  1. Interview Malpicci
  2.
  3. - Tell us something about yourself?
  4. First, hello y'all! Hmmm Malpicci ingame? Well, I try my best to be just a regular player trying to have fun, after all this is just a game. Nobody will ever see me provoking anyone in global chat. I'm just trying to be a the good guy and help the ones that are around me. As you can see in my profile page, I've been citizen for only three countries being Brazil, Turkey and Greece, and I had no problems with anyone from these countries while I was there. This is just a game, and I was loyal to all of the countries mentioned before while I was carrying their flags.
  5.
  6. - Who is Malpicci in RL?
  7. My real life name is Thiago Queiroz. I was born and lived almost all my life in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil, but three years ago I decided to risk everything and came to the United States seeking a Bachelors degree. Currently, I'm a 24 year-old and going to my Senior year in college, majoring in Sports Management. Still trying to decide what I'm going to do after getting my diploma, maybe Masters or finding a job, not sure yet.
  8.
  9. - Why did you choose this nick?
  10. In Brazil we carry our mother's last name as our middle name and our father's as our last name. As you can see in the previous question, my last name is Queiroz, but, after doing some research about my family history, I discovered that my grandfather's middle name was Malpicci. I was not able to meet my grandfather in real life because he died when my father was still very young, so I decided to honor him by using his middle name as my nickname in game.
  11.
  12. - What is most fun thing you did in edomi?
  13. I cannot say that I did much in eDom, but there were a lot of things that I was able to participate. When I was in Turkey, we were having a lot of trouble trying to hold the attacks from Greece, Colombia, Indonesia, and Bulgaria at the same time, and we fought very had during that war, but right after that we had the whole boycott thing which kinda tarnished the whole campaign. Also, we had some great OHs as Virtus last year which was awesome to know that Brazil was able to help as you can see in some of the Kinyas articles from that period.
  14.
  15. - What aspect of game you like the most and why?
  16. I like the Military part. We lack in features in the Economic and Political aspects. There is so little you can do for them, it is very repetitive most of the time and gets boring after you spend sometime doing it. Definitely fighting is the best part. It is a great feeling when you see the OH that you are participating working perfectly and being able to hold or to turn the bar. eDom is a game, we should have more fun playing it.
  17.
  18. - You are country president of Brazil, before you were MoFA if I remember... How is community there and what are specific about that community in your experience?
  19. Before being MoFA, I was in eGreece spending sometime away from politics in game while I was having a rough semester in college. I came back to Brazil to help the community we have, but, unfortunately, we lost many of our main players. Right now, our government is managed by three players, me, Pereira, and Avasarala (Walen). Currently, we have only three RL Brazilians, our Portuguese brothers (MEKs), and a few foreigners. I have to say that a few of our old players lost interest in the game, as you can see in Brazilian rankings, we lost Celio, Governador (Satanick), Nielton, Lashiec, and Kirito, and this cause a lot of damage in our system. We used to have a few state accounts that we produced weapons to our citizens to battle, and with the lost of the players mentioned before we ended up losing not only firepower but also weapons and friends. Hopefully Admins are going to make some changes in some of the systems/mechanics and they might come back, but I doubt it will happen.
  20.
  21. - You said you played for Turkey, Greece and now Brazil... How do you compare communities in all that countries (chat activity, shouts and so)?
  22. Every community is different. Each one has its unique characteristics. In Brazil, we had the SoA which was formed by Brazilians with Celio as our commander, and the MEKs formed by the Portugueses with Pereira as their commander, two groups but with the same objectives which made us be united. We use WhatsApp in Brazil for most of the decisions and we have almost nothing ingame as shouts or the national chats. When we moved to Turkey after being wiped by Colombia, we still had the same two groups but now inside the Turkish community. Me, Celio, and Pereira were the ones more involved in the decisions at that time. We had several talks with Kinyas and Batu through Discord during that period, and I thank both of them for being super receptive with us. And as Greece, I did not get too involved in their community. I was having a really busy semester in college and I told Gravedigger that he just needed to send me the orders to battle so I would hit for them. I wish I had more time to experience their organization because I know for sure that they are very organized, which is a characteristic that I value a lot in eDom, and I can say the same about Turkish organization. All the three countries were awesome for me, each one was different but I had zero problems with anyone while I was there.
  23.
  24.
  25. - How are your relations with neighbors? I see you occupied some of their regions...
  26. We have good relations with our neighbours. Paraguay, Argentina, and South Africa are rented regions while Uruguay is just occupied. We tried our best to keep it in diplomacy instead of having to spend resources to keep our bonuses.
  27.
  28. - How hard was get that 100% on food and house? No chance for better wep bonuses?
  29. Not hard at all. Luckily we are only three active countries in South America, being Brazil, Colombia, and Chile. Even though we are enemies from the other two, we do not see any reason to fight with them for bonuses. We have enough resources for all the three countries to enjoy at least food and house bonuses at 100%. Weapon is another thing, we decided to keep 20% and not even try to get more than that. It would be just a waste of damage, weapons and resources to get more than that, and it would only be greediness from us.
  30.
  31. - What do you don't like in (some) other players?
  32. My biggest problem with other players is when they blame different things instead of realising that the problem was actually their own strategies. I was inside of many of the main talks in some of the wars that I participated in the past year, and I can say for sure that mostly of the ones that my side lost were because of people doing shit strategy  Bad strategies do not affect only your country but all the ones that helped you, and I think some people do not realise that.
  33.
  34. - What do you think needs to be changed in this game? What would you like? I have seen you give some ideas in articles, any feedback from admin about that?
  35. I wrote an article giving details about some of my ideas, but I guess some players/admin prefer to have a game moving only with RL fights. Well, I will present them again even though none of them are going to be applied since I did not get any feedback from Admin. P.S: All the changes are meant to be done at the same time, because some of them has only a logic if applied with the others.
  36. - Changes in the production mechanics. CGRM and Admin's old proposals are just ideas that could be applied.
  37. - Reduce the number of MPPs. Not all wars need to be World Wars.
  38. - 50% damage penalty for players fighting in battles of Non-Allies (do not count RWs).
  39. - 15 days cooldown after cancelling MPP.
  40. - Alliance Enemy. Alliances could indicate an enemy one for the period of 30 days, would get an extra 5% in the alliance's DO against their enemies.
  41. You can check my article where I explain with more details https://www.edominations.com/en/article/23676
  42.
  43. - How much time you spend here? Be honest...
  44. It is a little relative the amount of time I spend ingame. I keep it open 24/7 in my computer, but I don't do much during the day besides when we have wars or just to complete AC, so I would say around 3-4 hours daily. Unfortunately, there is no reason to spend more time because there are nothing interesting to do.
  45.
  46. - Tell me how is your character in game alike you in RL?
  47. As I mentioned before, I am very loyal to the ones that are by my side. I believe that our game actions represent our RL ideas. I'm not a provoker in game or out of it. I try my best to just be a regular guy, and the most helpful possible to my friends.
  48.
  49. - Do you think politics in game is like that in RL? Or maybe you like that you can influence it?
  50. It is definitely not like RL. We have just a few options to do things ingame. As government, we don't even have detailed graphics about our country economy or better laws which is absurd. Congress members are almost unnecessary. An idea gave back in time was to have fast laws which would be awesome to give importance to them and to have more people participating and being active.
  51.
  52. - Have you some message for other players?
  53. My message to other players is that this is just a game. Try your best to have fun while playing it. Stop bringing RL problems because they just create a toxic community. And press Admin to change things in the game. Have fun and enjoy the game! o7
