<Dashkal> There's some good news.  After t3 I think it is you can make rituals, and using them you can avoid the standing there bleeding bit.
<ChJees> Wayoftime got lots of balancing to do in the fun department imo.
<Dashkal> There are already things to help mitigate.  The bloodletters backpack has a cap of 10k, which is enough for three t2 shards.

<Dashkal> So instead of standing there, you just go about your business letting the pack fill (snacking on stuff since you /are/ bleeding here).
<Dashkal> Every 10k you bounce off the altar, use a hopper to push in three stone, and repeat until you have enough
<Dashkal> This still takes (in my opinion) too long, but it does mitigate things
<ChJees> The thing is nothing in Thaumcraft felt like grinding :s.

<Dashkal> I find if I dedicate myself to the task, I can be done that slate grind and get to t3 in about an hour and a half.  Boring as hell, but I watch youtube while it ticks away

<BBSplat> even crafting them costs a ton of alienis though
<BBSplat> which isn't super easily obtained
<Dashkal> End access.  5 minutes with a fortune 3 sword
<BBSplat> that's still grinding
<Dashkal> Ender pearls are trivial to obtain
