Let's be frank, this stuff does pose an issue for a liberal worldview. While it wont result in a total jettison, it will require a scaling back. There's always something useful, somewhere, in ideologies I find.

And the issue it presents is pretty clearly to liberal notions of 'justice' and 'what people deserve'

If the rise and fall of individuals is not about their merit defined in the context of their will to succeed so much as about characteristics inherent to them, given by their parents which not even their parents consciously cultivated but ultimately come from some larger breeding population... this does alter how we view society and out commitments to one another.
