- >"This is Mr. Elite and King Konverse on 102.6 jamz. It's 7 AM this Friday, and it's starting to get a little chilly today, don't you think, King?
- >Winter's almost here, man. It's g-
- >Your hand, after a few misses, smacks the snooze button and you peek your head from under the covers
- >A thin beam of sunlight peeks through the curtain and hits you square in the eye
- >As you turn away from it and closed your eyes again, there's a knock at the door
- "Come in. It's not locked"
- >"You're not gonna lay in bed all day are you?
- >Great. LYRA is the first person you talk to today...
- "All day? It's 7!"
- >"What's your point? Me and Bonnie were up an hour ago."
- "It's your JOB to be up early. Give me a break, I'm still getting used to this place."
- >"Even if it wasn't, I wouldn't be laying around like some slouch and-"
- "IT'S 7 O'CLOCK!"
- >"And you've been here for 2 weeks already, you're plenty familiar with the place. Now get up and come downstairs. Breakfast is ready. I made waffles."
- >With that, she turns quickly and walks back to the door from your position on your bed, you catch a glimpse of her panties
- >She faces you once more and speaks
- >"If you're not down in 5 minutes, I'm throwing out your food
- "Whatever you say... Polka-dots"
- >A look of confusion flashes onto her face that quickly changes to embarrassment
- >"You...you... AGH!
- >You break out into a grin as you hear her stomping down the hallway
- >Well that's enough laying around, you figure. You throw on a button up shirt and some khakis and head to the dining room downstairs.
- As you round a corner, you hear a female voice humming a song.
- You peek your head around the corner, and it's none other than Bonnie sweeping the foyer. Her back is towards you.
- >A smirk comes across your face and you decide to give her a little start.
- >You slowly creep up behind Bonnie and reach out and grab her hips.
- "Boo!"
- >"AHH! THAT'S MY PURSE! I DON'T KNOW YOU!"
- >Instead of a typical reaction, she jumps forward and swings the broom she was holding behind her.
- >You don't even see the improvised weapon coming until it's going across your face.
- >Down you go.
- >"Huh? ANON! Oh, I'm so so SO sorry! I didn't mean it! HONEST!"
- >Bonnie rushes to your side and helps you into a sitting position. She places your head in her bosom and gives your forehead a couple kisses.
- >"You really shouldn't sneak up on me, Anon!. I've had some... bad experiences with that."
- >When the room finally stops spinning, you look up at Bonnie and wipe the tears forming at her eyes.
- "It's fine, Bonnie. I probably shouldn't have snuck up on you like that."
- >"Let's get you some ice for that bump".
- >Bonnie helps you to your feet and with her help, you walk to the kitchen.
- >"I'm so sorry, Anon."
- "For the last time, Bonnie. It's fine. It was an accident and accidents happen."
- >You sit in the kitchen holding a bag of ice to your temple. Bonnie has been apologizing for the past 5 minutes now. It's cute if not a little annoying.
- >"Anon, I heard your voice. Where are you?
- You hear Lyra's voice ring out so you answer back
- "The kitchen!"
- >The door then bursts open.
- >"Anon, what the hell? I tell you to come to breakfast and I walk back into the dining room and the meal I slaved over is damn near cold! Why didn't-
- >It took Lyra a second to process what she saw
- >"So uhh... anyone gonna tell me what happened here?
- >You and Bonnie glance at each other then back at Lyra
- >"Nothing." You both answer simultaneously
- >Lyra eyes you suspiciously "So why do you have an icepack on your head?"
- "It's uhh... the newest trend?"
- >You don't think she's buying it.
- >"I'm not buying it. When you want to tell me what ACTUALLY happened, I'm all ears.
- >Lyra turns and walks back out the door she came through but pokes her head back in.
- >"Oh yeah. I hope you're happy with cereal for breakfast." With that, her head disappears from the doorway.
- "What? What happened to my waffles?
- >It's muffled by the door, but you make out the words "I ate them" in a mocking fashion.
- *sigh*
- After your 'breakfast', you decide to go for a walk.
- >The town's too far, but you remember passing a trail when you go on your morning jog.
- >Lyra said the place was called... Whitetail Woods or something.
- >It looks pretty peaceful. Why not?
- >After about ten minutes of walking, you come across a small stream
- >With a little effort, you cross it without falling in
- >You notice a fallen tree in your path, so you decide to have a seat and just take in the beauty of these woods.
- "I have to thank Lyra for mentioning this place when I get back"
- >You're then acutely aware of growling behind you.
- >You quickly turn around and jump up when you spot an angry grizzly bear
- "...If I make it back."
- >Immediately, you look around for an escape route and notice what probably got you in this situation.
- >A bear den. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. It's probably a mother protecting her cubs.
- >You turn back to face the bear and back up slowly as you try and find a way out of this situation. What to do? You could-
- >Your thoughts are cut short when roars and walks closer.
- >PANIC
- >What do they say to do when attacked by a bear? Make yourself look bigger right?
- >You put your arms over your head and start yelling hoping to scare it away.
- >It apparently doesn't work as the bear gets closer, stands up and raises it's paw at you.
- 'Is this it? Am I gonna die? I never got to live life. I never found love. I never got to eat those waffles!
- >"STOOOOP!!"
- >Both you and the bear freeze and look behind you.
- >You can see the silhouette of a woman standing on a hill
- >"Bosco, stop it! What would your mother growl if she saw you attacking innocent people?"
- >To your surprise, the bear actually backs down and seems... ASHAMED?
- >You're currently watching a girl scold a grizzly bear... the bear finished the job, didn't he?
- >She begins walking closer to both of you and you can now take in her appearance
- >She's small, almost frail-looking. Long pink hair A yellow cashmere sweater and long pink skirt that ended in yellow butterflies. A gold tennis bracelet adorned her slim wrist. Attached to her waist looks what appears to be a survival kit.
- >"Now go home, Bosco! Your brothers are waiting. I'll be over to check on you soon, ok?"
- >The bear, Bosco, slowly turns around and heads to the den across the clearing and disappears from sight.
- >You glance back to her face and she's has a frown not unlike a parent's disciplining a child until she turns to face you and it transforms into a demure smile.
- >"I'm sorry. He's actually a very nice bear. I'm sure he attacked you because you were close to his family home. You're not hurt are you?"
- >As soon as the threat of imminent death wasn't looming over your head, you gathered your thoughts and spoke clearly.
- "N-no, F-f-f-fine."
- >Sort of.
- "...
- >"...
- >You both realize you were staring at each other and you both turn away
- *Ahem* "So, uh, what's my hero's name?"
- >She's stutters and a blush appears on her face.
- >"Hero? Wha- No! I was just passing by and saw that you need help. I-"
- >She trails off and looks at the floor.
- "That really sounds like a hero to me."
- >She opens her mouth again to protest but simply smiles shyly.
- >*mumble*
- "Huh?"
- >"po-*mumble* but m- *mumble*"
- "What? You're speaking too low."
- >"P-Posey. My n-name is Posey. My friends c-call me Fluttershy."
- "Fluttershy, huh? Yeah, I get it."
- >"Get what?"
- "Nevermind. So, what were you doing all the way out here?"
- >"Oh, I, um, I l-live here. My house is past those trees over there."
- >She points and you can see what looks like a cottage through the trees.
- "Your house? You live out here?"
