  1. Start off session with Stuff to do with Mordai (Dacian's brother):
  2. Give Dacian nightmares which are views into what Mordai did in the nine hells in order to achieve power.
  3. Mordai arrived in the Fugue Plane holding his head in his arms. He was able to convince a few souls to become devils and in return Dacian was given his
  4. warlock powers.

  6. **They see fliers all around town stating "By order of Lord Piergieron and the City Guard, all access to the sewers is strictly prohibited."**

  8. Suggest they get hirelings. Scout and a some sort of fighter.

  10. Marcel's key is magical and mushroom people are attracted to it and have already brought it to the center sewer room. Leave a trail.
  11. In this room is a demonic summoning circle that attracted too much magical energy and the mushroom people grew, killing the cultists
  12. These "cultists" were just untrained fanatics who tried to summon a demon. The "One-Eyed demon" that Dacian's imp told him about is the
  13. summoning circle itself (summoning_eye.jpg in session folder).
  14. Leave a few corpses of fanatics with documents showing what they did.

  16. Writing myself out of the corner:
  17. I mentioned the Grells and how they were controlled by a beholder. I also mentioned the demonic summoning circle.
  18. The fanatics created that circle and fucked up the sewer ecology. There is a Beholder in the Undermountain who has been spreading
  19. his influence through the Waterdeep sewers. This Beholder took advantage of this situation to steal some supplies from the docks, knowing he could
  20. use the fungi to slow down any pursuers and throw off the trail.

  23. Phycomid (FeF 183) when they search fanatic corpses. perception DC 15 to spot it before touching (scout PP15, autodetect if still alive)

  25. Manes (MM 61) x3-5 emerge from the summoning eye
  26. Imp (MM 77) helps if things go bad
