- Description: Both Akins used to work at the Steak ‘n Shake as cooks, but A.Akins was fired, and O.Akins quit after he was passed up for promotion. They planned the robbery for a month before, and targeted Sunday, the only day their uncle Ronald wouldn’t be working. The night they struck, the restaurant was closed for extermination work and the doors were unlocked. O.Akins confronted Tammy at the front of the store and, without saying a word, shot her 6 times, including twice in the head. He then took Mark into the walk-in freezer and shot him once in the back of the head. They got $173 from the cash register.
