Dear people hating on the Ice Bucket Challenge,

I know better than most about hating on the popular thing to rack up cool points, but the fact of the matter is that the challenge has raised 15 million dollars for a disease that traditionally has had little visibility and has been pretty underfunded. It is also a disease that I watched slowly kill my Uncle when I was a child. So I think it's a good thing.

p.s. If you're going to use the "children in Africa (which is still not a state) could use that water" argument you need to be, you know, actively involved in getting African (maybe choose a specific region, it may be too much to ask you to name a state) children water. You can't just pull them out in an argument any time you need them.

p.p.s. Also that's not how the water cycle works, water that's poured on the ground evaporates. Didn't any of you watch magic school bus? It was pretty dope.
