- SKILLS
- There are Ten Skills which form the basis of a character. Each one serves as the focus for Tests, and is affected by Skill Points.
- MC: Melee Combat. This skill controls all hand-to-hand fighting and weaponry and maintenance thereof.
- RC: Ranged Combat. This skill controls all missile combat and weaponry and all maintenance thereof.
- COM: Command. This skill controls all buffs, debuffs, and restoration skills as well as Crew NPC.
- RP: Repair. This skill controls all repairing of items and crafting of new ones.
- SV: Salvage. This skill controls all salvage and gathering of resources, tools, and raw materials.
- KN: Knowledge. This skill controls all book learning, feats of intelligence, technical skills, and serves as one of the three magic stats.
- FS: Fellowship. This skill controls all noncombat buffs and interactions with Allied NPC.
- TL: Talent. This skill affects spot checks, quests, and the character's level of savvy and competence at everyday tasks.
- SE: Seamanship. This skill affects the ability to use all watercraft of any form.
- NV: Navigation. This skill affects the ability to find a path on sea, the ability to use dead reckoning, and all forms of guidance.
- STATS
- There are three stats, Health Sanity, and Faith. Health is a measure of a person's physical wellness, while Sanity is a measure of mental wellness and Faith is a measure of spiritual wellness. A character has a max of 10 HP, 1o F, and 100 SAN for the game, which may be raised through artificial means but never changes as a base stat.
