Teachers and administrators from eight diverse PLC schools share their successful strategies and inspiring experiences. Throughout the program, PLC authorities Richard DuFour, Robert Eaker, and Rebecca DuFour spotlight the essentials of the PLC process, with supporting commentary from education experts Lawrence Lezotte, Tom Many, Mike Schmoker, and Rick Stiggins. This resource can be presented in four half-day workshops.

  17. Richard DuFour was a public school educator for 34 years, serving as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. Dr. DuFour is one of the nation s foremost authorities on applying PLC principles in the real world of schools.
  18. Rebecca B. DuFour has served as a teacher, school administrator, and central office coordinator. As a former elementary principal, she helped her school earn state and national recognition as a model professional learning community. She is recognized nationwide for her energetic and enlightening PLC presentations.

Robert Eaker is currently a professor of education at Middle Tennessee State University where he has also served as Dean of the College of Education and as Interim Executive Vice-President and Provost. Dr. Eaker has written extensively on a wide range of school improvement issues and regularly consults with school districts across North America.
