Sly plans

Hiya people, just writing a quick update to keep you up to scratch on what the next few months will have in store for you on my channel.

So, it seems like Sly 1 is growing stale. Not just for me, but regarding viewers too. The game's repetitive reset heavy nature mixed with an uprising of a lot of new runners makes for oversaturation, so I've been wanting to attack some of the other Sly games, especially after the Slyfecta, which really gave me motivation to do the other games.

Now this being said, I'll still be doing Sly 1, but expect a mixture of 1 and 2, with 3 luring in the horizon. ESA 2017 is coming up, and for those who do not know what that is, ESA is the European Speedrunners Assembly, which is essentially the biggest speedrun marathon outside of Games Done Quick, and it'll take place in Sweden this July. I submitted Sly 1, and a bidwar was accepted in which any% and All Keys will be competing for the category slot I will be running. As such, I will need to stay prepared for that. Plus, I really wanna improve in both any% and All Keys, so I am not putting Sly 1 on hold just yet.

As for Sly 2, my time is nearly 1½ years old as of writing this. I would like that to change. However, I have not been keeping up to date with strats in the game. Like at all. So, I am doing research on the individual episodes to prepare for the mid and late game. I feel like my first 3 episodes are still decent enough, but episode 4 and onwards are kinda shit. This needs to change.

My Sly 3 run is even older. Was set 2 months before my Sly 2 time. This will have to change as well. I don't expect to grind Sly 3 much and I don't expect to really spend much time on it.

Goals for now:

Sly 1:

Any%: Get WR back, push for a 55:xx
All Keys: Get WR

Sly 2:

Any%: Sub 5:30, but with gradual improvement
100%: I might wanna do this again, but don't quote me on this lmao

Sly 3:

Any%: WR

I might do a weekly Slyfecta in the future, once I master all the three first Sly games again. Curent PB is 14:15:25, and I wanna see how low that can go. I can save at least 30 mins in Sly 2 and well, Sly 3 wasnt even near a sub 7 hours. Loads of room for improvement. Could be cool to see that get lowered to a mid 13-hours.
