  1. I am a 17 year old male. I was diagnosed with ADD when I was 13 years old and it affected my schooling. I was prescribed Ritalin when I was 14 but switched to Adderall due to cost and affects. I would take it regularly on weekdays for school. I would take one long-acting early in the morning, I'm unsure about my dosage at the time.
  2. One day at school I rolled my ankle in gym, although it hurt a little, I could tolerate it and continued running around playing. I went about the day without issue. However when my medication had worn off, I felt the constant pain in the ankle I had rolled, barely being able to walk on it.
  3. Then nearing the end of that school year I was riding my bike home and ended up falling off, catching my self with my hands but scraping them up terribly. I got up, wiped my hands on my pants, feeling a little pain but I just picked up my backpack got on my bike, and rode home. Again, When my medicine worn out the pain was more than earlier.
  4. Over the time of taking the same prescription for 3-4 years I came to learn that when I'm on my medicine to be careful if I get hurt, because I know it's worse than if feels. The only change in my prescriptio was recently switching to a short and a long acting in the morning, because the long acting can take some time to kick in.
  5. I was wondering how and why adderall could affect my pain tollerance/perception. I haven't been able to find anything at all about adderall affecting pain tolerance whatsoever.
