  1. Altan Stargazer stared at the vast expanse he now found himself in. It had been hours on end, just like this. A landscape, looking like something straight out of one of his fantastical dreams, and yet so vivid to the senses... more then the senses-- which, for the most part, constitute a mortal sense of reality-- what he was experiencing now felt real to the soul. And so how befitting that everything felt so numb now.
  2.
  3. The soul's eyes had been wide-open for so long, staring out into the endless series of yellow clouds, and yet not even looking at the same time. His feet were planted on the ground, on the grass, and yet he didn't feel like he was standing on anything at all. So many sensations unfamiliar to the body... or rather, sensations that seemed to lack physical form. If there were any other way to put... he felt like a cloud; a mass of gas, almost untangible...
  4. Similarly to a ghost, Altan didn't feel like he even existed at the moment... there were no thoughts flowing actively through his mind at the moment... all was blank. When he'd been alive, he'd felt so active, but now.. even as his eyes could not physically blink... eternal slumber seemed to cover him, as if in a trance.
  5.
  6. In the distance, the soul heard noise-- voices, many of them. Other souls who were in this realm, and being ordered into lines, awaiting judgement, perhaps. And here he was... so so far away from them. Was it not his turn yet? His previously aquamarine eyes slowly moved to examine the space around him. Empty, save for the grass, rocks, and smaller animal souls that paid him no mind. Alone, as always.
  7.
  8. Alone... that single word-- nay, that single description of his state of existence... it was infuriating. The boy's life was a tragedy, down-played by his optimism and carefree attitude... but his personality and actions only hid what was beneath.. sadness, anger. Contained throughout all his life because people couldn't accept difference. Variety. Change.
  9. In Atlantis, even as a small child and infant, the boy had demonstrated traits and qualities uncharacterestic of that uniform society. The Stargazers, a long line of social outcasts, had ended with him... and even as the rest of society tried to reach out to him.. there was nothing that could be done.
  10. Because he couldn't learn as quickly, because his aptitudes weren't as high as the rest, he was discarded, shunned. By the time he was 3, he could recognize these things, and damn well didn't appreciate it. So the toddler had run away, escaped Atlantis... and of course, none of them had cared. He'd be dead on the surface anyways, and in that world, he had no value.
  11.
  12. On the surface of Braal, or Planet Vegeta as they called it, he cried alot. When he wasn't running from beasts, or trying desperately to find food, he sobbed, and weeped his existence. Everything in the world seemed so terrible and cruel...
  13. For a year, he struggled to survive.. and every night, he did what his clan of tuffles had always done-- looked to the stars, in admiration, in hope. Hope that someday they'd be among those stars, or travelling between them: free from the wretched society of Atlantis and of the living conditions on Vegeta. Sad none of their wishes had come true.
  14. And one particular night, as he witnessed a shooting star, Altan, too, had that very same wish. To be free from all this heartache. And as he thought about that, oh so desperately, he noticed the light of that shooting star began to shine brighter. It's tail, showing of it's movement across the sky, seemed to become smaller... he didn't realize it, but it was coming-- going to crash-land in his vicinity.
  15.
  16. After the explosive impact, come morning, the boy had begun investigatig the crash site.. and what he found was a dead Saiyan, in a pod. A disgusting site for a kid to see, but not fully understanding what had happened to the person, he took the body out and set it in a nearby cave. Covered it, like a person going to bed, and got into the pod.
  17. At this point, Altan had been taught about this basic technology beforehand, in Atlantis. A spacepod... in primitive shape too. As he got in, the pod door locked, and, carelessly pressing buttons, he was well on his way.. to somewhere. Somewhere, he thought, would be very far away from this terrible place.
  18.
  19. The force of lift-off took him by surprise, and he hit his head rather hard, having not taken the steps to secure himself with any seatbelts or anything. And as he was slowly falling unconscious, he could see the red, barren planet he'd just left behind. Planet Vegeta... and, reflected in the red window, his face... he hadn't seen a mirror in so long, he'd almost forgotte it. The boy felt tears run down his face, as he seemed so similar to that planet down below. Dirty tanned skin, vibrant red messy hair, and blue eyes of a sort... just like the ruined soil, the red atmosphere and the dirty waters of Vegeta.
  20.
  21. Unfortunately for him... waking up next time was not a pleasant experience. A violent tremor shook him to life--- the pod, having been on auto-pilot to an incertain destination nearly a weak ago-- was struck by a few rocks in the asteroid field around the Earth's solar system. The damage was too much, and it was slowly burning out.
  22. The boy tried his best to guide the pod to a nearby planet, but eventually the pod just couldn't sustain itself anymore. Engulfed in flames, Altan had to jump, because it was clear the pod would blow up either way, with or without him in it. As the pod erupted into flames, the force of the explosion propulsing Altan faster, he found himself fading in and out of consciousness once more.
  23.
  24. The sharp pain of impact with the ocean had reawoken him briefly, just long enough for him to resurface and roll into shore. Pain... had that been all he'd ever known?
  25. Another blackout, and he found strange creatures jabbing at him. In self-defense, despite his condition, the boy had gotten up and swatted the animals away. Limping now, the child had run off, trying to find shelter... truth be told, only the adrenaline had kept him going.. and eventually, he'd met Kara. And from that moment on, the boy had really thought Earth would be a paradise; one where he'd been finally saved from heartache. He was wrong.
  26.
  27. As he grew older, sparking the energy to a flame deep within him, he recognized the same treatment he'd gotten in Atlantis... not many people tolerated him, and those that did didn't seem to like him all that much either. If it weren't for those flames, the embodiment of his Ki and spirit, his heart surely would've gone cold-- frozen, and stopped beating. And all the events that followed suit only seemed to follow that... it was as if the universe itself demanded his suffering.
  28.
  29. Contrary to popular belief, he wasn't ignorant. He was aware many people suffered, but that just made it worse. When that saiyan boy Scourne had, without hesitation, decided to try and sacrifice him to the purple abomination, it was clear to him.. even if he couldn't formulate it into proper words. He hated this world... so much. A world where the weak were ignored, discarded... the different segregated and preyed upon... if he had had the words to say it back then, they would've come out like a volley. Much like the fate of the Earth, he too had been covered in erupting flames, now.
  30.
  31. At this time, in the Afterlife, those emotions, those experiences, came rushing back to him. His mind began to work once more, and his body seemed less cloud-like for the time being, though he still did not have his body back. A persistant frown was edged on his face, his ocean-blue eyes brightened up with a glow... He was no longer a mere ghost, but he was certainly the ghost of the shell he'd worn before; the clueless, innocent and happy-seeming boy he had been was now gone, violated by the flames. And in their wake... only one desire had been left; a violent craving establish his will, and grow, and scorch, and burn. Being in a timeless realm, Altan had delved into an almost permanent rage.
  32.
  33. For however long he would remain in the Checkpoint area, awaiting for the gods to deliver judgement upon his soul... The former-tsujin child would rampage about in his little corner, a long awaited tantrum. Seismic action could be felt, and any who laid eyes in that direction could clearly make out the titanic flames envelopping his area.
