The Rite of the Xiaolin Showdown

The Xiaolin Showdown is a time-honored test of skill and magical prowess and can be performed as a binding magical ritual.. Any time there is a conflict over a magical object, commonly referred to as a Shen Gong Wu, by two opposing forces there can be a Xiaolin Showdown to settle the score and determine the victor.

The rite of the Xiaolin Showdown is a contest of magical skill that can be performed to ascertain the outcome of any conflict.

First, for the Xiaolin Showdown to be carried out there must be an enemy, or enemies. And there also must be a thing that is desired, a cause, and outcome, or an objective that is to be attained. The sigil method is a good method to use to give form to the enemy or enemies you will oppose in the rite of the Xiaolin Showdown. The Sparian method or any other method of your choice may be used to create the sigil. What is important is that the sigil or sigils made to represent the enemy or enemies must be as representative of who or what you view as your opponent or opponents as possible.

Once you have determined your goal and isolated your enemies in achieving that goal you must challenge your opposition to a Xiaolin Showdown the wagers must be made. The goal for which the Xiaolin Showdown is being performed as well as the thing wagered should also be given form in a sigil or other manner. Both the indivual performing the rite and the opposition must make a wager. The formation of the thing the Xiaolin Showdown is being performed towards and the things wagered should be treated as magical items called Shen Gong Wu.


The conditions of the Xiaolin Showdown are to be determined by the individual performing the rite of the Xiaolin Showdown. However the conditions must involve a wager of something that is very important to the individual and the conditions must be for a contest that the one performing the rite and all opposition the rite is being performed against have a near equal chance of winning or losing. A set of Xiaolin Showdown conditions that puts the thing wagered at an immediate risk of loss if the Xiaolin Showdown is failed is the most effective however the immediacy and risk of the loss of the thing wagered is not necessary and the magic will take the thing wagered from you eventually if you fail the Xiaolin Showdown. No one set of conditions can be used more than once for a Xiaolin Showdown.

Once the rules of the contest to be performed as the Xiaolin Showdown are determined, and before you begin the Xiaolin Showdown, you must say the magic words that signify the beginning of the rite. Once these magic words are spoken the rite begins and cannot be undone or reversed. Backing out from the rite of the Xiaolin Showdown after you say the magic words to begin it counts as a loss and you will lose the thing that was wagered. The magic words are: Gong Yi Tan Pai.

If you win the Xiaolin Showdown then you will be that much closer to the ascertained attainment of your objective and will have eliminated the opposition towards your goal that you performed the rite of the Xiaolin Showdown against as well as winning from them the Shen Gong Wu that they wagered. If you lose the Xiaolin Showdown then you will not attain your goal and you will lose what you have wagered.

Stronger versions of this rite may be performed. Two stronger versions of this rite are the Shen Yi Bu Dare in which additional Shen Gong Wu are wagered by all forces participating in the Xiaolin Showdown or the Shen Yi Bu All In which is a contest in which everything pertaining to the goal for which the Xiaolin Showdown is being performed is wagered. Immediacy of risk of loss given the outcome of the Xiaolin Showdown being present is more important in these variations of the Xiaolin Showdown which carry more risk in the wager.

The Shen Yi Bu All In is a very dangerous version of the rite of the Xiaolin Showdown and is not recommended due to the amount of loss that losing the Xiaolin Showdown will incur.
