  1. >Rin left the juicing station with a lot of energy
  2. >it was the next day and as far as he knew he still had a job, since he received no messages telling him he's fired
  3. >he walked briskly through the crowds on the way to his workplace
  4. >he wore only his berry suit and carried a small bag, thinking there was no use in wearing his suit and tie for only part of the day
  5. >Rin entered the large building and made his way to the elevators
  6. >to his surprise others crowded onto the elevator with him
  7. >he tried to calm himself down by reminding himself that he wasn't that big, at least not yet
  8. >the doors of the lift opened into his workplace and he quickly made his way down the isle to his cubical
  9. >entering his small office, it was the same way he had left it yesterday
  10. >he placed his bag on the floor and checked his watch
  11. >Rin was 5 minutes early today as he sat down at his computer
  12. >turning his computer on he was happy to see a new stack of work waiting for him, meaning he still an employee here
  13.
  14.
  15. >today was nearly identical as yesterday
  16. >Rin sat at his computer, figuring out how to perform the various tasks that piled up in his inbox
  17. >no one in the office came to talk to him
  18. >he unpacked his lunch and ate it alone
  19. >and just like yesterday, Rin continued to swell
  20. >he cast his chair aside around lunch time, noting to himself that he was going to have to find something else to sit on one day
  21. >the sound of occasional bubbling of juice or creaking of his tightening hide came from the dragon
  22. >he wondered how much the sounds his body made traveled outside his office walls
  23. >the swelling made it slightly more difficult to work, though it was nothing he couldn't handle
  24. >the sudden buzzing on his wrist told him that his shift was done
  25. >Rin quickly shut off his computer and grabbed his bag as he left his office, happy that nothing had happened today
  26. >the dragon strode down the isle on his way to the elevators, being extra aware not to destroy anything with his tail
  27. >"Rin... Mr. Bluecrest would like to see you" a familiar voice said
  28. >Rin stopped in his tracks, just having passed Jo's desk that sat outside his bosses office
  29. >he reminded himself to breath as backed up
  30. >his bosses door was wide open as the bloated dragon waddled through it
  31.
  32.
  33. >Rin stood in the same place as he had yesterday
  34. >the familiar warmth spread over him as he couldn't help but reflect on his position
  35. >a pressurized blueberry dragon, his inflated junk that was only partially hidden by his suit pointing directly at his boss
  36. >"Ah Rin. Do you like working here?" Kyle said, who was standing at the side of his desk
  37. >"Yes I do" Rin replied
  38. >"That's good because you have done very well with your work so far" Kyle continued, "We would like to keep you working here"
  39. >"Ttthank you ssthur..." Rin had reluctantly accepted the fact that it was nearly impossible to speak clearly with his condition, "I would very muth like thhat"
  40. >Kyle paused, looking down at his desk
  41. >"Your blueberry condition....is that being handled well?" he spoke
  42. >"Yeth it is"
  43. >he still hadn't discussed his condition with his boss and wasn't even sure he would be sympathetic to his problems
  44. >"As long as I *mmmpph* ...I juth myselff in time.... efferything is okay."
  45. >Kyle again gave a long pause, looking at his desk, "Okay you can go, I wouldn't want to keep you"
  46. >Rin turned around to leave
  47. >"Oh and Rin. Can you place this on Richard Markus' desk as you leave? Thanks"
  48. >Kyle walked over to Rin holding out a small folder
  49. >"Okay I will" Rin said as he grabbed the folder, stepping out of the office
  50.
  51.
  52. >a small shock went through Rin's chest as he moved out into the office
  53. >Jo, who had been sitting at her desk when he went into his bosses room, was no longer there
  54. >he didn't even think to ask his boss where this folder was suppose to go, automatically assuming Jo would be the help him with any office needs
  55. >an even bigger shock went through his chest as he heard the door behind him close, followed with the sound of a deadbolt being shut
  56. >he looked behind and sure enough, his bosses door was closed
  57. >he turned back around, hoping the fox would suddenly appear at her desk, but there was no one
  58. >Rin quickly glanced around the immediate area looking for any other employees, but finding none, and he couldn't see over the walls of the various cubicles for anyone inside
  59. >panic welled up inside of the dragon realizing the dilemma he faced
  60. >the companies workplace was big, taking up nearly the entire floor of the large building
  61. >he could go back and knock of his bosses door and ask for directions
  62. >he could just leave the folder on Jo's desk and hope it would find its way to its destination
  63. >but neither of those options sounded acceptable to him, thinking it would make him look incompetent or lazy
  64. >after all that he had been through, he was determined not to lose him job
  65. >Rin tried his best to suppress his panic as he backtracked down the hallway past his own cubicle
  66.
  67.
  68. >Rin had moved to the far corner of the office, furthest away from the elevators
  69. >instead of randomly searching the place in hopes he found it, he decided to take a safer approach
  70. >he began moving up and down the isles of the office, searching the entire place so he wouldn't have to double back
  71. >he held onto the folder as he carefully checked the name plates on each location he passed
  72. >it quickly became apparent that few, if anyone, remained at work as he saw no one in the halls or the cubicles
  73. >with no one around, the dragon decided to pick up the pace which caused his thick tail to swing heavily once again
  74. >the noise of his tail crashing into the desk, walls, and equipment in his path echo'd throughout the office as it had yesterday
  75. >the dragon wondered if there where any padded attachments for his berry suit that would reduced the destructiveness of his tail
  76. >just after searching over half the office, Rin had found the place he was looking
  77. >with the thought of his job on his mind, he held the folder up to the name plate on the cubicle, checking every letter
  78. >relived that it matched, he waddled into to the cubicle and placed it on the desk
  79. >wasting no time, he left the office heading straight for the elevators
  80.
  81.
  82. >Rin hit the call button on the wall as he reached the elevator
  83. >he breathed heavily as he came to a rest, just having moved around faster than he would have normally
  84. >the feeling of frustration fell over the dragon as he thought of what just happened
  85. >a simple and almost forgettable task was made difficult due to his condition
  86. >not only did he have to fight the size and pressure of his own body, he had a time limit as well
  87. >he didn't know how much time had passed and was almost reluctant to check
  88. >he brought his watch up in front of his view
  89. >it was 15 minutes after his shift
  90. >Rin sighed, he was still well within his juicing schedule, but didn't like having window of time that small
  91. >he really didn't want to over inflate at work, especially on his second day
  92. >a small chime ringed out as the elevator arrived
  93. >Rin did the same maneuver as yesterday, he turned around and backed into the elevator with his tail squishing against the back of it
  94. >happy to still fit, he pressed the ground floor button
  95. >a small thought ran through his mind as the doors closed
  96. >he wondered if this entire situation was a set up
  97. >for his boss, Kyle, to send him on a task without directions, wasting his limited time and causing Rin to blow up so much he got stuck
  98. >Rin quickly dropped these thought however, believing he was just being paranoid
