  9. FRANK MORANO
  10. Oh! Randy Credico is on the line! Credico is on the line? Okay. Well- So- Randy, good morning. Only two hours after our scheduled time to speak. How are you?
  11.
  12. RANDY CREDICO
  13. Yeah, well, you know, these are troubled times. I have a hard time sleeping, and when I do, I sleep for like a week.
  14.
  15. MORANO
  16. Now, Randy, we don't have very much time here, but I do want to ask you a little bit about what we're hearing-
  17.
  18. CREDICO
  19. I'm in big demand, by the way.
  20.
  21. MORANO
  22. I know you are! I know you are! First tell us-
  23.
  24. CREDICO
  25. You have Charles Manson on the phone, basically.
  26.
  27. MORANO
  28. Exactly. So, tell us first, Randy, you've interviewed on your radio show, on WBAI, Julian Assange, the founder of Wikileaks, many times, now...you just went to visit him, for the first time. What was that like?
  29.
  30. CREDICO
  31. It was great. Actually, I visited him...twice. This year. The first time was in September, and then, two weeks ago, I spent two days with him. Inside the Ecuadorian embassy- It's a very quaint embassy, and the food next door in Harrods is very expensive, fish n chips, is like forty bucks, and that's what he prefers. Seafood. And orange juice. So, it's like going to Club 21 here. But they- it's nice because he's a very brilliant individual. He's the most wanted man by the intelligence community of the United States, and to get in there and talk to him- He's a brilliant, one of the most brilliant guys I've ever- individuals I have ever met. It's just- It's amazing. It's like being in with a prof- The guy's like fifteen years younger than I am. But he's very smart, and he's very resilient, and he has a lot of fortitude. And it's very impressive, I must say, he's a very impressive individual, that he continues to crank out stuff. It reminds me of, here in the [coughs] 19th century, there was a fellow in- in Missouri, by the name of Elijah Lovejoy, whose brother was Owen Lovejoy, Elijah Lovejoy was an abolitionist newspaper man, and every time he put out a paper, the Southern pro-slavery Missourians would destroy his machine. His printing press. But he continued and continued, till finally they broke it up and killed him.
  32.
  33. MORANO
  34. Alright. Well Randy, we only have a couple of minutes left here-
  35.
  36. CREDICO
  37. OH! I thought I was on till the end of the hour.
  38.
  39. MORANO
  40. Yeah. No no no, we only have a couple of minutes. And then we gotta run, but- let me- maybe we can get you in the studio, and maybe we'll have you for the full hour because there's a lot I want to pick your brain on, _but_ - big story in the New York Times, "Comedian" - that's you - "Subpoenaed in Inquiry on Russian Meddling" [link: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/29/us/politics/comedian-is-subpoenaed-in-inquiry-on-russia-meddling.html ], the-
  41.
  42. CREDICO
  43. Where's that? I didn't see that.
  44.
  45. MORANO
  46. Well- It was November 29th. So- So- Evidently, you have been subpoenaed to testify before the House Intelligence Committee, is that true? Did you receive the subpoena?
  47.
  48. CREDICO
  49. Yes. I have the subpoena, yes.
  50.
  51. MORANO
  52. And so-
  53.
  54. CREDICO
  55. It's on December 15th, I get to go, my big Christmas present.
  56.
  57. MORANO
  58. Wow! It's gonna be worth the price of-
  59.
  60. CREDICO
  61. Would you like to have half of it?
  62.
  63. MORANO
  64. [laughs] Naw! But- So- According to the Time article, a person familiar with what the House uh House Intelligence Committee is doing, said that you had been identified as the intermediary between Roger Stone and Julian Assange. The founder of Wikileaks. Can you tell us if that's true?
  65.
  66. CREDICO
  67. I can't- Uh I don't know if that's the case, if I was the Santa Claus, that went into the chimney and got all the emails of Hillary Clinton, and John Podesta, dropped them off in Miami, at Roger's abode. From the embassy. So, you know- But we'll find out. It's an interesting- interesting allegation, isn't it?
  68.
  69. MORANO
  70. It certainly is interesting. So, you're- you're definitely not denying, you're not saying that it's _not_ true.
  71.
  72. CREDICO
  73. Yes, I'm the same guy that did- whatshisname's voice, uuuuuuuh Eliot Spitzer's father. Called him up at three in the morning.
  74.
  75. MORANO
  76. Right. If people don't remember what Randy's talking about, Roger- [reference to when Roger Stone made a threatening phone call to Eliot Spitzer's father, and claimed that it was, in fact, Credico; despite this, the two men were reconciled enough that Credico would run as senator on the Anti-Prohibition Party ticket in 2011; the APP was established by Stone, and he ran the APP campaign of Kristin Davis for governor; audio of the phone call and a clip of Stone's voice for comparison can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDtfEK4Bzto ]
  77.
  78. CREDICO
  79. It takes a whole hour, Fred- uh Frankie. Takes a whole hour to get through all of this. Now, I am- They...no. I don't know, I haven't seen anything but the letter, from the...House committee. To just testify about Russia-gate. Says that I'm the guy, I don't know if you see uuuuuh Bullwinkle and- "Rocky and Bullwinkle", I'm Boris. And my girlfriend Natasha, we were in London, and we got a whole bunch of emails, and we dropped them off with our Russian agent in Miami, Florida.
  80.
  81. MORANO
  82. Well- So-
  83.
  84. CREDICO
  85. YOU GOTTA LAUGH AT THIS! C'MON, FRANK!
  86.
  87. MORANO
  88. I'm- [forced laugh] I'm trying. Alright, Randy, we gotta run, I'm sorry we didn't have much time-
  89.
  90. CREDICO
  91. Imagine if we had a full hour together, how we could play with this.
  92.
  93. MORANO
  94. I'm just afraid uh you know, I'm afraid to schedule it, because you- it might end up, you'll show up in the afternoon. So. We'll see what happens.
  95.
  96. CREDICO
  97. Well, listen, at least I did show up.
  98.
  99. MORANO
  100. That's for sure. That's for sure.
  101.
  102. CREDICO
  103. I'm sorry I wasn't there at three o'clock. But if you had...if you had a letter, with Adam Schiff's name on it, right? And all these other big shots, from the House committee, and they're very serious, all this stuff from Flynn and everything, you get one of those, it would interrupt your sleeping pattern, wouldn't it?
  104.
  105. MORANO
  106. That's for sure. Absolutely. Without a doubt, Randy-
  107.
  108. CREDICO
  109. Well, that's what it did to me!
  110.
  111. MORANO
  112. I gotcha, Randy. Thank you very very much, and I hope we can chat before your testimony before the House Intelligence Committee. That's Randy Credico, a satirist. Who you can hear regularly on Pacifica radio stations around the country. And who claims to now be drug free.
