- Super Wild Card SMS3201 USER'S GUIDE
- Chapter 1: Hardware Installation
- Super Wild Card is Magicom version 2. Its function is stronger than Super Magicom and can play Ramna 2.... To understand how to instal Super Wild Card into "Super Famicom" (tm) or "Super Nintendo" (tm) please follow the instructions:
- 1.1 Hardware requirements - Super Famicom or Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). - One Original Super Famicom cartridge. (anyone games) Remark: in NTSC system. We have auto start function. In europe please adjust min jumper from position 1,3,5 to 2,4,6 use cartridge start. - 3.5" 2HD disk drive have been built in. So you need a strong power adaptor which can suply 10v & 1.2A (or above) DC output. We suggest you using Sega-use power adapter.
- 1.2 Installing the Super Wild Card Now you are ready to install the interface card (device) to super famicom.
- A. Insert "Super Wild Card" to the cartridge position.
- B. Insert origonal cartridge to the slot of "Super Wild Card"- If you did'nt insert original cartridge to Super wild Card it may not work if you're in Europe.
- C. On the back of your Super wild Card there is a 25 pin D Jack to link to your Computer via the parallel port.
- D. Now turn on the Super NES/Famicom, on screen you see the menu.
- E. Now you can test our product, use <-,-> on D-pad to select icon.
- F. In main menu it has sub-menu icons, they are Super wild Card, Disk Manager, Magic finger (cheat code function) and Cartridge (will only show if you have a cartridge in the slot on your Super Wild Card.
- Chapter 2. How to use your Super wild Card menus.
- Super wild Card Utility.
- Choose the Super wild Card Icon on the main menu and press B to enter sub- menu. Use /\, \/ on D-pad to chose function. RAM:xxM shows how much RAM is inside and a small symbol after that means Battery Back-up SRAM onboard (inside). Use B to accept an option and Y to abort. No you can come to our Super wild Card menu to play game. First you must prepare one 2HD Disk whick contains game files backed up from cartridge (see Cartridge sub menu). To play game from disk chose Load Game Super wild Card sub-menu, when you see 'insert disk' you must insert your disk. A list of files will come up, chose which one you want and pres B to confirm. Your Super Wild Card will now load and run the game. If you used 2 or more disks to backup your game cartridge it will ask you to 'insert next disk', remove disk 1 and insert disk 2 and so on.
- How to use Backup Data/Restore Data options (for Battery Back-up)
- Backup Data option: Some games have Battery Bavckup function. In those games you will play and at some point have to save to Battery Backup SRAM. Using this you can save this point. Next time you can play from this point. Due to Super wild Card Battery RAM is multi-use, so at this time you can prepare a blank disk, give a name and save it to disk. Next time you play you can resore data to SMS3201 battery SRAM to use. Restore Data: Last time you played you saved backed up SRAM (battery backup data) to disk, so now you can resore data to SMS3201 and continue from last where you left last time.
- (Editors note: I hope thats nice and clear! What I did was to save game as normal in the game then switch off the system and switch back on STRAIGHT AWAY, go into the menu and choose to Backup Data - it seemed to work. To restore save game data choose Resore Data and load the save game file, then load and run the game as normal.
- Disk Manager Utility.
- In Disk Manager Utility we have five functions:
- 1. Format disk - choose an option and press B to confirm, you will now see a count down. To go back press Y.
- 2. Remame File - First load file name to window, chose which file name you want to change. Press B to change name. Enter in new name. Push B to confirm change.
- 3. Delete File - choose this option, press B, choose file to delete and press B to confirm delete.
- 4. Load File 5.
- Save File - theses options are for backing up disk to disk only.
- Magic Finger - Sectet Code Edit password
- There is a total of 10 codes can use. If you use Mutli -Doctor code in here add a G at the begining of it to change it to SMS3201 code format. When finished entering code push B. Return to main menu by pushing Y, chose Super Wild Card icon to enter Super Wild Card sub-menu and choose Play Game, the game will become 99 lives or invincible etc. All passwords can be backed-up to disk and when time to play the same game you can restore it to SMS3201.
