Every morning I woke up with a shout
Getting up I had to run about
Getting dressed for the weekend to come

She would always speak to me
Wondering what is wrong
I said back to her, mother, don't worry
I'm coming around

All these people are my friends
From Jack to Jim, and Jekyl and Hyde
Believe it when I say
All these people are my friends
And no one can replace them

So tired and lonely all my life
I have my friends to accompany
Breathing fire from my mouth
I am the dragon that never sleeps
Hunting mice and things that are nice
For an hour to feel alright

Every night I went to bed
I could not fall asleep
Maybe the man was becoming fed
Or maybe I just needed to fade
Fade away to another day
Because I am the dragon that never sleeps
In all my misthought misery weeps
