  1. There was a huge political impact from the Crusades. Firstly, the King gained a lot of power from the Crusades, most of the time the vassals of the King would have more control over their area than the King had. People began focusing on the Crusades, and as the lords died their land would be given back to the King getting his control back. The Pope gained extreme power from the Crusades as he organized the Crusades. Many of the population before going on the Crusades would put their land on their will to give to the church if they died in battle. Which many of the people in the Crusades did as the death toll was around 2-6 million.
