- I can’t get away from Them.
- I try and take different routes to my destination, or to hide in stores and buildings.
- At first, it seems like I got away, but then I spot one…standing there, unmoving, heedless of what’s going on around Them.
- At first, I thought it was a weird coincidence. I took my usual bus home, and in the middle of the aisle, with nobody standing close, was the first one. Of course, I can’t see Their faces, and they never move.
- But I knew, somehow, that They were staring at me.
- The next day, I dealt with another one of Them during the entire bus ride to work. I tried to ask what They wanted, but of course, got no response. Turning my music up wasn’t enough to distract me from the feeling of a person staring directly at me.
- That’s how it started – just one of Them on all my buses. Then, I noticed Them elsewhere. When I was bagging groceries, one was outside the window. When I was at my game store, They were in the corner. I was walking down the street, and They were standing in the middle of traffic.
- That one I watched for a while…and cars just drove around him. No honking, no trying to force Them to move. They just swerved and drove on.
- They’ve become part of my life now. Always staring, never moving. I don’t know what They are, or what They want. It’s been 6 months now, and I’ve nearly attacked them multiple times…but I’m scared of what will happen if I do.
- I can’t sleep anymore. My friends think I’m crazy, talking about Them – of course they’re standing in front of us, Richard! Can’t you see that creepy asshole staring at us?! – so I gave up. I just try my best to ignore Them…but it’s no use.
