- CHELP CULTURE AND CRAFTS
- The Ministry of Culture is responsible for festivals, morale, and general community wellbeing in the Republic. If you are creatively inclined, there are many avenues available to you to receive a recommendation for citizenship through work with the ministry!
- There are many opportunities for those with an eye for design to create items to enrich the Republic- these include, but are not limited to, banners and tapestries to grace the halls of the citadel, apparel and jewelry to show off Spirean pride, or even practical items such as vials and other field gear. You need not be a certified crafter in any of these fields to submit designs- simply get in contact with the Adjutant of Culture to discuss the necessary requirements.
- If your skills lie in the performing arts, you may also find recognition by composing music or theater for the glory of the republic! Submissions of written works may also be appropriate, at the discretion of the Adjutant.
- Becoming an Aide to Culture is also grounds for a recommendation for citizenship. To achieve this, you will need to arrange some form of community event- it need not be enormous, things such as a quiz or a large hunting trip adequate to suffice- but creativity in this field is well rewarded. Once again, contact the Adjutant if you are interested in this prospect.
- CLHELP MINISTRY OF CULTURE
- The Ministry of Culture oversees morale, festivals, decoration and general community wellbeing within the Citadel and the Republic.
- The Adjutant of Culture should aim to have competitions, events, hunting trips, and various other community efforts happening on a fairly regular basis, though it is also their responsibility to work around political and other events that may cause these to be postponed or rearranged.
- The arena and its operation falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Culture, and the details regarding how to arrange events can be found within the scroll HELP CULTURE. It should be noted that there is a cost incurred by starting events, but that advances in research have allowed us to remove the monthly upkeep fee that previously existed.
- The ministry is also unofficially in charge of keeping the Spirean Archives neat and tidy. Periodic checking of library catalogs and rearrangement to make browsing the archives less of a task may be required.
- Regarding citizens who wish to aid the ministry, there are a number of avenues open to them, mentioned in CHELP CULTURE AND CRAFTS. Suitable submissions of work may include:
- -The organisation of a community event, such as a quiz or hunting trip. There are obviously many options in this regard, negotiable with the parties involved. Some other suggestions in this field are: a community game (such as Artifice or Charades), a drinking contest (or similar competitive event- risk assessment should be performed in regard to possible issues), or a scavenger hunt (within the Citadel or beyond its walls at the organiser's discretion).
- -The submission of a body of crafting designs. This should be a significant amount of work- an appropriate number of designs is three to five different items. The party involved is not required to be a certified crafter, only to supply the appropriate descriptive material to make the items craftable.
- -The submission of a body of literary work. At the ministry's discretion, this may be creative work, fictional material or non-fictional. Submissions of and/or performance of musical or theatrical works may also be appropriate.
- These activities may be used as a task to receive a recommendation for citizenship, or a task to become an aide to the ministry.
