  1. >"This is Mr. Elite and King Konverse on 102.6 jamz. It's 7 AM this Friday, and it's starting to get a little chilly today, don't you think, King?
  2. >Winter's almost here, man. It's g-
  3. >Your hand, after a few misses, smacks the snooze button and you peek your head from under the covers
  4. >A thin beam of sunlight peeks through the curtain and hits you square in the eye
  5. >As you turn away from it and closed your eyes again, there's a knock at the door
  6. "Come in. It's not locked"
  7. >"You're not gonna lay in bed all day are you?
  8. >Great. LYRA is the first person you talk to today...
  9. "All day? It's 7!"
  10. >"What's your point? Me and Bonnie were up an hour ago."
  11. "It's your JOB to be up early. Give me a break, I'm still getting used to this place."
  12. >"Even if it wasn't, I wouldn't be laying around like some slouch and-"
  13. "IT'S 7 O'CLOCK!"
  14. >"And you've been here for 2 weeks already, you're plenty familiar with the place. Now get up and come downstairs. Breakfast is ready. I made waffles."
  15. >With that, she turns quickly and walks back to the door from your position on your bed, you catch a glimpse of her panties
  16. >She faces you once more and speaks
  17. >"If you're not down in 5 minutes, I'm throwing out your food
  18. "Whatever you say... Polka-dots"
  19. >A look of confusion flashes onto her face that quickly changes to embarrassment
  20. >"You...you... AGH!
  21. >You break out into a grin as you hear her stomping down the hallway
  22. >Well that's enough laying around, you figure. You throw on a button up shirt and some khakis and head to the dining room downstairs.
  23.
  24.
  25.
  26.
  27. As you round a corner, you hear a female voice humming a song.
  28. You peek your head around the corner, and it's none other than Bonnie sweeping the foyer. Her back is towards you.
  29. >A smirk comes across your face and you decide to give her a little start.
  30. >You slowly creep up behind Bonnie and reach out and grab her hips.
  31. "Boo!"
  32. >"AHH! THAT'S MY PURSE! I DON'T KNOW YOU!"
  33. >Instead of a typical reaction, she jumps forward and swings the broom she was holding behind her.
  34. >You don't even see the improvised weapon coming until it's going across your face.
  35. >Down you go.
  36. >"Huh? ANON! Oh, I'm so so SO sorry! I didn't mean it! HONEST!"
  37. >Bonnie rushes to your side and helps you into a sitting position. She places your head in her bosom and gives your forehead a couple kisses.
  38. >"You really shouldn't sneak up on me, Anon!. I've had some... bad experiences with that."
  39. >When the room finally stops spinning, you look up at Bonnie and wipe the tears forming at her eyes.
  40. "It's fine, Bonnie. I probably shouldn't have snuck up on you like that."
  41. >"Let's get you some ice for that bump".
  42. >Bonnie helps you to your feet and with her help, you walk to the kitchen.
  43.
  44.
  45.
  46.
  47. >"I'm so sorry, Anon."
  48. "For the last time, Bonnie. It's fine. It was an accident and accidents happen."
  49. >You sit in the kitchen holding a bag of ice to your temple. Bonnie has been apologizing for the past 5 minutes now. It's cute if not a little annoying.
  50. >"Anon, I heard your voice. Where are you?
  51. You hear Lyra's voice ring out so you answer back
  52. "The kitchen!"
  53. >The door then bursts open.
  54. >"Anon, what the hell? I tell you to come to breakfast and I walk back into the dining room and the meal I slaved over is damn near cold! Why didn't-
  55. >It took Lyra a second to process what she saw
  56. >"So uhh... anyone gonna tell me what happened here?
  57. >You and Bonnie glance at each other then back at Lyra
  58. >"Nothing." You both answer simultaneously
  59. >Lyra eyes you suspiciously "So why do you have an icepack on your head?"
  60. "It's uhh... the newest trend?"
  61. >You don't think she's buying it.
  62. >"I'm not buying it. When you want to tell me what ACTUALLY happened, I'm all ears.
  63. >Lyra turns and walks back out the door she came through but pokes her head back in.
  64. >"Oh yeah. I hope you're happy with cereal for breakfast." With that, her head disappears from the doorway.
  65. "What? What happened to my waffles?
  66. >It's muffled by the door, but you make out the words "I ate them" in a mocking fashion.
  67. *sigh*
  68.
  69.
  70.
  71.
  72. After your 'breakfast', you decide to go for a walk.
  73. >The town's too far, but you remember passing a trail when you go on your morning jog.
  74. >Lyra said the place was called... Whitetail Woods or something.
  75. >It looks pretty peaceful. Why not?
  76. >After about ten minutes of walking, you come across a small stream
  77. >With a little effort, you cross it without falling in
  78. >You notice a fallen tree in your path, so you decide to have a seat and just take in the beauty of these woods.
  79. "I have to thank Lyra for mentioning this place when I get back"
  80. >You're then acutely aware of growling behind you.
  81. >You quickly turn around and jump up when you spot an angry grizzly bear
  82. "...If I make it back."
  83. >Immediately, you look around for an escape route and notice what probably got you in this situation.
  84. >A bear den. You'd miss it if you weren't looking for it. It's probably a mother protecting her cubs.
  85. >You turn back to face the bear and back up slowly as you try and find a way out of this situation. What to do? You could-
  86. >Your thoughts are cut short when roars and walks closer.
  87. >PANIC
  88. >What do they say to do when attacked by a bear? Make yourself look bigger right?
  89. >You put your arms over your head and start yelling hoping to scare it away.
  90. >It apparently doesn't work as the bear gets closer, stands up and raises it's paw at you.
  91. 'Is this it? Am I gonna die? I never got to live life. I never found love. I never got to eat those waffles!
  92. >"STOOOOP!!"
  93.
  94.
  95.
  96.
  97. >Both you and the bear freeze and look behind you.
  98. >You can see the silhouette of a woman standing on a hill
  99. >"Bosco, stop it! What would your mother growl if she saw you attacking innocent people?"
  100. >To your surprise, the bear actually backs down and seems... ASHAMED?
  101. >You're currently watching a girl scold a grizzly bear... the bear finished the job, didn't he?
  102. >She begins walking closer to both of you and you can now take in her appearance
  103. >She's small, almost frail-looking. Long pink hair A yellow cashmere sweater and long pink skirt that ended in yellow butterflies. A gold tennis bracelet adorned her slim wrist. Attached to her waist looks what appears to be a survival kit.
  104. >"Now go home, Bosco! Your brothers are waiting. I'll be over to check on you soon, ok?"
  105. >The bear, Bosco, slowly turns around and heads to the den across the clearing and disappears from sight.
  106. >You glance back to her face and she's has a frown not unlike a parent's disciplining a child until she turns to face you and it transforms into a demure smile.
  107. >"I'm sorry. He's actually a very nice bear. I'm sure he attacked you because you were close to his family home. You're not hurt are you?"
  108. >As soon as the threat of imminent death wasn't looming over your head, you gathered your thoughts and spoke clearly.
  109. "N-no, F-f-f-fine."
  110. >Sort of.
  111.
  112.
  113.
  114.
  115. "...
  116. >"...
  117. >You both realize you were staring at each other and you both turn away
  118. *Ahem* "So, uh, what's my hero's name?"
  119. >She's stutters and a blush appears on her face.
  120. >"Hero? Wha- No! I was just passing by and saw that you need help. I-"
  121. >She trails off and looks at the floor.
  122. "That really sounds like a hero to me."
  123. >She opens her mouth again to protest but simply smiles shyly.
  124. >*mumble*
  125. "Huh?"
  126. >"po-*mumble* but m- *mumble*"
  127. "What? You're speaking too low."
  128. >"P-Posey. My n-name is Posey. My friends c-call me Fluttershy."
  129. "Fluttershy, huh? Yeah, I get it."
  130. >"Get what?"
  131. "Nevermind. So, what were you doing all the way out here?"
  132. >"Oh, I, um, I l-live here. My house is past those trees over there."
  133. >She points and you can see what looks like a cottage through the trees.
  134. "Your house? You live out here?"
