LOVECRAFTIAN SERVANT RACE
- Basic concept involves the hex and shoggoths.
- Species was created as servants and workers but at one point abandoned; they have since continued on autonomously and mutated away from the standardized template model.

- Humanoid in form, but highly morphic; individuals can control and shift their musculature and distribution of body mass with ease over short periods of time. Forming extra limbs or protusions is possible given enough raw biomass to form them from.
- Digestion is incredibly efficient, rapidly reducing biomass down into energy or usable mass in a short amount of time. Proper diet requires traces of various metallic compounds to function.
- Skin is thick, rubbery, and very flexible.
- Lack bones; bodies are held together by surface cohesion and complex internal webbing (which doubles as a neural net).
- Primary sense is sound; skin serves as a sensitive auditory receptor and they are capable of basic echolocation. Eyes are more simplistic, but can be formed easily and are not bound to any particular configuration.
- Form mouths as needed, but tend not to unless they are eating or defending themselves. Teeth can also be formed externally as barbs.

- Colouration varies; tend towards monochrome patterning with geometric, blocky patterns displayed across their skin.

- Society is autonomous but carries a sort of "cargo cult" retention of old directives and habits; mannerisms are all imitative of their creators, settlements are all built with a high-quality but uninhabited core, and much of their production is simply put into storage or immediately recycled.
