Shokugeki no Soma!

Welcome to the Totsuki Culinary Institute, an elite culinary school located in Tokyo, Japan. Our alumni are the most notable chefs that span the entire globe, and only a handful of students out of thousands will be able to say they have passed our rigorous testing and judgement. Once you have passed your entrance exam, you will be invited to our campus, which is a wide ranging resort with many research societies(clubs), cooking classrooms, study halls, a massive campus wide library, housing and even a resort hotel. Of course the largest areas are the Shokugeki Arena's. Massive stadiums designed to hold fierce culinary battles between students.

The top ten students create the elite council that presides over day to day affairs with managing the students and workload, while teaching problem solving and critical thinking under stressful situations in a controlled environment. Our methods are rigorous, sometimes bordering on what some would call 'abusive' but it is only to ensure the cream of the crop float to the top.

A Shokugeki can be declared at any time by a student to any other student or alumni. The stipulations for the battle must be agreed upon, with the contestants putting something of value on the line. The opponent can decline if they believe the offer is too small, to up the ante as it were. This can range from small trinkets, personal heirlooms, the contestants equipment, even their entire career as a chef can be stopped with a single battle. Shokugeki's are not meant to be taken lightly.

The academy hosts cooking battles at regular intervals throughout the year, with the top students moving on to the next phase of their training while the rest are trimmed from the herd. These are gruelling tests of your mettle as a chef and as a worker and student. Be prepared for them at all times. Your experience here will be tough, demanding, and will feel inhumane... however, if you survive, you will be considered part of an elite group of people with massive influence, luxury and wealth at your disposal.

Rules
1. Humans only, no room for fantastical creatures or anthros here. You may lurk, or ask questions and get a feel for the place, but please do not post.
2. No drama. We're here to have fun. If you're a fan of the show I hope to help recreate some of the magic that we saw on screen.
3. Smut is allowed but not the focus. No extreme kinks, you know what they are.
4. No super powers. We have canon 'superhuman' traits but they are exceedingly rare for a reason.
5. If you challenge someone to a Shokugeki, it is expected that you will determine the winner between yourselves. However, if you wish to invite three other people to judge your dishes, that is more than acceptable as well.
6. Canon characters and Original characters are allowed. For OCs, you will start as first years and can advance.
7. Staff is always welcome to apply. Students may not also be staff members.
