[20:30] * Reise hums to herself as she exercises. She has the Pretty Lily Five discography playing through earbuds and is dressed in a sports bra, athletic shorts, and trainers, working up a sweat running, then hitting the weights and other low-impact machines.
[20:37] <Ikiryo> She spots a pair of bunny ears popping over the edge of an exercise machine. You know, if it wasn't for those ears Uytana would be pretty sneaky.
[20:39] <Reise> "What's up, Tara," she calls. It's annoying to keep using the name but so long as there's a mute ninja on board she's taking zero chances. "Want to join me?"
[20:41] <Ikiryo> Uytana pops up, blushing heavily as she watches Reise exercise. "Hello Reise..."
[20:44] <Reise> "Hey." She meanders over to a pull-up bar and grabs hold, starting to hoist herself up. "How've you been since the concert?"
[20:48] <Ikiryo> She does her best not to look at Reise. Not very well. "Umm...alright? I mean, Khaira gave me the cake you made with her...it was nice."
[20:49] <Reise> "Yeah? Good, glad to hear. She felt miserable about how the old one had disintegrated, you know."
[20:50] <Ikiryo> She nods. "Right. Umm...thank you for the cake. It was lovely."
[21:00] <Reise> "Welcome," she grunts, pulling her chin back over the bar. That's ten, and she keeps going.
[21:01] <Ikiryo> "Umm..." She looks a Reise, a little enviously.
[21:01] <Reise> Twelve. "Sup?" Thirteen.
[21:02] <Ikiryo> "...am I pretty?"
[21:10] <Reise> Sixteen. And then she hangs there, staring more or less contemplatively at Uytana, basically giving her a once-over from across the small gym. "Yeah, you're pretty hot. Why do you ask?"
[21:12] <Ikiryo> She blushes heavily. She's dressed in short shorts and a keyhole sweater, like usual. "Well...umm...at the concert..."
[21:13] <Reise> "At the concert..." she echoes, musing...and then she remembers, and blushes faintly, smiling. "Heh. Uh. Sorry about that. I...might have gotten a little carried away."
[21:13] <Ikiryo> "Oh, so it was just excitement?" She nods
[21:17] <Reise> "I mean, sort of? I was really excited and even you were having a good time, and I like enjoying things with friends, and you're hot and it was a good song and so I went for it." She looks away, clearly awkward, though the blush intensifies a bit.
[21:17] <Ikiryo> "...we are friends?" She seems suprised but not disapointed.
[21:18] <Reise> "Well, yeah," she says matter of factly--she even sounds confused that Uytana would question it. "Should...we not be?"
[21:19] <Ikiryo> "Well...I mean...you've done so much for me. I don't think I've done much to repay you...and you know what I am."
[21:21] <Reise> She drops from the bar and dusts her hands off. "Nah, I haven't done THAT much. And besides, I DO know who you are...and more importantly, who your dad was. And you ain't him and he ain't you so who he was doesn't matter to me." She shrugs. "As for repaying, well...friends don't have to repay each other. That's why they're friends."
[21:23] <Ikiryo> "Right..." She blushes more heavily. "I wish I did know how to repay you though..."
[21:25] <Reise> She waves it off. "Look...if you're really set on it, just...do something for yourself, kay? It'd mean the most to me to see you as happy all the time as you were at the Pretty Lily Five concert."
[21:26] <Ikiryo> "So I should do something I think would make me happy?" She raises an eyebrow, wandering over towards Reise.
[21:27] <Reise> "Yeah. I know you were thinking about keeping the bunny look, for example."
[21:28] <Ikiryo> "...I like being pretty." She nods. "I mean...you and Khaira are both very pretty...and I didn't feel out of place with you at the concert."
[21:30] <Reise> Another uncomfortable shrug. "Thanks, kid. I mean, I got lucky in the big gene lottery, but I do work to keep my figure" She gestures at the exercise equipment. "Khaira cheats more than anyone, being dead and all."
[21:31] <Ikiryo> "And a dryad." She nods.
[21:31] <Reise> "And a dryad, yes, another cheating advantage."
[21:33] <Ikiryo> "Anyway...I...umm...I like being pretty and..." She leans foward and tries to steal a kiss from Reise.
[21:34] <Reise> As Uytana is only slightly less obvious than an avalanche, Reise stays put and lets her--and, in fact, returns it, pressing back against her.
[21:36] <Ikiryo> She's not a particularly good kisser but she's enthusiastic.
[21:43] <Reise> After a long minute she draws back slowly, opening her eyes to watch the other eldarin; her lips are tingling. "I thought you were pretty before...y'know," she says, gesturing to the rabbit ears. "But I'm not your mom or anything...that would have made that really awkward, heh...so I can't tell you you can't stick with the ears and the curves."
[21:45] <Ikiryo> She blushes heavily. "...right...but...well..."
[21:45] <Reise> "Well?" she prompts, ducking her head slightly to keep the flighty girl's gaze locked with hers.
[21:46] <Ikiryo> "...I like being pretty and this...you kissed me like this..." She covers up her face and mumbles something Reise can't quite hear.
[21:56] <Ikiryo> She's as red as a tommato right now.
[21:58] <Reise> She chuckles awkwardly and looks away, scratching at a cheek. "I did, yeah..."
[21:59] <Ikiryo> She mumbles something again, too quiet to be heard.
[21:59] <Reise> "What?" She leans down, one sensitive ear closer to her.
[22:00] <Ikiryo> "...I envy how you are confident enough in yourself to do modeling and stuff..." She speaks again, a bit louder this time.
[22:03] <Reise> "Oh." She hesitates a moment...and then laughs. "Not always, kid. REALLY not always. I only got over myself like a week or two before you and I first met."
[22:04] <Ikiryo> "...what?"
[22:16] <Ikiryo> She looks very confused.
[22:16] <Reise> "So, you know how I'm a cop, right? I got sent here to Sigil to work undercover as a model to do an investigation. For a month I hated my boss because who WOULD be eager to prance around in their undies in front of a camera AND have people look at those images?"
[22:18] <Ikiryo> Uytana opens and closes her mouth...and blushes brilliantly.
[22:20] <Reise> "But then I sucked it up and got used to it...and then it wasn't so bad. Helped that I had someone like Krystal to show me the ropes--girl's a slut anyway so of *course* she's always in just her underwear, you know what I mean? So it worked out fine, and eventually it actually got kinda fun."
[22:20] <Ikiryo> "Itlooksabit..." She clamps her hand over her mouth.
[22:21] <Reise> She smirks. [It looks a bit?] she prompts, electronically that time, peer to peer so the Serpent's other occupants can't peek in.
[22:22] <Ikiryo> [...fun? I mean, you make it look fun...not that I could...I mean...]
[22:29] <Reise> [It is fun,] she says, moving and brushing just past her, skin on their arms touching briefly. [I think you totally could, too; there're some tricks, like just imagine that the camera isn't there and you're posing in front of your own mirror.]
[22:30] <Ikiryo> She nods. [...until recently, I tried to avoid mirrors. I didn't like the girl I saw there...]
[22:14] <Reise> [I don't know why not, 'cause I did, but hey, to each their own.] She heads back to a mat on the floor and lays down, knees bent, fingers laced behind her head. "Stand on my feet for me? Easier to do sit-ups that way."
[22:15] <Ikiryo> [Because I didn't want to be her. I wanted to be someone who...well...liked herself.] She does as instructed.
[22:20] <Reise> [There's ways to do that that you could have done, in my opinion, but like I said earlier--I'm not your mom or anything.] She starts doing crunches, and Uytana can see all the muscles in her bare midriff clench with each rep. [So whatcha gonna do when we get back to Sigil? Want to find your master again?]
[22:22] <Ikiryo> [You're not my mum...but I respect your opinion.] She sighs. "You don't find my Master. He turns up whenever he wants, wherever he wants. I wouldn't be suprised if I saw him on the ship at some point."
[22:26] <Reise> "Ah, he's one of /those/." She grunts again, up to sixteen, seventeen, eighteen. [Well, whatever makes you happiest, kid. Everyone deserves to be happy.]
[22:27] <Ikiryo> [...I'm not sure what would make me happiest] "One of those?"
[22:29] <Reise> Twenty-three, twenty-four. "The inscrutable, 'Look at how omniscient I am isn't it impressive' types," she comments, barely breathing hard. "They kind of drive me nuts just because it's like they're talking down to a kid. I'm young, but I'm no kid."
[22:31] <Ikiryo> "I think he cares less about looking impressive and more about looking insane. He likes when people think he's an idiot for some reason." She shrugs [...what do you think would make me happy? I don't know where to start]
[22:34] <Reise> [Honestly? I have no idea...you looked really happy at the concert, and when we kissed. Maybe those are a start. Keeping the bunny job might help? I'm a terrible person to ask that sort of question because I'm hilariously unqualified to give a working answer.]
[22:34] <Ikiryo> [...I had fun with both of those...] She blushes.
[22:36] <Reise> And fifty; she relaxes on the floor for a second and blows out a breath before shooing Uytana off of Reise's feet and standing up. [So did I.]
[22:36] <Ikiryo> Reise blushes harder, moving back to talking. "You...you had fun...with...both?"
[22:39] <Ikiryo> *Uytana
[22:41] <Reise> "Yep." She gives the disguised eldarin a grin, then taps her chin while she looks for something else to use...and aims for a treadmill.
[22:44] <Ikiryo> "Even the...k..." She trails off.
[22:49] <Reise> "Yes, even that~" she smirks, setting the machine to a brisk jog and climbing on...and giving Uytana a perky, bouncy show.
[22:53] <Ikiryo> Uytana goes to say something...and gets rather distracted
[22:54] * Reise hides a giggle and keeps going; while the effect on Uytana is somewhat funny to her, she does need some good cardio to round out her workout.
[22:56] <Ikiryo> Uytana just sort of stands there, stunned and biting her lip.
[23:04] <Reise> She finishes up the run after a while and slows the treadmill to a cooldown walk, then stops and gets off, gently using her thumb to pull Uytana's lip from between her teeth. "Careful with that--don't wanna bite it too hard, or I'll have to kiss it better~"
[23:06] <Ikiryo> She looks very tempted to bite it very hard. "C-Can you help me exercise a bit?"
[23:10] <Reise> "Sure thing. I can give you some pointers to start with, do some spotting, but just know that you're not gonna get anything out of it if I have to do all the work."
[23:11] <Ikiryo> She nods. "Right. I...I know that."
[23:16] <Reise> "Alright. Step one: get changed. I've got some stuff you can squeeze into, if it'll work with, y'know." She gestures at her. "I don't think the sweater's gonna work very well for working out."
[23:17] <Ikiryo> "Right...I'll try? I mean, as long as it's not too covering it might work." She flushes.
[23:18] <Reise> She gestures to herself. Honestly, at the moment the blonde is showing more skin than Uytana.
[23:18] <Ikiryo> "...right." She nods
[23:28] <Reise> "C'mon." She pulls Uytana to the lockers, where she digs a second set of the same lightweight workout clothes and hands them to her. She pushes the shy girl into a solo room and lets her dress; when Uytana comes out, she's actually still dressed much like Reise...except the shorts are shorter, cut higher on the hip to resemble a thong, and the neck of the sports bra dips even lower still--she threatens to spill right out.
[23:29] <Ikiryo> Uytana blushes heavily. "Do I look alright?"
[23:29] <Reise> "Good enough to eat, kid," she grins. "I might drag you along to model one of these days~"
[23:31] <Ikiryo> "R-really?" She sounds terrified but happy at the same time.
[23:36] <Reise> "Why not? We've got an entire line that you would be an absolute *perfect* model for--and it might even look like I'm teasing, but I promise I'm not."
[23:37] <Ikiryo> "R-really?"
[23:37] <Ikiryo> "...sorry for repeating myself."
[23:39] <Reise> "Nah, you're fine. C'mon, let's get to the equipment."
[23:40] <Ikiryo> She nods, following Reise.
[23:42] * Reise leads her over to do some warmups, then basic weight work, coaching her through it all the while.
[23:43] <Ikiryo> Uytana is...not very fit. Apparently the needles didn't make her any more fit than before. On the other hand, she's pushing herself as hard as she can.
[23:58] <Ikiryo> She's clearly doing her best to force herself through whatever Reise tries to get her to do.
[23:59] <Reise> "Relax, kid, you don't have to win any medals for today." She pats her on the shoulder in between exercises. "If you want to stop, just say."
[00:00] <Ikiryo> She shakes her head. "I want to be healthier, like you."
[00:03] <Reise> "It's not an instant process, believe me. I've been doing this since I was about half my age."
[00:08] <Ikiryo> "Still..." She bites her lip.
[00:09] <Reise> "We'll get you there, don't worry. Not like this is a one-time thing; once we're back home we'll keep you going." She nods. "Want to continue or are you too worn out for now?"
[00:10] <Ikiryo> "A little more? Maybe something easy like the treadmill?"
[00:21] <Reise> "Sure." She nods, getting Uytana set up on it with the machine set to slightly faster than a brisk walk--she'll have to walk fast or resort to jogging.
[00:21] <Ikiryo> She starts jogging...watching out of the corner of her eye at Reise.
[00:23] <Reise> The blonde's attention is fairly well captured...and not by watching Uytana's face for signs of fatigue.
[00:24] <Ikiryo> She does her best to keep going, jiggling all the way...
[00:27] * Reise nearly misses when Uytana's steps start to falter, and she hurriedly slows the machine down to a walk, her own cheeks flushed.
[00:30] <Ikiryo> Uytana pants slightly, putting her arms around the stronger girl. She honestly did a lot better than Reise expected she would.
[00:31] * Reise holds her up in a loose hug and helps her step off the treadmill. "You did real good there, c'mon, keep breathing, stay loose; worst thing you want to happen is to start tightening up."
[00:32] <Ikiryo> She nods, hugging Reise. "Yay..." She sounds very tired.
[00:37] <Reise> "Alright, alright." She pats her on the back, still holding Uytana up as she guides her to a bench to sit down. "Catch your breath, then we can clean up and get you some rest, kay?"
[00:37] <Ikiryo> She nods...and tries to steal another kiss.
[00:40] <Reise> She actually catches Reise by surprise with it that time...but the blonde doesn't flee, either.
[00:41] <Ikiryo> She's tired and not very good at it but she tries.
[00:46] <Reise> After a few seconds, she pulls back. "Alright, you. Time for rest. C'mon." She hoists Uytana up and helps her limp out of the gym and back to her quarters.
[00:47] <Ikiryo> She nods. "Reise?"
[00:47] <Reise> "Yeah?" She glances over.
[00:48] <Ikiryo> "Thank you."
[00:49] <Reise> She pauses, then smiles gently. "Any time, kid."
