[size=95]I started watching Anime around the years of 2008-10, I only have a vague recollection to the actual beginning. I do remember having gotten into it because of Manga that was lent to me by my friends in middle school, but I will always be someone who prefers the moving medium. My first actual Anime that isn’t a childhood memory was Girl’s Bravo (which was my first ever ecchi series & manga as well) and my Top 4 anime pre-2010 were Code Geass, Death Note, Soul Eater & Elfen Lied. After a decade most of these are still strong favourites of mine.

Favoites Info: Anime are all my Top 20 Favorite TV shows sorted in order of rating>potential>love. Manga are my Top 4 and whatever else is currently publishing that I love. Characters are ranked after emotional connection/impact they had on me>writing>how much I adore them/how happy seeing them makes me>relatability. But I love them all. People is pretty staightforward. I recommend looking at my favorites & stuff mosaics.

I changed my scale 4 times. It's now 19. Deal with it.
Ratings apply to TV shows and movies. I am less pedantic when it comes to shorts, OVAs and manga.
Tagged all my shows with their score in a [ ] for easy sorting. I don't tag OVAs (Exceptions make the rule, like FLCL), Specials and music. That doesn't mean these things are ouside of the realm of this scale, but simply I don't put as much effort into thinking about them and don't bother with decimal differences. The numbers given still equal the description in the image below when you open the spoiler (3=terrible etc).
I have more to say about some shows than is written in the tags, these words are written down in the [size=110]"comment"[/size] section that one can view when clicking on the "more" button next to the title.

Example: A 3.0 show is exactly as it is visualized. It is marked red as it "failed" at whatever it was doing, tagged as a [3], and if I would need to describe it in one word, it would be "terrible". It also belongs to the "horrible" section, which is described in more detail below.

[b]"horrible"[/b] shows, are shows I condemn and have little to almost no redeeming qualities, as people tend to say. Shows I had a hard time watching and suffered great pain in order to complete them.
[b]"bad"[/b] shows are shows that just suck. Have some qualities that earned my mercy, but by the end of the day, they weren’t worth the time I had to sit through them.
[b]"average"[/b] is such a vague defined word. I describe average shows as "neither satisfying or unsatisfying". There are very enjoyable average shows: [5.5]; that I ultimately would recommend, and then there are "whatever, it is average"-shows [5]; that I wouldn't recommend but did nothing consistently awful.
Both averages describe shows that are middle of the road; they do not succeed, but also not fail & were also entertaining to an acceptable degree, but not a blast.
[b]"fine"[/b] shows are somewhat more satisfying and succeeding than an average show, but not succeeding enough to be a good show. Shows in the grey zone between "above average" and "good". Shows tagged as [6] are the ones I either consider “above average” or “disappointing 7s”, some could consider those “special 6s” as well. These shows are well written but didn’t appeal to my personal preferences of pacing, tone, characters, etc; or were very clumsy at them. Too clumsy for me to give them a “mercy 7”. Those shows failed to be good but are very much above mediocrity.
[6.5]s are the ones I consider “failed 7s”. Were on their way to greatness but lost my grasp somewhere along the lines.
[b]"good”[/b] shows are enjoyable, well written and decently produced. Some irked me in their writing, plot, pacing, tone - anything you can think of - but managed to outweigh those issues to be [i]still pretty good[/i]. Usually tagged as [7]s.
[7.5]s are shows I had a great time with but aren’t exceptionally well written, or presented, to promote them to an [8].
[b]"great"[/b] shows are better written, presented and put together than good shows. I enjoyed them and find them rewatch-worthy. In cases of some [8]s: They aren’t very personally relevant to me, or that rewatch worthy, but did nothing wrong in their narrative and presentation besides some minor issues I may have had with them.
[8.5]s are closer to a [9] than they are to an [8]; meaning they have no to very little flaws in their narrative and design, but aren't succeeding in all categories to be considered better than great.
[b]"excellent"[/b] shows are above most of their colleagues in their genre, succeed in their presentation and writing and are highly entertaining. High rewatch value. Sold me completely on their narrative and execution of such. Either slightly flawed enough to not gain a 10: [9.5] or just better than a great show: [9].
[b]"masterpiece"[/b] is self-explanatory. Shows that succeed all of their colleagues in their genre, and have the presentation, writing, density and entertainment- as well as rewatch value to back it up. Some of them are personally relevant [10.5], some are the definitive pinnacle of anime [11], some are both [12]. [10] are your classic “outstanding” masterpieces.
