Sherrilyn Kenyon’s Confused Past

As a very close acquaintance to Sherrilyn Kenyon I can confirm that this woman is indeed a pathological liar.  She suffers from a type of borderline personality disorder and exhibits a kind of Munchausen's syndrome with her life story that progressively grows in extremity depending on the interview she’s engaged in..

The following facts, all based on past interviews, will help demonstrate clearly what kind of personality she exhibits.

While my own words about her could make its own novel, I’ll leave that alone for now and only show the facts based on her own words.

Firstly, we have to look at a snapshot of her website in 2014,while it does still contain a lo


We read in part,
Going back many years we can see how Sherrilyn has consistently changed her story. On  August 8, 2003 Kenyon we can read an interview with the website “Crescent Blues”, which states that she claims to have a doctorate in history, which is a total fabrication.  In this interview, and at this time in her life and for for a number of years, she portrayed herself as having a doctorate degree in history.  Not only having a doctorate in history, but worked as an actual professor of history as well as a college counselor.

Moving on we can read in an interview she made with loveromances.com. She goes on with her past by stating that she literally spent 10 years in college and a lot of money doing so, although she doesn’t explain this whatsoever.  This is very important to note because
 in that she was never able to continue on with her degree and her husband pulled her away after college after they married in 1990.

:-) Seriously though, ever since I was a small child, I've been enamored of the middle ages. As far back as I can remember I was reading any and all things set in that time period. Ivanhoe, Men of Iron, Otto of the Silverhand, Chaucer, Tales of King Arthur and Robin Hood....

Sherrilyn:
In an interview with SFFP Romance, Sherillyn continues the story of her past by saying that she spent a “couple of years teaching college” and that she was a web developer.

SFFP Romance asks in part,

Well, first off let's meet the writers herself. Describe yourself, what you write, and any miscellaneous tidbits the readers might like to hear. :)

 and a mother of three darling little boys. I love to read and write most anything, but especially science fiction, fantasy and romance (not necessarily in that order)
 and I love all things medieval--the inside of my house is actually decorated with medieval wallpaper, crests, manuscript pages, brass rubbings and even a suit of armor.

Later in the interview SFFP Romance asks her what kind of jobs she’s had in her past to influence her career and she goes into listing things that could be easily proven an actual lie or hyperboyle.  For example she claims to have been a professor again but this time she says she was an actual reporter, camera woman, radio station manager and even a college advisor, which incidentally means she’s saying she has another degree on top of her Phd in history.  She says in the interview,

Later we see an interview with the site “Romance Review” we continue with her telling more lies about her past and changing the story on the birth of her first born saying she spent her entire pregnancy in the hospital.  Over the years this story will change repeatedly with this and the dates never match up.   She again states that she was teaching middle ages and that she’d been a SF/F editor for 4 years.

In the same interview she now says that she has her two boys but a grad student of history

In an interview with Tammy Rusotto she again states that she was a certified psychic.  (Note:  I have no idea how one would be a ‘certified’ psychic.  Who does such certifications?”



In an interview with Lodeen Smith the absurdities go off the deep end and a lot to mention. She says here that she is ambidextrous and says she’s “able to use both the left and right side of my brains equally which really come in handy doing web work.” She goes on to state the following when she is asked about the look of her websites.  She claims here that she has a heavy art background among being an expert in computer technology as well as living in New Orleans but doesn’t give a time frame.  Sherrilyn has never lived in New Orleans.

The reason these few interviews are important is because they conflict with her most recent stories and public comments on her Facebook page.  No longer is she the Phd but she tells the Tennessean article ( https://www.tennessean.com/story/entertainment/people/2018/07/02/sherrilyn-kenyon-dark-hunter-series-abuse-homeless/699593002/ ) that her husband pulled her away from all of that, which is simply false.  She graduated college with a bachelors and they moved to Mississippi where he completed his law degree.  She did not pay his way through college, she stayed at home.  Her husband comes from a wealthy family in Georgia and they were never homeless except for maybe the actual moving day of their trip to their apartment in Mississippi.
