  12. ------
  13. Okay, more Alt Yandere Charlie coming now. Part 9
  14.
  15. >It's been 3 days since your latest visit to the hotel
  16. >Despite the mark on your wrist burning up every now and then, not much happened
  17. >But you still had your guard up, if anything your were more alert now that Charlie hasn't been summoning you.
  18. >Once again you found yourself in Garret's office.
  19. >In your pocket was the device you found in the hotel
  20. >You listened to it and found it was some ghost hunting tool, if the voice recordings were anything to go by.
  21. >"You still look pretty tired Anon, you some kind of insomniac?"
  22. "Nope, not really. Just nightmares."
  23. >"What kind of nightmares, if you don't mind me asking?"
  24. "Well you know, from my time at the hotel, that whole thing you know?"
  25. >"You ever get help? Did you ever see a therapist about that?"
  26. "My friend Cameron had a degree in counseling and I talked to her about some of it, does that count?"
  27. >"Maybe, do you still see her?"
  28. "Disappeared in August, her missing person's poster is hanging in the lobby."
  29. >"Oh, THAT Cameron. right. Now, speaking of the hotel, did you ever see anything.....strange up there?"
  30. >You paused.
  31. >Did he really ask that?
  32. "What do you mean?"
  33. >"During your stay, did you see anything strange, like any kind of supernatural crap? Doors opening and closing on their own, floating objects, apparitions, anything?"
  34. >You weren't liking where this was going, so you lied
  35. "Can't say I have, why are you asking?"
  36. >"Oh, it's just that Greg, latest victim, he was a paranormal investigator. He actually went to the hotel after you went, watched it last night and got curious, that's all."
  37. "Well, what'd you see in it?"
  38. >"Not much, it cut out in the middle, when he went to the crime scene, strangely enough he did lose one of his devices while he was investigating, some EVP thingy, you know what I'm talking about right?"
  39. "Oh yeah, sure. Where did he lose it?"
  40. >You felt for the device you found in your pocket, briefly as not to attract any attention
  41. >"The basement"
  42. -
  43. >You internally screamed, trying not to break or turn on said EVP device in your pocket.
  44. >"I think that may have been the reason why he went back to the mountain, to try and find it or something. It could have some voices on it, you think?"
  45. >Oh it did alright
  46. >You listened to it, turn it up loud enough and listen closely enough, and you'd hear the small whispers in the background
  47. >You heard them, well one, it asked about someone named Ryan
  48. >Wasn't Ryan short for B-
  49. >"Hold on a second, what's that there?"
  50. >The detective pointed towards your pocket, your hand partly in it.
  51. >"Take the hand out."
  52. >Fuck
  53. >He saw it didn't he?
  54. >He saw you holding it and was gonna question you about it.
  55. >Like why you had it? Or how you got it in the first place?
  56. >You didn't want to drag Garret into this mess, you saw first hand just how dangerous these beings were, you didn't want him to get hurt either, just for doing his job to.
  57. >Slowly, you raised your hand, and Garret held it closer to him.
  58. >"What's up with the tattoo?"
  59. "Tattoo?"
  60. >Your gaze met Garret's, who let go of your hand and pointed to the mark Charlie have you.
  61. "Oh that, yeah that was from a night of drinking and dumb choices."
  62. >"How long did you have it for?"
  63. "Not long, a few months after the hotel, some of my other friends wanted to keep me happy for the night that's all."
  64. >Garret nodded and went back to his chair.
  65. "So, you guys still haven't found anything yet for Mike, or any of the others?"
  66. >"I'm afraid not, we've been at it for over a week now, we never get cases this strange. This is the kind of crap tha'll bring in all those documentary film makers, all thinking they can do better then us real detectives."
  67. >He chuckled, then sat up straighter
  68. >"Anything else we could do for you kid?"
  69. "No, not really. I'd like to see that video if you could send it to me."
  70. >"Greg's? Well, I'll see. We did take it for evidence, but I could send you a copy perhaps. Maybe you could find something I didn't eh?"
  71. "Yeah, maybe."
  72. -
  73. >You got up, shook Garret's hand, and left the office.
  74. >You made it outside and checked your phone for the time
  75. >It was close to 5, and the sun had already started to set.
  76. >You stepped into your car, and checked the device you had
  77. >.......
  78. >You felt nothing
  79. >The EVP device was gone
  80. >You cursed silently as you exited the car and went back in the station.
  81. >You must've dropped it back by Garret's office.
  82. >No worry, you saw him leave the office to, so maybe you could sneak in and swipe it back.
  83. >You saw Garret pick something up from inside his office
  84. >It was the EVP device
  85. >He looked at you, then back down at the device.
  86. >He exited his office. And held the device in front of him
  87. >You'd been caught.
  88. >Well, only one thing left to do now then.
  89. >You turned around and began walking back to your car quickly.
  90. >"Kid, KID, HEY?!"
  91. >You nearly ran to your car but kept up your quick pace."
  92. >You stepped into the car, and quickly drove out just as Garret left the building.
  93. >After a moment of debate, you thought it best to wait a little bit before you went back home.
  94. >Sure, Garret couldn't hold you accountable for any crime other than supposedly having a dead man's EVP recorder, which he couldn't prove it was Greg's anyway.
  95. >Byt still, couldn't hurt to be careful.
  96. >So you went down to the grocery store for some quick shopping.
  97. >Then when you got back, lay low.
  98.
  99. >(P.O.V: Detective Garret)
  100. >Damn it
  101. >Anon just left, and you knew he heard you calling back at the station.
  102. >You looked down at the EVP recorder again
  103. >This was Greg's
  104. >It had to of been
  105. >You just knew it
  106. >"Everything okay Brian?"
  107. >The chief appeared by your side
  108. >"Whatcha got there also? You ain't stealing from our evidence bins are you?"
  109. "Oh no, that Anon kid dropped this, was gonna return it to him sometime later"
  110. >"Okay, if you say so."
  111. >You watched the chief walk away, before pocketing the device
  112. >You'd have to listen to it when you got home.
  113. >Then, maybe pay Anon a visit.
  114. -
  115. >(P.O.V: Anon)
  116. >You were at home and about to go to bed.
  117. >Since you got home, you hadn't had any unexpected visits from Garret.
  118. >Though this didn't mean you were in the clear, he had to of recognized the device
  119. >You were just getting changed into your pajamas when the phone range.
  120. >You picked up the phone read who it was
  121. >"Scam likely"
  122. >Against your better judgement, you answered it
  123. "Hello?"
  124. >"..........Anon?"
  125. >Shit
  126. >It was her
  127. >"I know your there Anon, you already answered."
  128. >fuck
  129. >"Don't be shy, I'm not even in your home, yet."
  130. "You're outside?"
  131. >"Think again, though I'm outside someone's house. Not yours yet."
  132. "Who?"
  133. >"I'd say but that's give away my spot wouldn't it?"
  134. >You kept your clothing on and left the apartment.
  135. "What do you want Charlie?"
  136. >"You of course, that's been my goal this whole time? Don't ell me you forgot."
  137. "And I'm pretty certain I've made my feelings towards you very clear. I don't want ANYTHING to do with you."
  138. >"You don't mean that do you?"
  139. "I do."
  140. >"No, I'm positive you don't, you haven't even given me a chance yet."
  141. "And you're not getting one."
  142. >Second mistake of the night, you hung up.
  143. >After putting your phone away. You went back in your apartment.
  144. >Your phone rang again, this time it was from Stacy.
  145. >This couldn't of been good, or not
  146. >Hoping for the later you answered
  147. "Stace? What's up?"
  148. >"Anon, come to my apartment please, someone's trying to break in."
  149. "What?"
  150. >"Someone's trying to break in, my lights are out and I'm hiding, the banging stopped a minute ago. I'm scared please hurry."
  151. "Stace, I'm coming, don't make a sound."
  152. >You heard her whimper through her phone
  153. "Stace?"
  154. >"The door.....it's opening...........wait, who the fuc-"
  155. >You heard Stacy scream as her attacker went at her
  156. "STACY?!"
  157. >The line went dead
  158. >So you did the only rational thing you could think of.
  159. >You ran down the steps in a full run, and went to your car
  160.
  161. Continuing tomorrow.
  162. -
  163. Continuing
  164. >You sped down the road like a mad man.
  165. >You were taking the road that had less traffic, so no police would see you coming hopefully.
  166. >As you drove, your phone rang.
  167. >Stacy was trying to FaceTime you
  168. >Without you even touching anything, the call answered
  169. >You saw Stacy tied up, everything around her was dark.
  170. >She looked up into the camera, her bruised face and teary eyes facing you.
  171. >"A...........Anon..........h-h-h"
  172. "STACE!!!"
  173. >The poor girl could barely utter a word.
  174. >Then you saw two red dots appear from the darkness behind her
  175. "NO, STAY AWAY FROM HER!!!"
  176. >You may as well have just stayed silent, the eyes moved closer to Stacy, and when they reached the light, Charlie was there, giving you a sadistic grin
  177. >"What do we have here? A stupid, mouth-breathing whore. One who has no idea what loyalty is, or that people have hearts."
  178. >She felt her check with the back of her hand, causing Stacy to flinch.
  179. >"Please......."
  180. >Charlie placed her gauntlet on the girl's shoulder.
  181. >Then as you looked closer, you saw that it had a saw blade in the middle
  182. >"So Anon, what should I do to her first? It's only appropriate that you decide what happens, think of it as you returning the favor for what she did."
  183. "I chose to LET HER FUCKING GO YOU PSYCHOPATH!!!"
  184. >You almost hit another car as you sped.
  185. >"Don't be like that Anon, she broke your heart, don't you want her to suffer?"
  186. "Hell no, she already apologized and that's it."
  187. >"Weeeellllll, I still want her to suffer, so that you know JUST how much I love YOU!!!"
  188. >Stacy uttered a weak "no" as you heard the saw blade rev up
  189. "NO, NOOO"
  190. >You looked away as you heard Charlie drag her blade down the girl's shoulder, the call going staticky and quieting Stacy's screams.
  191. >When you looked back, you saw that Charlie's gauntlet was now dripping with Stacy's blood.
  192. >"Did that hurt? Because there's a lot more where that came from slut."
  193. >Tears began running down Stacy's cheeks.
  194. -
  195. >You heard the sound of metal skin as Charlie sucker punched Stacy with her arm, adding a new bruise to her partially swollen face.
  196. >"Nuh uh, no crying yet. Or else I take your eyes."
  197. >Stacy began holding back her tears, her breathing quickened.
  198. >"Now then, time for me to get to the real fun"
  199. "Don't you dare, you bitch."
  200. >"Or what?"
  201. >Then the logical part of you was heard once again
  202. >What could you do?
  203. >You were pretty much delivering yourself to your doom by going to Stacy's apartment
  204. >But then again, you couldn't save Peter or James, least you fail Stacy on top of all that.
  205. >Charlie then frowned as she looked out the window
  206. >"You're getting close now, aren't you Anon. Well you know what they say, all things must come to an end."
  207. >She then turned to Stacy
  208. >"Say Stace? How about you help me relive my early years?"
  209. >Stacy gave Charlie a confused, but still terrified look
  210. >"W-W-What?"
  211. >"Oh it's a long, long story, but I wasn't always this. So, I'm going to go ham and slice you up, could you hold on for just a bit longer? Thanks."
  212. >Charlie raised her saw blade-gauntlet over her head.
  213. >And the call ended
  214. >Once again, you didn't press anything.
  215. >But you could already hear Stacy's screams in your head as she endured whatever kind of torture Charlie was enacting in her.
  216. >Then you saw it
  217. >Stacy's apartment building just up ahead.
  218. >You didn't even bother parking properly, you stopped the car and bolted out of the car towards the main entrance.
  219. >Once inside, you saw two officers talking with the receptionist. You overheard one of them mention a "noise complaint" before they turned and saw you
  220. >"Is everything okay sir?"
  221. >You didn't respond, you smashed your hand onto the elevator button. And when the doors didn't open, you ran to the steps.
  222. >The cops tailed you, knowing something was up, but you ignored them, it was all just noise at this point.
  223. >You reached Stacy's floor and noticed how quiet it was
  224. >No screams, yells, or anything.
  225. -
  226. >But you still ran, the sound of the cops footsteps sounding distant and far off.
  227. >You raced down the hall like an Olympic athlete down to Stacy's room
  228. >You tried turning the knob, only to find the door was locked.
  229. >You began kicking at the door to break it open, still not registering the cops trying to speak to you.
  230. >A few kicks later, the door opened.
  231. >The whole apartment was dark, the hallway light being the only source of light you had
  232. >That didn't stop you from hurrying inside, and frantically looking for your ex
  233. "STACY, STACY?!?!"
  234. >You turned to where you thought her bedroom door was, and barged into the bedroom
  235. >With your light being made dimmer, the most you could make out, was a blood splatter in the bottom of the bed
  236. >You rushed in and felt the bed
  237. >There was a body in it.
  238. >A few seconds later, you had your phone's flashlight on and beaming at Stacy.
  239. >Most of her body was cut at and sliced. A nasty slash mark stuck out on her right cheek.
  240. "Stacy?"
  241. >No reply
  242. >You tried shaking her, but she didn't move
  243. >Then turned to the side of her bed, and saw two red dots glaring at you
  244. >The two of you stared into each other's eyes briefly, Charlie then disappeared afterwards.
  245. >Putting your finger to Stacy's neck, you discovered that she still had a pulse
  246. >And when you listened closely, you heard her breathing, albeit faintly.
  247. >You hugged your ex, and felt the beams from two other flashlights blind you.
  248. >The two cops stood in the doorway, one of them began radioing in for back up while the other turned lights on.
  249. >Minutes went by, but eventually an ambulance arrived, and you followed them to the hospital.
  250. >You found yourself in the waiting room, hoping to hear some good news on Stacy's condition
  251. >So far none of her family was there yet, understandable, since most of them lived out of state.
  252. >Since you found her, you barely thought at all, the world around you becoming a blur.
  253. >Then you felt someone place their hand in your shoulder.
  254. -
  255. >You turned and saw Detective Garret standing next to you
  256. >He took a seat next to you, and stayed silent.
  257. >"I uh........heard about what happened.......sorry about your girlfriend there."
  258. "Ex-girlfriend.............she was breathing when the took her, that was at least half an hour ago I think."
  259. >Garret nodded.
  260. >"You okay there?"
  261. "Not really, the bastard got away, they face timed me to, I tried showing the other cops but the film got all staticky, not that they think I did this. Two cops saw me running to her apartment room from the lobby."
  262. >Garret nodded again, before digging around in his coat pocket.
  263. >"You dropped this in my office earlier, and when you ran it confirmed my suspicions about what it was."
  264. >He held the EVP device
  265. "................."
  266. >"I didn't listen to any of it yet, bet you did though. I've got the video, and you the audio, well, recorded audio."
  267. "............"
  268. >"Anon, talk to me here, where'd you get it."
  269. "........take a guess........"
  270. >"The hotel?"
  271. >You nodded
  272. >"You haven't been there in months, how would-"
  273. "I didn't, didn't even want to go back anyway."
  274. >"Kid, I'm having a hard time understanding you, how'd you go there if you've-"
  275. "Of course you dont, none of you would understand it, even if I told you full story you wouldn't believe it."
  276. >"You mean to tell me that you were giving us bullshit about what happened to you at the hotel?"
  277. >"I gave you half of the truth, I didn't want to get tutored into a goddamn asylum after going to hell and back, literally."
  278. >Before Garret could answer, you cut him off.
  279. >"Look Garret, I understand you want answers, but this isn't worth it, this is all bugger than you, me, and everything else. I thought I left all this shit back in Colorado in that run down piece of shit resort."
  280. >You wiped some sweat from your forehead
  281. "Guess I wasn't lucky, am I right?"
  282. >The two of you remained silent, until the doctor came in and gave an update to the situation.
  283. -
  284. >"Okay, good news is that Stacy is going to be okay. She's injured pretty badly, but we believe she'll be able to make a full recovery in a month. She should be out of here in less that 2 weeks however."
  285. "How is she right now?"
  286. >"She's asleep now, come back tomorrow during visiting hours."
  287. >And with that, the doctor left, and you began to leave when Garret blocked you
  288. >"Kid, I don't know what the fuck you went through at the resort, but whatever it was, I want to know"
  289. "I already said that you wouldn't believe me."
  290. >"I know, but it'll be off the record, I promise that no one else will hear it. Just tell me what the hell is going on Anon."
  291. "Why? It's not like any of us could do anything about it. Trust me on this, you really don't want to know."
  292. >"Because people are dying kid, I'm not sure if you know this, but 3 people were found dead in different places yet died the same way. And over in Colorado, over a dozen dead bodies were found outside the resort town's police station. And guess who they are? They think their the victims that weren't found during the original cliff side killings."
  293. >After hearing this you perked up.
  294. >"You may think that this is all pointless and hopeless or whatever, but my job as a detective is to keep people safe, and find these sick fucks and make sure they don't ever hurt anyone else. So help me for the sake of my goddamn job and for everyone else."
  295. >You didn't say anything
  296. >It stayed like that for 30 seconds.
  297. >Then you looked at the detective
  298. "Fine. So where are we going now."
  299. >"My place, you follow me kid."
  300. >A few minutes later you found yourself in Garret's home.
  301. >The place was pretty nice and well kept.
  302. >You followed him to his living room, and you two sat down on his couch.
  303. >"You want anything to drink kid?"
  304. "You're the one whose going to need a drink for this detective."
  305. >The man poured himself a glass of whiskey and sat.
  306. >"You sure"
  307. "100%, this is going to be a hell of a ride, so you better be prepared."
  308. -
  309. >(P.O.V: Charle)
  310.
  311. >You laid down in your bed, cold and alone
  312. >Your gauntlet sat in its case, clean and perfectly spotless.
  313. >Tonight you yet again tried to sure your love to Anon by brutalizing the wench that ruined his trust and life
  314. >And yet, he still didn't like you anymore, still despised you and your actions.
  315. >All you wanted was his love, was that too much?
  316. >Sure, you did try to butcher his ex, but she deserved it, right.
  317. >Even now, the memory of hurting her didn't ease you
  318. >Strangely enough, it made you feel worse.
  319. >You weren't a softie or anything, but that whole scene was pathetic, not in a good way for you either.
  320. >So as you drifted off, you plotted for how to catch Anon the next time you summoned him
  321. >Eventually you'd tire him out, soon all this running and hiding would be too much.
  322. >And when he does finally break, you'll be there waiting in open arms.
  323. >Because you loved him, even if he didn't love you back.
  324.
  325.
  326. That'll be it for now. Goodnight everyone.
