  1. 0) Name, Rank, Serial Number, Location.
  2.
  3. REDACTED, NOT THAT IT MATTERS.
  4.
  5. 1) Profile. Fill in the data for your +finger (+help +finger) if you are an OC or are an FC who wishes to make changes.
  6.
  7. Race:Cyborg.
  8.
  9. Faction: Versus.
  10.
  11. Function: Daydreaming Researcher
  12.
  13. Quote: "Well, what people don't understand about Alan Turing is that, you know, he was basically the best at robots."
  14.
  15. Profile: Adi Kaz (call her Kaz) is likeable enough. She's gregarious but not terribly good at it, a little bit clumsy, and very, very good at Navi research, which has netted her a position in the ultra-prestigious Light Labs. She's the sort of person that will gladly talk your ear off about her work but will be mostly stymied if you mention any form of media produced in the last year or so. Still, she's a very passionate sort of person, very interested in human-Reploid relations and fully Sarabande-equipped.
  16.
  17. Skills: Socialization -2, Outsource Literally Everything, Occationally Dreams of Electric Sheep, Define "Cyborg", All Robots Are Cute, Long-Winded Rants About Cycles Or Something, Getting Involved In Things She Shouldn't, Long-Winded Rants about Alan Turing, Cat Lady But With Weak AI, Long-Winded Rants About Things Nobody Cares About, Social Media In Her Head, Two Followers, Beep Boop What Are Feelings?
  18.
  19. 2) Describe your character's physical appearance. Are they human-form, animal-form, or some other 'form'? A paragraph or two is fine.
  20.
  21. Two arms, two legs, a torso and a head add up to almost two meters of mostly-unassuming human. Short black hair tops a well-tanned face with gray eyes that brim with a fire of curiosity and excitement and dart from object to object. Her features are smooth and rounded. She wears an immaculately pressed and starched labcoat over a dark collared shirt and pressed gray slacks.
  22.
  23. 3) What is the character's origin story and history?
  24.
  25. Adi Kaz likes to say that she was born a cyborg. In truth, she spent a fitful few hours with a dangerously arythmmic heart before the artificial pacemaker was installed, restoring her to nearly perfect health in short order. Her mother was a brilliant lawyer, her father was a brilliant surgeon, and she was an exceptionally brilliant child. Adi grew up pensive and absentminded, the kind of person who routinely crashed into objects while walking. Her reception by her peers was more-or-less neutral-- she was polite and smart, but found holding conversations exceedingly difficult and so she rarely bothered. Over the course of her studies, she became facinated with the functioning of Navi, and started tinkering with them as she ended high school.
  26.
  27. Her last year of high school was the putative end of the world, incidentially. Time spent huddled in a bunker fairly convinced that she was going to die wound up yielding two notably posative side effects in addition to the requisate mental trauma. First, she completed her work on the first version of her heavily-customized taskmaster Navi, Turing, which became largely responsible for her no longer running into poles and forgetting appointments.
  28.
  29. Second, she obtained rudimentary social skills. The cure to her social ineptitude, it seemed, was giving her a computer that took care of the minutae of her life and forcing her into close contact with a group of other people for several months on end. It was during this period that she obtained a goal worth striving towards. She saw how the crisis brought humans and robots together-- but also the walls that existed between them even in moments of pure strife, even between the robots and a girl who seemed to live to work with machines. She decided that the onus was on her to knock down these walls.
  30.
  31. Shortly after the end of Ragnarok, she had extensive, and expensive neutral hardware installed, giving her Navi increasing access to her senses and thoughts. However, the primary purpose of the upgrade was to give her about the most faithful Saraband experience possible for anyone born human. Her connection to the network bolstered her ability to interact with the ubiquitous Saraband-equipped Reploids, and as a fringe benefit further contributed to her outsourcing intellectual processes to free up space to program. She rocketted through college, obtaining a prestigious and lucrative degree in Navi research, and was offered a well-paying Light Labs research job that served to deter her from graduate school.
  32.
  33. 4) What is your character's personality? Discuss here things like their likes and dislikes, their goals, and their feelings about other groups (factions).
  34.
  35. Generally speaking, Kaz is rarely all there. While there exists an illusion of her becoming more present in the world that surrounds her, this is the result of clever manipulation of computer technology. There is always some abstract part of her mind thinking about code, and a lot of the time that part of her mind is /all/ of her mind. This makes her a tremendously good researcher but a reletively terrible drinking buddy, for all her attempts at blossoming into a cross-species social butterfly. She's simply, on a very deep level, more immediately concerned with CPU load than people's emotions. This doesn't insulate her from a deep need for acceptance that awoke in her during Ragnarok-- far from it, the part of her mind that's not concerned with programing is often concerned by anxiety and nervousness during every interaction, and she relies increasingly heavily on Turing to provide socially-acceptable conversation pathways, and on the deep mental unity of Saraband to smooth over her lack of tact.
  36.
  37. Regarding the other factions:
  38.
  39. She probably doesn't know what Grave is, and if she does she certainly doesn't approve of the chessboard illuminati dipping their hands in everything.
  40.
  41. Greymalkin kill people for a living which isn't something Kaz is terribly fond of.
  42.
  43. Kaz's goals align heavily with those of the Irregulars, but she finds herself somewhat put-off by the spiritual beliefs common to the group. Not that they care.
  44.
  45. While Kaz is sympathetic towards the Nephilim's desire to melt down all the guns and stop fighting each other twenty-four seven, she's less keen on the whole "do this with extreme prejudice" aspect.
  46.
  47. Like many others, Kaz is fairly strongly opposed to the pseudo-facism of the Ouroboros by virtue of it being pseudo-facism.
  48.
  49. The Robot Masters keep on killing people and are also heavily reprogrammed in an assault on automonmy that Kaz will never find acceptable in any way.
  50.
  51. Kaz mostly just takes Star Force for granted. She's glad they exist, to combat the various facists and terrorists and what-not that plague the world, but at the end of the day they're millitary and she mostly streamlines Navi and daydreams about robots.
  52.
  53. From what she understands of it, Kaz, clearly, thinks that Versus is the bee's knees. She likes science and spooky espionage and idealistic crusades to improve society more than just about anything else!
  54.

  121.
  122. I'll do this later (naming attacks is hard) but the justifications kind of boil down to "drones with guns installed, holograms, electromagnets".
