Most of your questions can probably be answered by just using CTRL-F on one of the previous threads, or just reading the official website Reboot notes. Don't be stupid about it.

Reboot is a new server released in global Maplestory. It makes an effort to reduce the pay2win factor in official servers by centralizing the game around getting the ingame currency and using that to get gud. The economy is fixed by removing it entirely (no trading, no free market).
Scrolling is removed entirely, and Cubes (which are used to reset potential options on your equipment) can be purchased in the cash shop using Mesos. NX Cash is still present, but can only be used to purchase cosmetic effects and pets.
(Pets are a nigh necessity in Reboot though, with how entirely godawful the loot system is and how important mob drops are now.)

Most every class is viable nowadays, so just main whatever class looks the most fun to you. Shit's all homogenized at this point anyways. (the dpm chart that gets tossed around is shit, so don't bother with that either.)

Dump all your AP into your main stat, or use Auto-Assign. There's no difference.
Point distribution is incredibly hard to fuck up. As a guideline, max out passives, buffs, and any skills that are prerequisites for the next job skills. Order doesn't matter for fourth job, since you'll max everything by 140.
For Hyper Stats, Damage and Boss Damage give the most damage. Min/Max Crit Damage, Crit Rate, and IED are nice too.
Point investment per level ramps up a lot after level 7, so just spread out after reaching that level.

Hilla is a level 120 boss that has a low chance of dropping a 90 day Blackheart Pet. Urus is coming out soon too, and he'll have a 7 day pet that you can grind out.
