- The coastline of lendol is rugged and contains multiple islands, generating radar shadow which would act as C3D2 for small naval combatants (for example corvettes). This type of sea bottom will also likely be haven for conventional submarines to operate. It is also very proper terrain for mine warfare.

- Areas on Strachan sea and between nachaira strait provide little freedom of manouevere for blue water forces, and make them easy to detect.

- Presence of large number of islands allow Lendol to expand the range of air defense and land based cruise missiles.

- I am not sure of the scale, but most of the areas of Strachan sea seem to be within range of land-based aviation located in Lendol.

- Blocking the strait of Nasaira could potentially cause economic fallout.
