  4. It looks like High Point Scientific has very little experience when it comes to dealing with LARGE customers, such as universities who are trying to make a purchase. We received the following response:
  5. "We are unable to accept your order at this time due to payment verification concerns. As a result, we have cancelled your order and voided any authorization associated with it. Should you choose to purchase from High Point Scientific in the future please do so using a verified method of payment such as verified PayPal. We also require the shipping address to match the billing address associated with the account. Thank you, - High Point Scientific [name](by Vincent)[/name]"
  6. Who are you kidding. As a university serving over 20,000 enrolled students we are huge and our campus straddles several acres. The billing and shipping addresses will NEVER match since we have various administrative entities, such as accounts payable, housed in different areas of the campus. We also have a departmental mailing address for small mail and a different address for receiving large shipments, which goes to our internal mail distribution department. In addition, our purchasing system is different than individuals who are buying from you. Often purchase orders need to be generated and vendors need to be vetted to meet compliance with our purchasing standards. Therefore the statement to use a verified paying method, such as paypal seems rather far fetched. For smaller purchases (under $5,000) we have corporate issued purchase "credit" cards. If these are not a good enough verified payment methods, than I don't know what to tell you. My bottom line of the purchasing experience with High Point Scientific: LARGE purchasers be aware!!!
