  1. June 2016 HMNB Clyde
  2. >You feel sad as once again a tour in the Atlantic comes to an end, HMS Vigilant won't be vigilant for some time now, it's your sister's turn, why isn't she anywhere to be seen?
  3. >"Where's Vengeance, shouldn't she be leaving port for her own tour?" one of your officers asks a passing sailor.
  4. >"She was until yesterday morning, sir, there's something wrong with her air filtration system, so she's going nowhere anytime soon" the sailor replies. You immediately get worried before realising what this means; one of the four of you is always on patrol, half of the arsenal on another sub being prepared for the next tour starting as soon as the one currently on patrol returns to port.
  5. >If the other half is still onboard "Vengeance", then it means the only way for the British nuclear deterrent to be effective is for you to leave for another patrol ASAP while either "Vengeance" is repaired or one of the other two is prepared for patrol ahead of time.
  6. >"Belay the last order! Inform the captain about this!" the officer of the watch barks to the men on deck before turning to a petty officer, then addressing the sailor that provided the news.
  7. >"Any word on "Victorious" or "Vanguard?""
  8. >"Vanguard is still on drydock, sir, "Victorious"'s crew is on shore leave all over the isles I should say, no way either one of them is putting to sea this month!" the sailor replies.
  9. >"Wonderful, then I guess that next you'll tell me that the insanity they dubbed "Brexit" also passed, aren't you?"
  10. >"...About that, sir..." the sailor replies, provoking
  11. >"For God's sake, we are gone for a few months and by the time we get back the whole is about to end, what next, that crazy yank, Trump was his name, is going to be nominated?"
  12. >from the officer of the watch, you don't know much about human politics, nor do you care, all you care about is whether you'll get to go back to sea for a little while.
  13. >The rest of the fleet think you and your sisters are weird, you don't care.
