
- {The woman is dead...}
- Well, can't say i'm sad for her loss. Many a breton woman cheered to our deaths.
- But I can't say I'm not dissapointed either, to have your final moments in fear of that firstborn. A cruel fate.
- {That monster doesn't care for breton or Orc, he cares for his own pleasures.}
- ...You're right. After what he did to our other shaman, and what he would do to me if it weren't for his father.
- If it's not the breton's who bring him low, it'll have to be us. And with how the wind is blowing, that battle is soon.
- Don't let this distract you, a clear mind is needed for our struggle.
- You did all you could for her.
- May have been a better way to get her outa here - death seems to be the only way any of us are escaping this camp.
- {What will happen to you upon your husbands death?}
- Ancient laws tell nothing of a spinster who outlives their betrothed. And many among our tribe still hold to those customs.
- Yet I'm not eager to give up the fight if I'm still able. And speaking with Yernak, he supports that choice.
- {It's good that you're not chained to customs that have only weakened us over the years}
- Our history has made one thing very clear for our survival, the need to adapt. And if Malacath is to be obeyed fully, then our living legacy in this realm is a must.
- {You shouldn't go against the laws that have steered us over the eras}
- Many proud bloodlines had clung to tradition, wrathful in their convictions. And where are they now?
- Their ways went in the flames of Orinium, to the cheers of manmer throughout the land.
- [Scene where Orc Shaman commences with ritual]
- How you managed to bring these wings without them turning to dust, I'll never know.
- Such delicate hands to carry something so fragile, the life of one not from this land, for sure.
- Just a moment, yes, that's the smell I'm looking for.
- There we are! You could dissapear giants with this.
- All bottled up, now take it. Bring it to her immediately! It wont last long.
- I'll make a show for the chief, you'll slip in behind him. There should be no prying eyes save mine.
- A leaf of nightshade should do it...
- That'll get his attention.
- Here he comes, no go! Make sure he doesn't see you!
- A small ritual to deter any further aggression from the manmer. I can't sit idle while our brothers dies.
- A curse that will send them running in terror, but not much else. I need more time for something lethal.
- Here, take it straight to her and don't delay. I'll offer up a distraction so the chief will emerge from his tower. Hurry.
- Let's put on a show.
- Here he comes, go now!
- Understood husband. A concoction that should form our shield.
- [Scene where Orc shaman is first introduced to player, having been introduced from other Orc with player beside him]
- More friends Anka? You know how that always ends up..
- Let's hope this one survives a day longer than the others.
- [Scene where Orc Shaman is trapped in a burning structure, player enters structure and Shaman is surprised]
- Back, or you will di - Ugh, it's you!
- {Are you hurt Arami? Any other bretons hiding around here?}
- *tired panting*By our blood, I was ready to die, ready to be with the rest of them...
- Just a few scratches, charred fingers... so much of me, spent keeping them back.
- {Good, we should get out of here and fast, nothing's stopping the Breton's from sending more our way.}
- No, we fight here and die! My husband and my kin will not run any longer! Cowards will have no place at Malacths side!
- I swore myself to my husband, and I need to die with my husband as he would have wished, as Malacath would wish. I can't abandon my duty.
- {Arami; your duty is beyond your husband, it is to the survival os us as Orcs. You are important beyond measure, you are our only shaman.}
- I am no one. Just an orc with a few more tricks. With every moment unavenged, we stray further from the ashpits.
- But....my husband. Malacath's eyes are judging me as we speak, this burden cannot be shirked.
- {Trust me Arami; Malacath wants what's good for our people. Your husband will understand - if we fail, then our struggles will be for nothing.}
- He spoke to you didn't he? Malacath?! Great father of the cursed. I sense it behind your eyes.
- If it's Malacaths will that we survive another day, then we must obey. We cannot have our deaths be in vein, to have our entire struggle be for nothing.
- Malacath, give us strength! Give us some small hope against this storm of evil.
- Malacath spoke to you didn't he? I can sense it - I felt something on your return from those Breton walls.
- Ugh..... You're right, I couldn't die here and watch from the Ashpit as my kin are slaughtered to the last. I want my death to mean something, and by Malacath's mettle, it will.
- {You're doing the right thing, now let's get out of here.}
- This is not about what's right, we do this because we must. Our only want is the survival of Orsinium and the rest of us.
- Having lost everything, our wants are what carries us.
- Now lead on, bloodkin.
- Lead on, bloodkin.
- [Scene where Orc Shaman has escaped burning building, regrouping with other Orcs]
- I was stubborn, certain that I would die there. But the newblood gifted me with truth.
- That our fight is beyond our honour, it is for the right to live.
- We must move immediately if we're to help those who fled. More bretons will descend here soon.
- Does it surpise you? The firstborn broke rank and fled, trampling over his fallen brothers.
- Such selfish ambition cannot lead us in these times.
- The newblood has swayed my mind, I'm going to keep fighting for our cause.
- We should get out of here if we want to help the others who fled.
- [Scene where another Orc gives moving speech, rallying other Orcs]
- Fine speech Anka, never thought ya had it in you.
- A way with words Anka, to have such a powerful tongue wasted here..
- We go then, for home and a future!
- [Character 2 - Mad Orc Shaman]
- {If you want to keep your life then you'd best listen.}
- Another one come to rein me in? Is the desire so strong? Back with you!
- To keep a woman in her place? Is that it? I'll not have it! Back!
- {I don't want to hear another sob story, I think I'll just kill you.}
- Ha! That arrogance, let's see how this pig burns!
- {No, I've come to offer you a means of escape. But you must stop this madness.}
- You think so little of us, that we're fools. If this shield drops then you're going straight for my neck, with a collar or a blade.
- {Do you really want to die up here? On a desolate crag surrounded by the dead instead of your kin?}
- My kin are exactly why I'm up here! They control my every step and have shackled me to that demon firstborn. I'm not going to be a punching bag for that brute any longer.
- {You don't need to return to that outpost, you can head east to Skyrim and stay at one of those stronghold.}
- You're not playing with me huh?! Not going to pelt me with arrows when I drop my guard? Please, I just want to leave this hateful realm. I've been through bad, but the trials you face here would test the best of us.
- {I'm telling the truth, there's enough blood in the reach.}
- Malacath, help me! Convince me that this brute speaks true.
- Alright, I'll stop. Please let me leave, I'll go east and will never return. I'm sorry for what happened here, this ordeal took the better of me.
- You may be the only good soul to be found out here.
- [Character 1 - Arami]
- {So are you wedded to the Chief?}
- Wouldn't last long here If I wasn't. A lone woman among a brood of angry, young men would not bode well.
- There used to be another, a shaman, but the night had taken her a few days back. There are rumors she still lives, not far from here.
- But knowing how she was treated, I doubt she has any plans to return.
- {I'm sure you can protect yourself with those magics}
- I could, but I shouldn't - I cannot turn these cruel spells upon my own kin. They're only intended for breton flesh, as the magic I use doesn't end a life swiftly.
- You know it. But the spells I've learned are far too cruel to ever be cast on kin. No, only for breton eyes will they shine.
- {Are you concerned about the firstborn taking over once the chief dies?}
- Who isn't? No one here has any desire to see the crown passed down. A far better fate to have us all consumed in battle than to suffer from that boy's madness.
- I've seen what he's done to that breton woman, toying with her thoughout the day. No loyalty to his own.
- To whose womb did that creature spawn from, i'd never know.
- And when the chief passes, then the firstborn will have me to sire his own.
- Oh, I can't dare to think about it!
- {Maybe you don't need to be his wife?}
- And betray the laws set by Malacath himself? I am his by right, to be inherited upon the chief's death.
- My age still affords me some years for children. Ha, I must be the only woman who wishes to put youth behind her.
- What do you mean? It his right to inherit me from his father, I am not old enough to earn my freedom - I still have years in me to sire offspring.
- {Many share your thoughts}
- They may, yet being without sisters, by blood or not, will leave me never knowing.
- {This bondage seems to cause all Orc women strife, despite its ancient history}
- What can we do? It is our way, we cannot betray our culture lest we fall prey to those outside our kin.
- We are but two standing against thousand of years of tradition. What could we hope to achieve? Our ways have sustained us, without them, we'd have fallen to our enemies.
- {As long as you have a want for freedom, there will always be a need for change}
- ..I admit, I've not heard such words spoken before, and it.... warms my heart, to know that it could be different. With kin like you, we really could chuck off these old chains.
- But those who hold to similar beliefs are far too few.
- {Or many, just silent on the matter..}
- We'll never know until we try, I understand.
- {Where do you get your supplies?}
- Most you see here was carried along the river, every orc hauling twice their weight, enough to last us a month at least.
- It's been just over a fortnight since our arrival.
- The fighting of the first week had spent more than half our food. Strength cannot last on empty stomachs. We've ran through a few of the hounds already for extra meat.
- We have to be called back before starvation hits, Orsinium can't afford to lose all the lives here.
- {Yeah I see, you've built around this outpost rapidly}
- Sleepless nights of sweat and toil cut down every tree in sight, erecting them again for our defense. Some perished, others wished they did.
- An injured Orc is a dead Orc in the chief's eyes.
- Now what remains are mostly newbloods, coming from all corners of the land.
- {You don't think the Bretons know about our conditions? That we lack food?}
- They know damn well that we can't last. Sometimes they're just a bit too eager to get rid of us. Yet if we arrived at a more peaceful time, then they'd have simply waited, and let us eat each other.
- But the bretons do not share the same unity we do. They fight amongst themselves with the same ferocity as they do us.
- We must make the most of this, make a path for other Orcs from Orsinium. Being cut off from our home will see to fate too soon.
- And the longer we're here, the stronger Orsinium becomes. That is the goal, the only goal.
- [Scene where Orc Shaman is being tortured]
- Just kill me Breton! Do it! Let me rest *screams of pain*.
- {Get out of here now, the bretons will come for you again!}
- Playing with me just before you cut me down? Huh?!
- {No, I saved you, this is your only chance to escape}
- A naked orc, running through breton land. Escape? I'm already dead.
- {Take this, you should head to skyrim, many Orc enclaves there}
- What's this, no more blood?! The wounds, healing?!
- They left me for dead, they made sure of it. But you stopped it. What game are you playing?
- No, it is a miracle. Someone came to save an Orc.
- Really? Ah, I can't die cold. Alright, good fit. Ha.
- Malacath give me strength, they're all dead. I am shamed, I cannot return to my kin.
- {You bring them the news of your Kin here, They will understand}
- You really do care, don't ya? Either mad or..
- I don't think I've ever said a kind word since I got here. But thank you.
- I will leave, don't follow, I must make this journey alone.
- {Leave now, don't make me change my mind}
- Either way, I'm at your power. *sigh* so be it, I'll try.
- {What have you got for sale?}
- Anythin' for kin, may it help in your battles.
- [NPC GOODBYE]
- Good luck.
- Keep your strength.
- Another time.
- [NPC HELLO]
- In need?
- What can I do for kin?
- Come now, speak.
- This isn't the time.
- We must go on.
- You've proven yourself against all the evil here, you will be granted the greatest of thrones in death. This I'm sure.
- This is farewell then, until Orsinium calls on every Orc.
- [NPC TAUNT AGGRESSIVE]
- Cower!
- You will boil and burn!
- For the blood of my Kin!
- There is no escape.
- Ancestors guide me!
- You dare strike Kin?!
- [NPC SEES ENEMY]
- Out with you!
- Found you.
- [NPC SEARCHES FOR ENEMY]
- You cannot hide for long.
- [NPC DIES]
- Ah.....
- Not like this...
- [NPC ATTACKS ENEMY]
- Weak!
- You will scream!
- Ha!
- Aghhh!
- Kneel!
- Fall to me!
- [NPC IS ATTACKED]
- Not again!
- Ah!
- Eughh!
- [NPC BLOCKS ATTACK]
- That was nothing.

- [Plans for further dialogue]
- {What happens to Arami when warchief dies, she gets passed off to firstborn. She hopes this doesn't happen and you ask why she can't find an alternative, to free herself of this traditional bondage. She expresses doubt but says she needs to keep malacath's law.}
- {Ask her where she gets her supplies and where the camp gets its food from, she says orcs brought it with them when they raided. Only lasting a month, have to ration and extremely frugal with their meals. Ask her if she's fully committed to dying for the cause, she says yet begrudgingly.}
